Damn my 03 LX tops 125 and then usually auto shuts down my engine. It takes about 3-5 mins to top out lol. Still a fun car!

Guys, thanks for the vid. I had a 2003 LX 4-door....I did get a factory spoiler for it. If I did my part, the car would get 48 mpg! I think I had it up to 100 once....140 though? CRAZY. my auto 03 civic ex is rather slow, ive hit 130mph in it but it takes for ever. i assume that the civic in the vid is at least a five speed. because im almost positive my car would not pull an extra 9 or 10 miles out of its slow stock ass. what would be some mods worth buying for an auto 03 civic ex? is it possible to make the car gain more torque? i want my front tires to break loose ez and i dont want to sound like a fart can neither LMAO

What's interesting is that an '03 EX has a higher top speed than the newest Si. The gearing in 6 th gear in the Si is tall and the reason why most people have trouble breaking 130. The '03 EX's 5th Gear allows the engine to reach its peak power. It's top speed is almost redline limited.

well dude i said a k20 vs a turbo b18 not stock b18 lol and i never said nething about a b16 because theres no point there an economy engine. and i know two people with new si's. there nowere near as fast as an evo or sti. i drove a stock wrx not sti and it that was better. but unless you mod mod mod you cant compare to a evo or wrx. and the thing that a civic will never match is there handeling. you cant beat awd. but i love hondas and wouldnt settle for anything other than an evo.

Its possible to go 140mph, i got a 94 civic ex 2dr d16z6 stock motor. It's got AEM short ram intake , and a 2.25 pipping with universal exhaust. It takes time to hit 140, but it does get there.

i have the speed limiter on. the chip is a custom from one of the shops out were i am at. It for one makes my car think that its 10-20 degrees colder then it really is. Two i have had the ecu worked for the headers and no cat with the chip. But the car will make it over 140 stock as long as you have the right parts

The new Civic SI's have a governor on them that limits them from going above 130-133 mphs. I took the car up that speed as well, once you get up to 129ish 130, the car cuts the fuel.
