hey i was priming my 79 350 engine but the priming tool would snap out and in from the oil pump shaft .. can some tell me if i did something wrong.. i would have to put alot of pressure down on the drill to get about 60 psi on guage...

Respond to this video... Melling MPL-101 is a useless tool for LS based engines. the post in the back of the engine for oil sending unit is M16 X1.5 thread. There is no adapter for that. The 1/8 & 1/4 MPT adapters are useless! A 250.00 tool I expect better from Melling! Waited a week to arrive and can not sue the tool! And there is not a port anywhere on the engine that is 1/8 or 1/4 npt GM LS7 427

is it easyer too prime the engine while the motor is out of a car or truck? i have a old stick 350v8 i hope it will have good oil and it will prime
