  • I was raised by SOUTHERNERS,,,my parents from Arkansas,,my dad could charm your socks off. They took me to western Penna. when I was 5. I always wished I had THAT SOUTHERN ACCENT. I"m quite GLIB,,always have been,,I COULD CHARM YOUR SOCKS (and other things) OFF,,BABYCAKES!! GIRLS ONLY.

  • I'm from Georgia and I have a much thicker accent than hers, I think. It must be the area she's from or whatever. Check out my video about my accent if you want to hear me, lol!

  • wtf is an accryate???? learn how to speak & people wont portray southerners as idiots.

  • @omgmyhurrr Shut the fuck up it has to do with culture. We aint gone lose our tradition because some dumb ass wanna complain about somebody not speaking the standard way of english.

  • 0:13 "accryate?"? Really?

  • @HallCrichton I thought exactly the same thing...

  • That's not even close to Georgia accent... Lame.

  • Comment removed

  • @sashok3186 yeah it is actually. where the fuck are you from. Im from georgia, and thats what 70% of chicks talk like.

  • You won't hear as much of an accent from young people like her because most young people today spend more time in front of the TV than they do talkin with the older folks.

  • PROUD TO BE B*O*S*T*O*N*I*A*N!!!

  • she doesnt have to much of an accent at all

  • @AgentCarter Not really huh? I dated a guy from GA and he had a real thick southern drawl, I loved it. Like I say eye, he says ah. I got hit in the ah.

  • @XGGX9384 um, ok...what does that have to do with my comment?

  • @XGGX9384 I didn't mean to send it to you....sorry.

  • The PLURAL of YA'LL is ALL'YA'LL. Like Brother Dave Gardner always said NEVER HEARD OF "ANYONE" RETIRING TO THE NORTH,,,DIDJA ??

  • Southern Accents are the prettiest in the world, I think :)

  • yeaah it's pretty acreate

  • what? are you serious.

  • akriet lol

  • stfu!!!

  • Honestly, this is a very weak southern accent lol.

  • "Acreat" must be the Georgian way to say Accurate?

  • @robertjohnson487 no not really I'm from GA and I don't say that....

  • If you cant say hey yall...your nothing close! lol idiot

  • @200890stephanie not all of us georgians say hey yall lol

  • I have to admit, you sound more country than southern. I'm southern, and damn proud of it. My friends from up north tell me all the time that I have an accent. Of course, to me, I don't have an accent, they do. You drop the 'g' on 'ing' and you pronounce your 'i's weird. Not quite northern, but with an accent. I'm from Georgia, too, but I've never actually heard anyone speak with that accent before. I completely agree with ea42455.

  • Sorry Ma'am, but your southern accent is pretty negligible. No southern flat "i", you pronounce the "ing" ending rather than dropping the "g", and your pronunciation of "blog" sounds like the northern "blaag" rather than the southern "blawg" (as in "How 'bout them dawgs?"). I'd say you're either (1) from the city; (2) your parents are from the north; or (3) you've lost touch with your southern roots. Too bad; a southern accent can be really melodic --- as long as there's not too much "twang."

  • acreate lol

  • I have a Southern accent, and i am from washington and I dont know if people have a southern accent from there, I think I got it from my mother she is from california, and I have a very good American accent because my father is in the military so I move all around.

  • Your mother is not from the south kiddo.

  • sounds just like my accent... i'm from arkansas.

  • YANK YANK SO FRIGIN AMERICAN

  • Interesting. Do you swallow?

  • lol

  • love that accent

  • what cities or states speak the veryvery veryveryvery DEEPdeepdeepdeepdeep southern accent

  • kentucky!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Louisiana 4 sure

  • probably New Orleans or the south west part of GA. Well i don't consider myself to have a thick accent until i go above the DC area. If you are from the south, i mean raised there you more than likely have a thick southern accent.

IDK i am just proud of my south Georgia area!

  • :P i dont got one. im from the most not southern part of GA. not as in location not sother, but as in they dont act southern.

  • You probably don't have a thick accent around southerners. Trust me i felt the same until i went north.

  • i went to england this summer and they thought i was from cali. no, :P

  • then again they may not know the difference in cali accents and every other one. but the def thought i wasnt southern

  • Maybe you don't, because my friends and i arent the typical southerners. we are considered accentless southerners here but in England when they went for the world jamboree they were called out on it a good deal lol

  • i'm from North Carolina.....and most of the time we do not say HEY YA'LL......i hate it when ppl think that we say that all the time.....ugh

  • It seems foreigners love the southern accent. My Spanish professor said when she was in Spain the loved her accent. Europeans seem to think the southern U.S. accent is sexy. If there is a foreigner reading this tell me if that is true.

  • its true man..i'm from the Philippines and i love that southern accent..i crave for it..end up replying to your comment.

  • I thought so. Here in the U.S. they usually stereotype the southern accent as a sign of ignorance. Of course, it's base on how we are portrayed in the media and in movies. You will find excentrics everywhere but they don't represent every one in that region. By the way, I think the Asian girls are cute.

  • I like southern accent, the way they extend the vowels..

  • It's true, It's damn true. lol

I was born in Denmark and my girlfriend is from Alabama And i love her southern accent, it's sexy specially from girls.

  • Everyone has an accent. It doesn't matter when you live.

  • What the fuck does acriate mean? Do you take Zoloft or Xanax?? You might wanna get your dosage checked...and eat a cheeseburger, you fucking tweaker.

  • your accent's not that thick.....

  • hey, reppin mid GA. what part u from?

what challenge r u talkin bout? i see the video is older, so....

  • I'm from Memphis, TN but most of my friends don't really have an accent. I, on the other hand, do. Most of my family is either from Clarendon, Arkansas, or Coffeeville, MS. We have the worst accents and my friends make fun of me ALL the time for it.

  • @mambo08italiano Your friends are "not your friends" A FRIEND IS SOMEONE WHO KNOWS HOW YOU ARE AND STILL LIKES YOU.

  • i am from australia and i love the southern accent

  • I'm from Texas too, and my accent is pretty neutral until I get tired, angry or drunk. :)

  • Taoufik thats not a Northern accent. She has A Southern accent

  • ah....i actually hear a bit of northern in your accent...ex: you say talk instead of tawk...

  • that would make her southern accent light as opposed to thick

  • What'd ya say ta me, boy!?

  • why you think that you have a southern accent

I hearing and you seams like a northen girl without a question

  • Are u serious?? Can u not hear her?? There are different grades of accents just because her southern accent isn't thick doesn't mean she don't have one - hers is just light.

  • acreate?

  • You are too cute :)

  • haha im from texas,

and all my friends say i have the most southern drawl theve ever heard

  • or how we say "wooder" for "water"

  • no change your voice, change your mind...

the official lenguage in US is English, the unity of country!

  • PARABRAZ yeah we should all sound like we're from MASS. NY CONN. NJ like that old fat sot TED KENNEDY

  • shes is speaking english dumbass,

and fyi the US doesnt have an official language!

  • you sound a little cityfied to me but i still hear a bit of an accent

  • to the dude that doesn't hear the diference btween southern and northern accents...are you joking me?...seriously you cant hear the diffrence btween alabama and boston?..get ears!

  • @MK188833 lol yeah if someone can't tell a difference they aren't from this country lol. I know foreigners and they can't pick up on my Southern accent, but any Northerners I talk to know I am from the South

  • im from the south, south georgia, and our accents are really strong, and country. you can most def tell it on me (:

  • I'm from Mississippi, and I noticed my accent is existant, but not really really thick, like you would expect a "redneck" to talk. I can exaggerate my accent really well when I'm joking around, but talking normally, I kinda talk like you which is a little more refined and in my opinion doesn't sound "hick".

  • I'm from Alabama and I've never understood how a southerner speaks differently from a northerner. I really dont hear any differences in the way that we speak but northerners make a big deal out of it even though to me theres not much of a difference. So..can any of you northerners please tell me what your hearing when someone from the south speaks???

  • It's like how we Southerners say "hee'im" for "him"

    or "wail" for "well"

just to name a few examples.... i get teased for it constantly. I live on the West Coast.

  • I'd rather talk and listen to a SOUTHENER any time. They're more HONEST. MORE REAL MORE DOWN HOME AND MAKE YOU FEEL AT HOME.

  • @THEMOJOMANsince1959

    Bullshit.

  • @THEMOJOMANsince1959

unfortunately, that hasn't been my experience with southerners.

they're not honest, in fact they consider honesty 'too direct', and it clearly makes them very uncomfortable, you really have to mince words and talk around things with them.

SOuthern hospitality...I'm still trying to figure this one out. I think southerners have a unique understanding of what hospitality is. I've had some really disappointing/shocking experiences w. southerner's etiquette as hosts and guests.

  • @Amilah2010 Yeah RIGHT !! Just lump everyone into the same barrel. No wonder the COMMUNITY ORGANIZER got elected president.

  • @THEMOJOMANsince1959 that was off topic but thanks for the lead in, I'd like to add that based on the stuff that comes out of their mouths they are pretty racist.

  • @THEMOJOMANsince1959 OOPS shoulda used spell check !!

  • @THEMOJOMANsince1959 actually it really annoys me to; not just their accent, but their lack of intelligence

  • Are you kidding? I'm German and can clearly hear the difference. "Time" is replaced with a word that sounds like "tahm". "Town" sounds like "Teyon". All the ow-sounds are turned into this eyo-sound. Let's go Deyonteyon and move areyon. Sounds very hicky even for German ears.

  • ok aber nicht immer

  • go live in the north for awhile and you'll hear your accent. when i was in SC, I would talk to my friends in SD a lot. They said I had one but I couldn't hear it.

  • i'm from south carolina and don't have an accent at all, but if i want i can sound like i have one really good

  • ohh cute accent :P

  • I think you sound like a Gemini but you don't have an accent.

  • u dont think you have that much of a country accent i have a very obvious cuntry accent so i can tell that o srry but u dont [ and i was raised in Ga. too ] :]]]]

  • I'm from York County, Va and that's definitely not a southern accent. You said you from da GA, but you just sound like you from da AK.

  • its sounds more like a north georgia accent

  • lol a southern person isn't gonna hear another person's accent because it sounds just like them!! I'm from North Carolina and speak bout tha same as her. Since we have so many other types of accents here I can hear hers a little, though. Good goin :)

  • I'm from southeast Texas... hahaha, talk about an accent.

  • Yer pretty hot. How old are ya?

  • i dont hear any accent, but then again I'm not from America

  • You sound like a Polack!!!!

  • Hi there! Just wanted to say that i really like the Southern accent, esp Tennessee accent! sometimes i find myself trying to imitate and i sound completely stupid :-P i can never get it right but i enjoy listening to it very much, and some lovely country sayings too

  • oh, so you aren't and obviously are a hick. please don't prove my points.

  • you dont even have a damn acent!

shit i have more of a acent that you and im from Seattle Washington!

  • ummm...she has a southern accent to me...but then again im from jersey...

  • hey, me too! :D

  • you cant beat a cockney girls accent, dam bitch cost me alot of money but hey its all worth it

  • The Southern accent is fading into oblivion and, probably, within two generations, it will cease to exist. Good or bad? Whatever, it will be gone forever.

  • haha i think shes funny :]

    i live in the c o u n t r y and i know sounthern accents...

i didnt hear one coming from that girl.

though, i dont have a full-fledged accent..i know a lot of people with a better accent.

    :]

  • I find it funny at those who says she doesn't have a southern accent. Most people don't even know what a southern accent is because they don't live in the south and probably have never been there. Movies rarely if EVER get southern accents right, so don't try to use movies as a reference.

  • she did have a southern accent. coming from a texan, yes she does. we does not ride ponies and say hay yall. i'm sorry. africana is right. the movies never get southern accents right. hey yall is a Paula Dean thing.

  • was born and raised in north carolina and dont hear a bit of an accent from her

  • You don't? I was born and raised in Tennessee and I hear very well.

  • I'm from Mississippi, and I must say, it's pretty obvious.

  • i disagree

  • Sounds clear as day to me

  • Im joking i love you ... i love your accent ... MARRY MEEEEEEEEEEEEEE ...

  • HOPE DIS AINT WHAT YO WANTED ( EXPOSED )

  • thank you.

im from texas, and i hate it when people automatically think EVERYONE from texas talks like a hillbilly and whatever.

i was thinking about doing the same thing you did.

    :]

  • Same here, I went to Arizona and showed them my ID (under age; 16) and the guy goes "Oh your from Texaaaaas!" with a huge accent that was supposed to be Texan. It gets annoying.

  • dude, i so agree. i went up to new york and these people were all asking why we didn't sound like texans and if we rode horses to school. I might say yall, or fixin' ta, but i am not a hick. all hail our texas.

  • lol you think thats bad?

im from canada and as soon as i cross the boarder ppl ask if i have a polar bear as a pet, or asked me how i make igloos

    like wtf lol

    hollyy

  • you have an accent, but to me it's not as strong as a lot of other southern accents, or deep southern accents, but I can hear yours. I used to live in (northern) Virginia and I live in Mass and until I moved up here I never noticed the slight, but noticeable accent people have from where I used to live. But I explained to me why when ever I'm around someone with a southern accent I start talking like them.

  • I have Argentine accent and I love it. Actually, I think is best than any other accent. If you want to speak like me, I can try to help you but don't get your hopes to high, it's very difficult!

  • Of course you have a southern accent. (I'm from Georgia.) People just claim you don't because all they're used to is the grating cliches from Hollywood. So yes, anyone looking for southern accents to imitate, this one is good.

  • You dont have no accent ... get a life ... get a life with your no accent having ass ... my boy young folk has a real accent ... letsbeef young folk

  • uhhmm. i dont hear no southern accent :s

  • my favorite accent of all times is the yorker accent i would love to have that accent... my accent is from NJ similar but not as cool as the NY... if you have seen the movie saw 4 the one that had something attached to his neck thats the accent im talking about..

  • I'm from Texas. ;-) Ours is the best acccccent

  • I didn't really detect a southern accent.

  • thanx for the accent sample...I needed it for one of my characters! :D

  • you dont even have a southern accent freak

  • do u have myspace?

  • yankees can tell the difference... i'm a former yank, i live in NC now...

  • Go Bama!

I live in Alabama, and what is weird, is that even though the states both harbor "southern accents", they are still completely different. I wonder if yankees could hear the difference.

    :D

  • I love your accent it is so cute and I think you are adorable and a big sweetheart I have seen alot of your blogs you are a good person becca with a big heart always keep God # 1 the bible says."rejoice in the lord always and he will give you all the desires of your heart"

  • It's been said, BUT!!!!

    ACREATE!!!

    That's not an accent!

    That's just STUPID!

  • ur hot..

  • Wow! You sound similar to how I talk! XD

I'm from West Virginia. Though, I don't say "ya'll" or anything like that either. What I do is, I tend to shorten words that end in "ing", by dropping the g's. So I'll say, "Hey, what are you guys doin'" Doin' instead of doing. Also, I frequently say words like, gonna and wanna, and other similar words. ^^; LOL. XD

  • does anyone pronounce the G at the end of ing? other than like anchormen on the news and shit

  • You know what, I don't think I ever pronounce the g in words with "ing".

  • although you may not stress the actual "g" sound, you still say it differently. AshFangirlLisa means that if you take the word Walking, you may say it WALL-KEEN, wheras she pronounces it WALL-KIN.

  • I thought everybody said gonna and wanna. But what do I know, I'm from Nashville???

  • umm you have nearly no accent or distincting dialect whatsoever in this video, whereas in the other one you're in( which is linked to this video), you have a much stronger and prominent accent( also a twangy dialect.

    that's unusual

  • sometimes when i'm talking to a northerner i become conscious of my accent and tend to exagerate it or tone it down without thinking about it just because i know they are thinking about it

  • Acreate?

  • ahaha lol.

  • yeah you definatley dont have a good one XD Come to Decatur we'll show you a southern accent!

  • come to southern iowa it'll be perty twangy

  • trop mignonne !

  • i've watched your blogs for some time now, you are absolutely the most adorable woman i've ever seen, unreal.

  • she´s on coke!

  • This was excellent, please post more!!

  • is that database on your servers? no? alright then, shut the fuck up. there's a handy dandy search feature, look up something more interesting.

  • holly hunter, watch her older movies, shes from ATL and she has that old fashioned original southern accent,I know shes had dialect removal lessons over the yrs. cause hers has weakened a lot

  • Accriate? You mean accurate? lol Southern accents are cool i wish I had one.

  • you sound like a fucking yankee! You must be from up near ATL...cause you definitely ain't from down here round Statesboro!

  • I'm from Savannah Ga and you don't sound as southern as the people I grew up with. Have you lived any where else??? I've lived in NY for six years and sadly........lost a lot of my deep southern accent. I sound kind of like New Yorkers. I'll get it back when I move back home soon.

  • I don't find you got that thick of an accent... don't sound much southern to me anyway...

  • Could you post a video reply to this video and say a phrase so that we could try to imitate the accent?

  • southern accents rock!!

  • You don't have a deep southern accent. you don't have that southern draw, your twangy. I'm from Ga too.

  • wow, u seem like u've lost a lot of weight, are u alright? Just wondering, take care

  • That was nice of you to help out - on a sidenote, this was hilarious.

  • U ok? Maybe its the webcam? U look, ahhh. a little thinner. It is nice to see you back though. Thanks for posting!
