  • Melchisedech reminds me of Alec Guinness.

  • not even biblially accurate... boooo

  • Melchizedek is GOD no beginning no end he is GOD.

  • thats Enoch book 2,sorry all! my mistake !

  • "You are forever a priest in the order of Melchizedek."

this is a direct reference to Yeshua. Both high-priest's of GOD.

Melchizedek is said to be born before the flood.

Noah's Brother NIR and wife conceived a child

as NIR'S wife was very old and became pregnant

This child is said to have been born speaking and praising GOD.

His mother died during childbirth because of her age.

It is also said that The Angel Gabriel took the child into paradise

before the Great Flood. see Enoch Book 3

  • I prefer truth and righteousness over having control of enemies and winning victories. Anyone adopting a might-makes-right attitude has lost moral ground....as this god has.

  • The first recorded communion in the bible also done from someone that didnt come from the priestly line of Aaron which makes Hebrews 5:5,6 and chapter 7 even more valid !

  • I have this movie; it was a Ted Turner religious classic back in the '90's. Richard Harris plays Abraham and Barbara Hershey plays Sarah. It's a good movie, albeit, a Ted Turner production.

  • Melchezedek could mostly likely the be the Holy spirit of God who manifested himself to Abraham or an early manifestation of Christ before he became completely human and became also a sin offering for all.

  • Jesus Christ's (Yahs'hua which translates : God Saves ) mission was to come and save mankind from its sins. Melchizedek only appears briefly but brings Abraham bread and wine. Who also does this, and is called priest of the Most High God (Yahuweh Elohim), Jesus (Yah'shua). How is that Melchizedek did so before Christ became flesh? some may ask. Well if God consist of the Himself(Yahweh) His Word(Yah'shua or Jesus) and His Holy spirit and neither of the three have a beginning or end, then......

  • He could have been Gods Holy Spirit who manifested himself to Abraham with a sign from God The Father, it its said the Melchizedek has no beginning or ending so who could not have been an angle. Abraham is also called the friend of God because he believed. Jesus Christ is the Word of God who became flesh and lived amongst us and died for the sins of mankind and was risen By the Father on the third day.He calls us his friends if we do the will of Yahweh(God) his Father. Just as Abraham did.

  • Its pretty evident that Melchizedek is the Son of God if you read Hebrews chapter 7. Melchizedek was greater than Abraham because he blessed Abraham. And also, King of Salem (Peace), and Melchizedek is "King of Righteousness". And if you read throughout Hebrews you will learn that Jesus Christ is high priest of God; he shows the way to salvation.

  • Melchisedeq,is no angel for why would Abraham tithe to an angel? How could one tithe to him before they were born? I believe he was Christ...too many facts point to it . No one really knows for certain though.

  • There is a belief that Melchizedek was actually Shem, the son of Noah. I watch an evangelist named Perry Stone and he mentioned it to be a Jewish belief. I will check it out further.

  • what movie is this from?

  • @tomata182 Hi the name of the movie is Abraham from the Bible collection

    starring Richard Harris

  • 1:03 Melchizedek say's he is the King ,the Lords high priest of Salem . In the KJV the verse reads Gen 14:18, And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God. Don't the Torah say that Melchizedek is referring to a god and not Yahweh ,Hebrew word "le el" .

  • What is the name of the movie?

  • @fullfist did you ever find out the name of the movie?

  • the way he is pictured here is not how is in the bible supposly this is jesus

  • Perhaps the focus is on the bread & wine

  • @juancarlosnito56 Actually it is not Jesus. Jesus is of the order after Melchizedech. Which means he is an eternal high priest. Why? Because there is no record of Melchizedech's birth or death. No beginning or end. Also means he is not of the order of Aaron. A different priesthood. This is part of the New Covenant. The old covenant never produced anything good, only death. The new one, which has always been here just kept secret till God's plan came forth, abolished the old.

  • There is no historical evidence for Abraham.

  • Look ( Genesis 14:18-24 )

  • This is wonderful, this is one of the reasons we know him as the Father of faith

  • Bread and wine ,this was long before Jesus.he was a Priest of the most High(God)This MELCHISEDECH a mystery indeed this one, possibly an Angel.he knew the bread and wine principle while others still sacrificed animal flesh and blood .The old flesh must die and live by the faith indeed.(Spirit)

  • It is nice to see that others get it.

Abraham relly was the ather of Faith.

  • I don't think he was an angel. Although angels in the Bible always appear as men (never do they have wings!) I don't think this was the case with Melchisedec. Angel's as High Priests just doesn't make much sense for lots of theological reasons. Nevertheless, it is true that he is very intriguing.

  • Many consider King Melchizedek to the Great Angel of Abraham who held the highest priesthood. Many have also ventured to guess that he was Yahweh (based on recent finds in the Book of Deuteronomy) who was the Son of the Most High God. Obviously he gives the messianic prophecy of one greater than he who will bring back his priesthood (Jesus) and the bread and wine analogy is too blatantly obvious to any Christian. However, this is all just a theory.

  • It's a very good theory! Bread & wine indeed as well as Abraham giving a tenth of the spoils all before the Levitical priesthood was established. I relate it to John 8 Jesus says Abraham saw my day & was glad 8:58 before Abraham was I AM

  • God is so cool I love His types & shadows

  • @edavisdavis I think you'll find that the idea for Bread and Wine can just as easily have been recieved by Jesus, not for him.
