real true country has mostly died out which is why i listen to older music like Alabama George strait and all of them new artist suck when it comes to singing true country music and thats a shame
This used to be one of my favorite songs when I was a kid. I haven't heard it in so long. It was on pandora just a second ago...man good times...good memories!
Great song, but you should give credit to the song writer - Randy Van Warmer. He is the heart of the song. Unfortunately he has passed but left a great legacy. One of my favorites by Van Warmer -"Just When I Needed You Most". Anyway Alabama does a great rendition, but credit should go to everyone involved.
you say 50 cent-i say brad paisely you say eminem-i say uncle kracker you say miley cyrus-i say mel mcdaniels you say snop dog-i say alabama you say rap-i say country you say drake-i say conway twitty you say ozzy osborn-i say loretta lynn you say slim shadey-i say kid rock you say rehina-i say grethen willson you say ronnie hudson-i say charlie daniels 92% of teenagers have turned 2 rock,n rnb dont let da spirt of country die if u still lke country music gve dis a thumbs up
@god55100 Actually Country kinda died out a long time ago. About the only person whos country in this time and day is Jamie Johnson (That I'VE heard of) cause you see back in the ole days we had Walyon Jennings Johnny Cash Hank Williams Jr. (Who is still alive of course) David Allen Coe Willie Nelson (Whos also still alive) Merle Haggard George Jones and even Alabama. Not to mention that I just barley scratched the surface with those artists. So i believe its safe to say.Todays music isnt music
this is the song of my life. just got home from the hospital almost died now this song is represents how i used to live now im in no rush im just gonna live day by day. comment my comment if you find out how i almost died or need some words of advice and need help seen tht life is to important to live in a rush. gracias again Alabama.
A number of bands etc fit into that cross genre category now'a'days, but from their time, I'd say Eagles as mentioned below, and Creedence Clearwater Revival as well.
I remember listening to this song when I was 4. I still say that this song and "If You're Going To Play In Texas", are what got me interested in playing music!
This band belongs in a genre of music all by themselves, it's a harmonic blend of rock n roll and country, it appeals a lot to both groups. No one I can think of to compare them to...
1 person was in such a hurry they missed the like button.

They played this on the radio the day of his funeral. My heart stopped and then I smiled; I could almost feel him there with me.
