Everybody gotta remember that Hybrid Theory and Meteora were when the band was in their 20s (Chester was born in 1975) so when they were in their 30s they made M2-12AM and A1000S. They were obviously feeling different things by then. Chester can still scream and Mike can still rap so they can still perform their old songs. But we're still waiting for them to pull off another album; it might be heavy it might be soft, but judging by the way the fans feel it could be half-n-half.
my dream is to LP make a new album and that album should have Hybrid theory/Meteora style and MTM/ATS style, like a combination of a few heavy songs with rap and screams, and others like iridescent or burning in the skies, that would be the best album ever!

I loved linkin park from the napster days, I bought the CD when I visited new york in 2001. I even have a copy of the cd from chesters old band grey daze. What mike says here is correct. There is no way Linkin Park could even come close to catering for my current music taste as its changed so much. They just have to make something that feels great to them and hope folk like it.

man every record they put out since hybrid theory has gotten softer. my bet is this next one will be too. sadly. me and my friend quit listenin to minutes to midnight cuz its just not linkin park. it seems like some softcore band in alot of songs. i wish theyd go back to hybrid theory style.

I like some of LP's softer stuff like My December (my favourite song to hear Chester sing), but Minutes to Midnight was a step down from Meteora and not just because of it was softer. I didn't hear much of Mike Shinoda rapping on it and that's what I missed, bring back the sexy man's rapping and I'll be happier

I loved linkin park from the napster days, I bought the CD when I visited new york in 2001. I even have a copy of the cd from chesters old band grey daze. What mike says here is correct. There is no way Linkin Park could even come close to catering for my current music taste as its changed so much. They just have to make something that feels great to them and hope folk like it.

I hate how everyone seems to have a bug up their ass about A Thousand Suns just because it isn't the same style. It's still ok music and it's still LP guys. It cant hold a candle to Hybrid Theory or Meteora but we've got to accept that they've moved on

new linkin park is'nt gonna be as popular as their old music simply cos there are so many other shitty rap/rnb/homorock groups turning out similar stuff. like back when lp had done hybrid theory and meteora they were popular i think cos of their unique style and the fact that people dug nu-metal more back then. im really quite bummed at their new album...everytime i watch live in texas i get so depressed...

@Biffenstein1 i figured out because it's on amazon. A coll program is wavepad you can go to google, type in wavepad and get the program for editing cussing out of music it's incredible how well it sounds i can put up some edits that i made on my channel if you want me to, just reply and tell me

Music must evolve or it becomes stale. Korn sucks ass cause they cant change the beat on a bass line. AC/DC on the other hand could continue to do the same shit like they have been doing and it would still be awesome. Metallica now sucks cause they just tried way to hard. man every record they put out since hybrid theory has gotten softer. my bet is this next one will be too. sadly. me and my friend quit listenin to minutes to midnight cuz its just not linkin park. it seems like some softcore band in alot of songs. i wish theyd go back to hybrid theory style.

I COMPLETELY 100% AGREE WITH MIKE..in the past years i used to always like new rap and all that shit..i used to be in love with that shit..but the rap now sucks...AND THEY TALK ABOUT IS MONEY PUSSY AND WEED..which is why i got into more LP and other sick rock bands..everyones taste in music changes after a while..but i love the way mike spits in the mike,,hes so lyrical and raps about things that are actually worth rapping about..but other then that i cant wait for the new LP ALBUM!

I like some of LP's softer stuff like My December (my favourite song to hear Chester sing), but Minutes to Midnight was a step down from Meteora and not just because of it was softer. I didn't hear much of Mike Shinoda rapping on it and that's what I missed, bring back the sexy man's rapping and I'll be happier
