"SplitColor" - in the menu of the MH there is a category "SplitColor" with entering this, you can select the value. I Don't exactly now, maybe the value for "SplitColor" (like in the video) might be "yes" --- press enter, than you control this with your dmx control ...
i just wanted to congratulate on great programming. i have just ordered 3 Robe 160 xt and will be using the same programmer for my sequences. Im sure despite the extra capability with the lights il still not be able to match your show. Never the less il be using your video as inspiration.
one question i have is that it looks like each bank cycles several times but with differnt gobo and colours. Is this just a simple copy and pasting of pan and tilt with differnt colours/gobos on each bank?
Hey, Thanks for the comment. Each scene was programmed individually because I didn't know about the copy and paste function. I'm pleased it will be used as your inspiration
That's pretty awesome, how on earth do you programme something like that? I like the fact there are only four units but that's all you need these days for an effective light show.
A stupid question from a beginner. Is it possible to dim the moving heads (or any DMX controllable lights) somehow? I've seen it done many times but never in a situation to be able to ask someone how it is done.
Was it difficult (or did it take a long time) to program that show?
There is no dimmer in this lamp. There is a shake effct... and the shutter only works if you have open gobo. If you have a gobo loaded and tries to strobe its only jumping betwen 2 diffrent gobos.. there is no rotation on the gobos. but.. i think its worth the price.. 250 Euro..
My tipp is that you shuld by the DVC100 Daslight it cost 120 euro and it brings light programing to another level... especial if you never jused lightprogramming befor..
oh and how do you mount them on to a light stand, looking at pictures i can see any brackets or slots for g-clamps, unless you used the handles either side?!?! ordering mine on tuesday, would be handy if i could mount them on my stands but if not i guess they will have to sit there!
Aaah, Sorry for the third comment in a row, but if they all came with a European Plug (Heads and Controller), did you just use travel plug converters for them? This should be my last one, I swear...;P
Hi... they came with IEC to european plug... I just cut the european type plug off and replaced it with an IEC (male).. hope that helps.. PS glad you enjoyed the video
Dont ever use travel plug converters. I cant remember exactly but when I ordered a light from germany it came with european plug and I rung a electrician who I know and he said not to use them because travel concerts dont have the third bit (the one that comes out of hte plug socket) to earth it which you need for this kind of equipment.
Fantastic Video! I'm guessing you purchased these from thomann, can I just ask, when you purchased the set did they come with UK plugs (Including the Transformer)? As well as manuals etc in English? Cheers :)
There is a blackout button on the controller... yes... but it does just that...blacksout the lights.. so they can either be on or off... there may be a way to do dimming but I haven't found it yet... sorry I can't be more help
Are the lights Accuspots? btw which controller did you use..i suggest add chauvet kinta(only $129), u can get couple of those, should make lot of difference with that.
The movers are the Stairville MV250H, similar to the Acme Spot Knights I think. Controller was the Stairville DMX Master I ... similar to the Chauvet DMX 50
great job! especially for your first attempt..i gotta ask..did you buy short dmx cables and plug the lights into each other and then the end lights into the lighting board or did u plug each light individually into the board?
porned programmed!

i'm using the stairivlle dmx master 1 too. my question is, if you used chaser with fixed timecode, or how did you realised this?
i want to buy two stairville mx 250 h too. but now i just need to know how to program them ;)
rkwfilm 3 years ago
Didn't use any timecode. The manual for the DMX master is ok if you need to learn how. Altho it took a while to program the scenes
