I wish speed racer could have been in this, he does have moves. a lot of the episodes he fights people. What about the gigantic wrench that they whack over sparkys head in every episode? Or one of his supers could have been the Mach 5, like She-Hulk's sunday driver. If they can put Phoenix Wright in MvC3 (which is awesome) then they can definately find a way to fit one of the most important and iconic characters into the next TvC. Thats all.

Geteor have posibilities to enter like anyone posible character in tatsunoko vs capcom, remember when polymar use his machines appear of anywhere and next of use it disappear, Geteor can use his mach 5, and remember, the height is not important, becuse G Lyghtan is giant, a mach 5 is so much more little than a G lyghtan. Mach 5 have any attacks, can fly (hyper), can use his saw, can crash with the oponent, can jump over the oponent, and like hyper can use his saw in more time.

I guess he should have been in the game, but a reason I'm sure about is licensing issues. Notice how all the new Tatsunoko characters in the game are from the same franchise as a character that's already in the game? Capcom had the license for that franchise, so they just put in another character from that franchise in.

Most likely licensing issues. They lost the genie which was disappointing. Joe joining made sense since Capcom's flagships of Street Fighter had 3 chars in it and Megaman now has 3 with Zero (4 if you count Frank West since the creator made both games).

Yatterman #2 was something I wouldn't have done and tried harder to get Speed Racer or keep the awesome genie. But oh well... you are right about the new chars in general hehe.

I would buy this game 3 times if Speed Racer becomes a playable character. After all, Speed is an accomplished martial artist, his special could be hitting his enemies with the Mach 5. Or trixie could drop in with the helicopter and help pull some kind of cool stunt.

you dont even need that explanation. Look at Captain Falcon in Smash Bros., hes in the exact boat as Go Mifune (Speed Racer) meaning theyre both from racing franchises and neither have stepped out thier vehicles and "fought". With that said, its more than possible.
