@assedup88 its unfortunate that people dont recognise the origins but as for the being copied part.. thats just musical tradition. there isnt a clear beginning to any music really, it all bleeds into each other and is built off the last thing. one of the great things, in my opinion, is that the collaboration and openness of the electronic music scene.

like i said , i agree people should recognise house and technos black origins but essentially it was the collaboration of everyone from the folks who designed the samplers, the 303s, 808s, club owners, radio djs, club goers etc.. i love the underground :) so many kinda of people can get along and have fun and DANCE!

@badmammal funny thing about the old hardware like 303's and 808's is that it was made as practice equipment for guitarists. the guitarists didn't like it, which is why there are so few of them. But Dj's loved it, and they made disco beats with samples and electronic baselines.

@ArcaneInquisitor totally. not to mention the fact that they were japanese products (roland) or american (emu). so the whole re-appropriation aspect of electronic music and its culture is just rad :D . i also like how over time we;ve gotten to love the rim shot , cowbell and/or clap from these products (which dont sound really natural at all) and now seek out an 808 rim instead of a real acoustic snare drum rim shot (same with bell and clap)
