I had a classic 'cheap trick surrender' moment with this song. I came home and my mom was (literally) playing this over and over...at high volume. I sat in the living room (my 80-watt receiver and TT in my bedroom) and waited a bit. When the song was over (after the third time), I heard my mom yelp! I don't know a better word. When she came out and saw me, she was slightly out of breath and proceeded to fix her hair. She was maybe 40 at the time. RIP mom.
Good old rock 'n' roll, the way it always should be! This should have been a much bigger hit in my honest opinion, especially as a follow-up to the brilliant 'Jane'. Sadly it wasn't :( . But still, it's an all-time classic album opener, and 'Freedom At Point Zero' is a great album in the midst of Grace Slick and Marty Balin's departure, making way for Mickie Thomas on the album.

Yeah I agree with you all the way. I pretty much love and have all of Jefferson Starships albums.
