@straightfromschool Thats great did u read the two beforevI removed them?.....I also wanted to say that If its too late to answer the questions, because I already went to a audition before and it was fake so I really do want this to be a chance I can live my dream.(I'll answer them anyway)thanks for replying:)
@leon975477 Hi Brian, I read all the comments on this video. It's really for yourselves to put into words what you like about acting - it's a great exercise.
My name, Is Madison. Not something very unique. Something you may hear or see quite a bit. My age is 11, but I'n less than a month I will be 12. I know, I am pretty young. But, acting is everything to me, I love this form on entreatment. I am from The USA, Maine to be a little more precise. My favorite actor, and or actress, well, I must say, there are many many great actors. But, I adore Shia LaBeaof. He is I'n many movies, Transfirmers, 1,2, and 3. He used to be I'n Even Stevens, ECT. He is v
P.S. Couldn't agree with you more on the "being famous" note. It is love of the art and commitment to it that will get you to where you want to go, and if where you want to go is straight to the recognition without doing the legwork, you're in for a serious wake-up call…
5. In ten years time I'll have finished acting school and be living in Copenhagen doing dramatic independent films. My goal is to one day take part in something - anything - written by Frank Darabont. I L-O-V-E his screenplays.
(and I realize I'm sounding a bit dramatic here, but let's face it - I'm an actress!), and I thought to myself: How can so much be said by so little? How can I feel this much over a white screen and some moving pictures? That one tiny moment decided my whole life for me, and I've been chasing that same feeling ever since. If only I could ever make someone feel the way Elijah Wood made me feel that one night 10 years ago - that is my dream.
4. Phew, this might take a while! I've known my entire life that I was going to be a performer of some sort, and probably from the age of 7 or 8 I knew that is was to be acting. Then I saw The Lord of the Rings at the movies when I was 11, and the feeling it left me with….there is just no words to describe it. That moment about five minutes in where Frodo stands up for the first time, looks up and smiles… It was like my whole world suddenly made sense (cont.)
3. I've never been much into theatre to be perfectly honest, very few plays have managed to move me in the way that so many movies have done… I was however extremely excited over Rent and the Lion King, both of which I have been fortunate enough to enjoy on Broadway. This being due to the theatricality of it all and the music more so than the acting or playwright, but that did not make it any less pleasurable (:
Alright, I'll have a go at that! (this might be a rather long post, I apologize in advance)
1. My name is Kate, I'm 21 and from Denmark.
2. My guess is this question goes to actresses as well - To pick just one would be next to impossible, but Michael Douglas, Johnny Depp (his performance in The Libertine blew my mind!) and Tilda Swinton are my favorites at the moment, but there are so, so many...

4) I want to become an extra/actress because I've always wanted to be able to stand up for myself, iv'e always wanted to gain that little more confidance, I want to meet and work with people, iv'e had no expreiance in it, but I have been on tv before, I wouldnt say i'd be amazing at acting but, iv'e never actually been filmed to do something, I do have a strong loud voice when it comes to doing what I need to do, so i'd love to give it ecleast one try! :)
Hey, I've only just joined this, as I forgot my password on my other account, and I have so many email adresses, that I cant find what my account was on! But, I am really interested in becoming and extra:) To me, they seem to be one of the most important part of movies, but I guess im quite confident, and I was trying to find a website, that you dont have to pay for, looking for extra/acting jobs:))

@xJezz Sorry to put you off! But it's true. You've got to really love acting. Famous actors are famous because they've got somewhere with their training and passion at educating themselves in the art of performance. That's what acting is about - perfecting your craft. It's nothing to do with fame.
@straightfromschool Oh I'm fully aware of that, but that's what I wish to achieve, and I'm not the only one, I believe I will make it big through my passion, I'm studying hard now and will continue to until I have made it, but I still wish to achieve fame through what I love and I just feel it's very derogatory to laugh at somebody's dreams... however unlikely they may seem to you.
@xJezz Maybe that wasn't the best phrasing - 'laughing at you' - but I think its perfectly ok to question why people believe they should be famous for something they haven't achieved yet. It's ok to want your achievements recognized, as long as it's something you deserve 'cos you worked hard for it. I don't mean you specifically of course, it's just a lot of people I speak to assume they'll make it 'big' when they don't even know if they're any good at their craft.
@straightfromschool I completely understand where you're coming from and it was just the way you put it that offended me, of course you're right that you need to earn and deserve fame and not just want fame for the sake of being famous.
2. Favorite actor... I don't think I have one. BUT! I do look up to many actors I guess. Especially new actors because I feel like "Wow, they did it!"
3. Hamlet! Mainly because it's one of the plays that I actually read in school. Also, I thought it was interesting and I related to Hamlet A LOT I felt like we had the same personality lol
4. Tired of my average-ness and acting is great!
5. A successful actor w/ a college degree in something.
4. Not all for fame but mostly to express myself and trying to prove that you don't have to rise as a professional from having professional elders and also because I guess I have the skills.

My favourite actors are Jim Carrey because of his versatility and sheer devotion.
One of my favourite plays is King Lear. I've gotten to love Shakespeare recently.

My favorite actress in Rachel McAdams. I love how she approaches her characters.
My favorite Musical would have to be the Little Mermaid. I think it's adorable, not to mention I'm a TOTAL Disney freak!
I want to be an actress because of the feeling I get from performing. It's for the feeling of nailing that audition or hearing the crowd roar your name. It's for the rush. Plus it is a lot of FUN!

1. Michael, 18, United States 2. Liam Neeson 3. Friday Knight Fever 4. I have a burning passion for being an actor, i could care less if i'm in Plays/Musicals i find them too boring and not cool. @AbiTheActress Hey Abigail, thanks for your comment! I am a fan of Sheridan Smith too, I managed to see her in Legally Blonde and she was hilarious. The film industry is very sexist and does not give many benefits to women who plan children (I mean, who can look after kids on their own when they're shooting for 24 hours!) but I admire that that's your plan and stay strong with everything you're doing with acting!
1) Abi, 18, North Lincolnshire (soon to be London) 2) Sheridan Smith- I think she's really funny with amazing comic timing but can also nail the emotional stuff and she's also from the same town as me (slightly bias I know). 3) WICKED!- I just love it! Love the story, love the songs, what's not to love? 4)Well when I did my very first acting job, when I was on set it just felt so natural and like that is where I should be and then when I saw the finished product I had a really (cont)
Brandon from US 14 Johnny Depp's characters are so interesting and they each have so much (sorry for the pun) deppth to them. I would really like his roles. The strange characters can be more interesting and fun than the "normal" ones. This isn't really a play but I love the Cirque Du Soliel shows. The performers act so well without even speaking. I want to be an actor because I like to portray different characters In ten years I would like to have done at least a couple small roles in film
1) I'm Lucia, I turn 16 in april, and I'm from Spain (I go to a british school since always).
2) I don't have a favourite actor, it usually varies, but right now I love Colin Firth and Nicholas Hoult.
3)My favourite play is Romeo & Juliet and it will always be.
4)My main reason for wanting to be an actress is that you can be so many different people and experience so many different things without them actually happening to you.
5)I have no idea, hopefullly having an acting career.
Hi, so I want to do a video response too but for now I'll just comment.
1. I'm Jenna, I'm 14, and I'm from the US.

Hello my name is Brandon Gamez and im from the U.S. I just turned 17 and obviously LOVE to act! My favorite actor is definetly Will Smith as I see a lot of myself in him, I'm Latin American. My favorite play would be Grease (I played Danny in my past high school production). I want to be a professional actor because I love to entertain and as any actor would tell you, acting just feels so right. It's my passion! In 10 years I see myself living my dream and starring with Will Smith in a movie.
4. When I am acting the world is good. I morph into character and am soooooo happy.
5. This is going to sound cheesy but I really just want to focus on the present. I don't want to worry about tomorrow, but I guess in 10 years I still hope to be acting and hopefully maybe be in some sort of big production.
4. When I act it makes me feel complete, I believe I have talent in Performing Arts.
5. I'm going to make a great attempt to make it as a Silver Screen Actor. I'm also a Musician, and I'd love to be on stage with a band but I feel as though I should be within Acting.

My name is Mark , I am 34, from Scotland, I am an acting coach. My favourite actors are Bill Macy, Ingrid Bergman and Charlize Theron. I work with actors because they are the most fascinating people on the planet. My favourite play is Oleanna or Fat Pig, and I also love Spring Awakening. I don't want to be an actor, I just want to help other people do it for the rest of their lives. I see myself teaching in a larger studio, with more students and directing and writing more.
@xRoisinDx Hey Roisin! Aladdin or Mother Goose don't really count as plays I'm afraid - check out some local theatre and see what plays are on. Seeing new theatre is so exciting :)
Sandy from the US, 17. As for plays, I like Rent and Spring Awakening. I guess I do see a lot "bad" plays, now that you mention it (next week, I'll be watching the Legally Blonde Musical :P blame my mom). The last really good drama I saw was "The Woman In Black" at a tiny theatre in my town. I love acting because the stage is the only place where I don't feel awkward and shy. I have no idea where I'll be in 10 years! Hopefully in New York with a reasonably successful career ?? :)
@ChaboTheWolfBaby7 I've seen Legally Blonde and it was a lot of fun! I love checking out fun musicals but seeing as many plays as possible, even if they're 'bad' still gives you an insight into various scripts, characters and different performances. I first saw Woman In Black when I was 14 and boy, that freaked me out. Seen it a few times since then and it still scares the hell out of me! :P
4 I love arts, expecially theatre. I love the fact that u can be whoever you want to, live completely different situations, epoch, emotions, and transmit a message, feeling, etc to people, besides any material thing u can get.
5 uff.. thats a real difficult question...mmm guess doing wut i love and being succesful at it, and being recognize for my work, better that people love my work <3
@straightfromschool Hello I'm Louise and I am 12 comming up 13 years old and I am in England. My all time favourite actor/actress in TV/Film is well (there are lots) it would be Will Smith, Morgan Freeman or Eddie Murphy. My fave musical is Grease or Chicago but who knows maybe by next month it will be different as I love lots of different things. I want to be an actor because it is something I enjoy and I feel less nervous on stage. In 10 years time hopefully I will be in a acting career. :)
And , btw. films are really bad here in Croatia and there are only few good series, so you want to become an actor in America, in Hollywood and be famous, but like I said before you are stuck in here. What would you do? :)
Hi Olivia, I got a question, and it would be great if you can reply me :)
Imagine yourself like this. You are stuck in country named Croatia which. You can go on acting classes and spend a lot of money just to learn few things, but you dont have anything out from it. Or you can try to go in acting academy, but you must have , or A LOT OF LUCK, or a lot of money (-.-) , and even there you cant become famous actor, or JUST actor.
Hello my name is Shane Earley. I was wondering do you need a degree to do acting such as TV, movies etc..? I ask because at the moment I live in Ireland and im studying multimedia and im not doing very well. Acting has always been my main dream. I am mainly influenced by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen who were acting as children. In school I got 100 points in my Leaving Certificate and 100 points which is rather low. So I just want to know do you need higher education to have an acting career.?
4. I want to be an actress because it's fun and for the adventures, that feeling that someone is looking up to you. Cause right now everyone is looking down on me. (And I wanna live in USA ofc <3)
5. I can see myself happy with my life, have lots of friends, be in a tv show, I don't care if it's not a hit show, it's just for fun.
Hi Olivia, My pleasure. I have subscribed to your site. There are other projects in the pipeline so you never know when I might need a English based casting director. All the best George
Hi Olivia, Great videos to help aspiring actors. I'll pass on the links to my students. I found your video after researching Acting Theory for my classes. I'm basically a filmmaker who has found himself teaching media for the past eight years, while making feature films in my sparetime. All the best George
4. I want to be a professional actor because i am really good at acting and have always been saying lines to myself and i want to say them in front of the camera and the theatre!
5. I see myself as a successful actor starring in many films and television programmes :D
@callumfromlondon I do really need to see Cherrybomb - took me a while to realise he was in it but now that I know it's a must! Loads of great stage schools (full time) but also a good amount of part time theatre classes too; Italia Conti, Arts Ed, Slyvia Young, Stagecoach. Those are the big ones, but there are lots of cheaper and closer theatre companies for youths in London.
I'd also like to add - writing in less that 500 characters is much harder than I originally thought. I hope my post made some sort of sense lol.
I really love your videos. There’s both something unique about your them, and you, that definitely keep me watching, and I look forward to watching more.
3. Rocky Horror Picture Show (the movie and on stage). Loved it since I was a kid. Great music, costumes, actors, sets and design.
4. I've always been moved by great film/television shows and the actors in them. Hopefully one day I could be in such a film. And acting has always been a dream that I want to pursue :)
5. Doing something productive, acting in some kind of television show or film and being happy with my career.
2. Dakota Fanning & Taylor Lautner & many many more!
3. I really liked The Boys Next Door & favorite musical is either Annie or Grease
4. It just feels right. i know that's prob not a good answer but somethin about it has drawn me 2 acting. the art of it is captivating and i know this is what i'm supposed to be doing with my life!
5. Successful. Extremely stable in my career. Out of my parents house and in my own hopefully about to be married & start a family.
4. Acting is something that is very fulfilling to me. I feel it's what I am meant to do. I love the stage, I love being able to take the form of different characters. Acting has no boundaries. Even talking about it fills me up with passion!
I've gotten bored with, but that's because I find something else I want to do. In acting,I can be anything for a set period of time. I can be a Superhero for 6 months and then be a waiter for 3 after that, then I can turn around again and be a time traveller or a pilot or a serial killer.Anything.There are no limits in acting.
5)10 years from now I will be 31 years old. Predicting my own future has never been easy. I see myself on a set, in front of a camera and I have forgotten my line.
1. My name is Skyler/ I'm a 21 year old male in the USA.
2. I can't give you one favorite actor due to the broad spectrum of characters each actor has portrayed, but I can give names of those I have been most inspired by. 1- Johnny Depp 2. Heath Ledger 3. Gary Oldman 4. Brad Pitt. There are of course many more, but again, the spectrum is too broad.
3. Last Five Years (Musical by Jason Robert Brown), Playwright Neil Simon
4. I want to be too many things to just chose one. Every job I've had
4. Oh gosh, so many reasons. I could probably ramble about this forever, but basically because nothing makes me happier and I love transforming into another person for a short while and taking something that someone created and bringing it to life.
5. I would like to see myself as a working actor and having a family at the same time. Hopefully this all happens but if not, I'd still like to do some acting on the side.
2. So many! But the main ones are Audrey Hepburn, James Stewart, Ryan Gosling, Zooey Deschanel, Meryl Streep, Rachel McAdams, Nicholas Hoult, Marlon Brando, etc.
2. This is so tough! I like the under rated actors though - generally the ones that perhaps aren't looked at enough, or given enough credit. The hidden talents. Harry Lloyd is one of those and a personal fave. Gemma Arterton is incredible.
3. Currently? Angels in America, both parts /Into the Woods/Neil Labute
4. There's something so fulfilling about acting that I haven't found anywhere else. I have always had such a strong passion for it...all I want to do is study it, learn more about it, master it (if that's even possible).
5. 10 years from now I would like to be a solid working actor in regional/tours/NYC theater (both straight and musical), film, and television.
1. Alice W-S (Do you remember me from the email I sent to you a few weeks ago?), 17, South London
2. Emma Thompson, Johnny Depp, Richard Griffiths, Julia Stiles, Tom Hanks
3. A Streetcar Named Desire - Tenessee Williams, Confusions - Alan Ayckbourne, The History Boys - Alan Bennett, Wicked, Billy Elliot (the musical), An Inspector Calls - J. B. Priestly
@aliceinwonderinc For me its curiosity about people. I find it amazing that there are people in the world whom I will never meet, but who are still out there living their lives like me. And I want to understand all of these different people, and the closest you can get to understanding a person is to pretend to be them and feel what they feel, which is basically acting. Also I just love the whole process, and whats better than getting paid for doing what you love?!
@aliceinwonderinc 5. Who knows? In an ideal world I'd basically be constantly acting - in film, tv and stage. But in reality I'll probably be working in an office or waitressing to get by and then getting little acting jobs here and there and working in amateur or unpaid stuff - as is the case for most professional actors. But I think thatd be okay as long as Id be acting Id be happy.
1. I'm Abby rose, 15, Chicago I love meryl streep and audrey hepburn and am very inspired by them!! Strangely enough apparently for someone my age, I like Shakespeare! I like the weight and emotion of his words. (Romeo and juliet is my favorite) I love rent, Mamma mia and legally blonde! I want to be an actor because I think it's so powerful to be able to completely become someone else and step out of your life and learn so much more about people and emotion. I'll be in Hollywood lovin it!
@emmaobrienofficial 4. Mainly I love bringing a character to life. I love a lot of other things about acting, pushing myself to see what kind of scenes/moods/character facets I can portray but for me it's mainly about the character, being them and being in their situation & acting that out
5. Eww I'll be 31! Hopefully continuing what I'm doing: acting & writing. I just want to do my two passions in life :)
Before I start with the questions, sorry about the typing when I replied back.
1.Priscilla,12,California
2.Jonny Depp
3.Beauty and the Beast Hollywood Studios(watched it a while ago)
4.I want to be an actor, because its my dream!!!I I always wanted to act on T.V since I began to watch it on the televison.
5. A famous actress,or college of course

Hope this was enjoyable (: Cheers!

I was gonna make a video response... but you said you'd laugh at "being famous" so I shan't...
xJezz 1 month ago
@xJezz Sorry to put you off! But it's true. You've got to really love acting. Famous actors are famous because they've got somewhere with their training and passion at educating themselves in the art of performance. That's what acting is about - perfecting your craft. It's nothing to do with fame.
straightfromschool 1 month ago
@straightfromschool Oh I'm fully aware of that, but that's what I wish to achieve, and I'm not the only one, I believe I will make it big through my passion, I'm studying hard now and will continue to until I have made it, but I still wish to achieve fame through what I love and I just feel it's very derogatory to laugh at somebody's dreams... however unlikely they may seem to you.
xJezz 1 month ago
@xJezz Maybe that wasn't the best phrasing - 'laughing at you' - but I think its perfectly ok to question why people believe they should be famous for something they haven't achieved yet. It's ok to want your achievements recognized, as long as it's something you deserve 'cos you worked hard for it. I don't mean you specifically of course, it's just a lot of people I speak to assume they'll make it 'big' when they don't even know if they're any good at their craft.
straightfromschool 1 month ago
@straightfromschool I completely understand where you're coming from and it was just the way you put it that offended me, of course you're right that you need to earn and deserve fame and not just want fame for the sake of being famous.

I want to be an actress because of the feeling I get from performing. It's for the feeling of nailing that audition or hearing the crowd roar your name. It's for the rush. Plus it is a lot of FUN!
I see myself being a successful well know actress with a loving family.

My favorite play would be Grease (I played Danny in my past high school production). I want to be a professional actor because I love to entertain and as any actor would tell you, acting just feels so right. It's my passion!

ChaboTheWolfBaby7 1 year ago
@ChaboTheWolfBaby7 I've seen Legally Blonde and it was a lot of fun! I love checking out fun musicals but seeing as many plays as possible, even if they're 'bad' still gives you an insight into various scripts, characters and different performances. I first saw Woman In Black when I was 14 and boy, that freaked me out. Seen it a few times since then and it still scares the hell out of me! :P

And , btw. films are really bad here in Croatia and there are only few good series, so you want to become an actor in America, in Hollywood and be famous, but like I said before you are stuck in here. What would you do? :)
xxSvenxx1 1 year ago
Hi Olivia, I got a question, and it would be great if you can reply me :)
Imagine yourself like this. You are stuck in country named Croatia which. You can go on acting classes and spend a lot of money just to learn few things, but you dont have anything out from it. Or you can try to go in acting academy, but you must have , or A LOT OF LUCK, or a lot of money (-.-) , and even there you cant become famous actor, or JUST actor.
xxSvenxx1 1 year ago
Hello my name is Shane Earley. I was wondering do you need a degree to do acting such as TV, movies etc..? I ask because at the moment I live in Ireland and im studying multimedia and im not doing very well. Acting has always been my main dream. I am mainly influenced by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen who were acting as children. In school I got 100 points in my Leaving Certificate and 100 points which is rather low. So I just want to know do you need higher education to have an acting career.?

@callumfromlondon I do really need to see Cherrybomb - took me a while to realise he was in it but now that I know it's a must! Loads of great stage schools (full time) but also a good amount of part time theatre classes too; Italia Conti, Arts Ed, Slyvia Young, Stagecoach. Those are the big ones, but there are lots of cheaper and closer theatre companies for youths in London.

Also I just love the whole process, and whats better than getting paid for doing what you love?!
aliceinwonderinc 1 year ago
@aliceinwonderinc 5. Who knows? In an ideal world I'd basically be constantly acting - in film, tv and stage. But in reality I'll probably be working in an office or waitressing to get by and then getting little acting jobs here and there and working in amateur or unpaid stuff - as is the case for most professional actors. But I think thatd be okay as long as Id be acting Id be happy.
