  • IT'S JUST A GAME

  • why not a movie about the real Kite ? >_<'

  • what is this anime called?

  • @sigurdaab It's actually a movie based off a game. It's called .Hack//G.U. Trilogy, and the game is called .Hack//G.U.

  • Thanks for uploading this scene without putting some song over the audio.

  • @Belsebub69 I frikking know right -_- Now I just need to find the avatar scene without a fight D:

  • he's just lucky he wasn't completely deleted hahaha

  • can anyone tell me where i can watch this in HD?

  • I swear, I started crying when I saw this. The flashback and everything. Game, and the anime are great. Shame it ended :/

  • I previously thought Haseo was pretty badass, what with his cool looking 3rd form, and slaughtering a bunch of PKs like nothing. Then Azure Kite just comes in and casually blocks all his strikes with one blade, and destroys his scythe with the same blade in one little motion.

For the record, Haseo was level 133 at the time, and Azure Kite pwned him back to level 1. Badass isn't cutting it for him.

  • I don't think that's exactly how it happens in the game.

  • shishishishi...silly haseo,kite ftw!

  • Data Drain ---->>>>>o''''' Bye Bye haseo Lv.1

  • For some reason Azure Kite's eyes are gold...? o_O

  • i should get these games shouldent i......in english

  • Azure Kite can't even break a sweat in blocking Haseo's attacks

  • Ma del gioco hack infection...???? bellissimo quel gioco infinito!!

  • This was my favorite part! :D

  • the terror of death can't beat azure kite because:

    1. he came from the first .hack series...

    2. his weapon, the empty skies, is too powerful than any other weapon...

    3. even though haseo became a PKK, Azure Kite has the twilight bracelet, letting him use Data Drain using his right hand.

  • @oOcrownclownOo Azure Kite is not from the first series. It is a completely original model and character simply based on a pre-existing character. Empty Skies is not the most powerful weapon either. Haseo also has access to variations of Data Drain that evolve whenever he advances a stage.

  • This is why u should never play virtual reality video games

  • @shimra451 true plus you gota feel sorry for the poor motherfucker that loged in at a bad moment

  • No, it's Azure Kite, one of three AI created by Aura to track down and eliminate the avatar manifestations (I forget the official term at the moment). Haseo mistakes Azure Kite for Tri-Edge, which was controlled by Ovan, due to the three pronged blades that Kite is using.

  • no azure kite just pursued ovan and evey time he was found at the place where someone died he just got blamed. another theory is azure kite killed random people because he sensed ovan was there and he was defective or incomplete thus he killed the first person he saw beliveing the were ovan not ovan was controlling azure kite

  • AIDA artifical intelligiant data anomally

  • Haseo got OWNED!!! XD

  • Comment removed

  • Not owned, PWNED!!!

  • i want to watch the hole movie or what ever this is i mean i have seen hoseo figh ovan and i have seen the avatar battle between "tri-edge"

(azure kite) and haseo i just now want to watch the whole thing

  • I wanna see a fight between Azure Flame Kite and the original Kite. That would be truly epic.

  • I love how Kite simply pwns Haseo. Although, in the games, Kite disintegrated Haseo's flick reaper scythe and and only deflected the sword.

  • @KiraTsukasa That's the beauty of this fight. Haseo is supposed to be the resident badass, and Azure Flame Kite just...

Stomps him into the dirt without trying. Haseo is the best in the system. Kite couldn't give a damn about the rules of the system, he's just there to protect it. And bam. Instant pwnage.

  • It's kinda hard to take Haseo seriously whenever he makes that face at 3:08 XD

  • I don't see how ,when it looks like he's about to EAT YOU.

  • it was released before... the game series anyway.

  • Aren't those his blades? BTW I finished reading //XXXX and yes the original Kite has most of Azure Kite's abilities at the end of the story...although I think that series should have been released before GU

  • so at the end of Kite story he pretty much fight like AZ. Kite? minus the floating and Empty Skys dual swords?

  • Actually he has something that resembles the Empty Skies. It's more like minus the floating and the stitches.

  • and minus the growling

  • Ja that too, though I seriously think they sholud meet face to face at least once. If not to be like 'WTF?!'

Y'know what I just went back to //XXXX and realized that Corbeink looks more like Ovan's avatar. Although in the game Corbenik looks like a giant lima bean. To make things more confusing I don't think Ovan even summons his avatar in G.U.+. What's up with that?

  • there should be a ps3 game that has all 3 G.U. games into one with alot of new stuff

  • Cool!!...Though I wonder how a game with ALL .Hack characters would do?

  • .hack//LINk has everyone lol.

  • Does it have the three Azure Knights and the originals in it?

  • Azure Knights, no, but it has Kite, Tsukasa, Subaru, and Haseo (so far)

  • Then it's missing some, although when I read some of it Kite has some of Azure Kite's abilities, and his blades, what's up with that?

  • well, strike me wrong, it just featured Zure Kite too :P

  • LINK seems to follow the continuity that the .hack//XXXX manga created. At the end of XXXX, Kite receives a blessing from Aura, and takes on Azure Kite's characteristics.

  • Oh...I get it...it probably would have been wierd for them to both be in the World at the same time anyway

  • Well, both Kite and Azure Kite are in LINK, but, yeah.

  • Both of them are in it?! REALLY?!

  • The Empty Skies?

  • words cannot describe this

  • whoa since when did kite become so hardcore,he was always so weak.

  • also needs subtitles

  • It does look better and a LOT more detailed but I have one small gripe why are Azure Kite's eyes yellow? I thought they were green or at least the same color as his hair...

  • it's the same, but better graphics....

    why?

  • Movie purposes

  • Movies always have better quality :3

    when it's animated

  • Makes it all the more interesting =D

    And shiny =D

  • this was my favorite scene on rthe first game but this movie's remake is so AWESOME! The only part that dissapoints me is the music isn't the same and he never took out the scythe.

  • Well in the game Azure Kite made it dissappear and in GU+ it wasn't there so maybe that's why it's not in the movie...Haseo never got a chance to use it in the fight to begin with

  • good point. but i liked the music on the other one better.

  • Tell me about, by the way I think I said this already but why is Azure Kite's eye yellow?

  • I think it's cause it makes him a look a bit more scary. I mean think about it, compare his eye now to his eye in the games. To me he looks better with his new yellow eye. But, that's just my opinion...

  • I respect your opnion but I like his green eyes more, I actually think the way his eyes wander in random directions is a bit more scary

like this one scene in the game where he appears and his eyes literally rolls around on the socket I thought it was going to fall out and blink at someone T.T

  • Actually, I just noticed this yesterday. In Haseo's second battle with Azure Kite, his eyes are green again. I wonder why they change his eyes from green in the games, to yellow in the movie's first fight, and then back to green in the second fight...

  • I guess they made a mistake.

  • Corrupte data is very unstable, random changes are to be expected.

  • There was a prototype of this before the game version and may have thought it would be better to leave it out like in the prototype version than the game version.

  • Oh. . . so his eyes were yellow in the prototype?

  • No, more like grey.

They might have thought it would have matched the light in the cathedral better.

I don't know Cyberconnect2 likes to change small details in .hack// that seem to really bother us =/

  • That's true, like this one gripe I have about //Roots ... Azure

    Kite's stitches are missing...and it's 0only in the anime...why?

  • It was a short series and were probably more focused for the game series coming out that they were with the prologue

Some series like to make some last minute adding at the end.

People do it all the time when the are able to step back and take a look it when its done

  • ...Maybe I'm getting this wrong but they didn't realize the stitches weren't there until after the fact?

  • It is a possibility to easily beleive and leave it at that, or they could have just said they wouldn't add it since the people who draw the characters would have a hard time drawing the stitches every time. They do that a lot in other anime where they would show high detailed characters when theres an intense moment then go back to low detail when they just fight. Its like having chibi in anime

  • I wouldn't have a problem with that...if they actually did that. However I didn't see the stitches at all not even in the close-ups or the fight scenes...Also(this is random)stitches on a character aren't complicated.I would have been happy with the standard crisscross lines like on most characters...Azure Kite's stitches are obvious next to being short and kinda creepy...but that's just me.

  • I know what you're saying, he does appear with stitches in some pictures, but not often. It may be that placing stitches on characters can get mix up (Maybe a ridiculous reason) and some people look for small details like where the stitches are. Some people complain like "Those aren't in the same place" or something. Its the same with his straps on his legs, they are in different places all the time.

  • Putting the stitches in the same place every single time would not only be tedious but sorta impossible...wouldn't it? ...For the sake of randomness how many times(aside from //Roots) do they not show up?

  • All the time, just different place every so often in the series or drawn pictures

  • Oh wow... I feel blind now, I never noticed the times they were missing until //Roots...

  • I meant, that they show the stitches lots of times but just sometimes in different places, just not .hack//roots. So you're not blind =D

  • -Phew- I was all worried...BTW why does Haseo have more hair in //Roots?

  • I was thinking that to, they made it all poofy

  • Funny 'cause Haseo has to be the accurate looking character...even so which version of him looks better to you, the //Roots look or the game look?

  • I say the game, but at times Haseo's hair does look the same at times in roots. Tho I've played G.U. over and over and didnt watch the anime but once.

  • Animation compared to games makes a lot of thihngs more puffy or the characters a little skinnier, hair in game graphics is harder to make look like the animation since animation is easier to make hair puffy. They can draw outlines of hair and shade in later than games having to make the graphics thin and move smoothly to look like hair easier.

  • That is true it is easier to make puffy hair move more freely in animation, while with 3D animation it's actually easier to outline it then fill in with realistic shading...and unless you have top-notch stuff its almost a chore to get the hair to flow realistically in games and 3D animation.

  • True, but would it look right if Haseo went after Ovan in puffy hair? =D

They might have aimed for a more realistic look instead though =/

  • If they had different artists...and on the topic of Ovan...his hair his kinda rough to look at...he's looks better in the game.

  • Yeah, thought I did mistaken him for Paul Mccartney one time in the game @.@

  • Wow... I never mistook him for someone else, but I did think his arm was a weapon...seriously all he had to do would be to get close enough and swing it K.O.!

  • I know, where did he even find it in the first place?

  • Maybe AIDA itself created it...I mean there's no real story to where the case came from, only the thing inside...there was something like that in another anime where this thing had kinda taken over a person's body and made a cover for itself...IDK...0.o;

  • Me neither, I mean, I know how AIDA was created but not the case. But AIDA is always trying to break free from the case, why would it case its self up on purpose.

Ovan probably just made it himself.

  • Probably, but how in the world did he do it?

  • I don't know

    Ebay? =D

  • Wow...I wish...and I found at least one screenshot where Azure Kite has stitches somewhere in //Roots...In the intro, I think they're just on his pants, but they're SOMEWHERE...I'm so odd I'm just not letting that go...

  • urm...the above comment was mine I accidentaly used a friend's username though...

  • Yeah I remember seeing that when I saw a picture of him on my PSP.

It bothered me as much you when I didn't see any lol

  • The funny part is that it's dark...do they want them to be invisible or what?

  • ...I just thought of something...why are his eyes a different color than the original Kite's anyway? Technically they should be blue!!!!!!! RAWR

  • i liked the way kites swords opened in the prototype.

  • What is this. Just wondering.

  • I loved this movie.

  • Oh wow!I cant wait to get Trilogy :D

  • bad ass plz get more man
