  • I think Kobe has more raw talent, they both have tremendous work ethic. I think Jordan had better in the game feel for how to work with his team mates, but Kobe still works well with his at times. Overall, I couldn't think one is better than the other.

  • @malinaojoel not very athletic as jordan, how old are you?

  • @mhoops no kobe will not be better than mj to everyone, you are a fool, you cannot predict the future, now stfu

  • only one difference... all KB is doing.... MJ invented.. simple as that!!!

  • that dunk at 1:44 is a beast of a dunk best dunk ever?

  • true story kobe is good but he is a bitter but in a good way i guess he studied the best and applied it, you'll be dumb not to.

  • well, bryant is one of the best players in the history. But MJ played against Ewing , Robinson , Shaq , Bird , Drexler , Erving and many many others legends.Bryant against Yao(>.>), Nash ,Allen. They are all very very good players but i think that in the MJ years there was much more and i mean it much more defense. My opinion . MJ best of all time / KB best in nowadays.

  • What's the Difference? Kobe looks like a shrimp at the release of his shot.

  • What's the difference, Do you wear Jordan's or do you wear Bryant's? Exactly.

  • @CannonEli JORDAN's is always well known

  • We all know Jordan was/is better... this vid is to show that Kobe is imitating Mike...people always say "I wanna be like Mike" well Kobe is more like mike than ANYBODY point blank period Mike takes it as a compliment!!!

  • michael jordan had a 2% impact on the world economy when he was playing. i think thats says it all. all the players today are about money. jordan had a true passion for the game and a will to win like nobody else. and with all the rule changes since jordan has played, jordan would have a field day in this league if he were in his prime. the NBA was alot rougher than this puzzy league. even with hand checkin being legal in those days he still got to the basket whenever he wanted. MJ ALL DAY!!!

  • same play same style............. but at a different timeline jordan is from mid 80's to late 90's and kobe is from late 90's till FOREVER LOL!!!!!!!!!!! yeah!!!!!! i,m a kobe fan i admit it LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow, this is dumb. i could easily post a video of kevin durant dunking, making incredible shots, lay-ups and, game winning shots and say that him and michael play alike. thumbs up if you think so too.

  • @thekingisaiah1

While that is theoretically true, Kobe and Jordan have extremely similar playstyle, the footwork and fadeaway you see Kobe do were all trade marks of MJ when he was winning his championships, the difference is MJ produced more with those moves in a more efficient manner

  • @Hawkhunter07 there are some limitations to kobe's game that hinders him from being in MJ's level of superiority as well, not just in stats and consistency

  • @psychomajoreflex

That is true, MJ was more competitive, more explosive, faster, quicker, stronger, jumped higher, bigger hands, better 1st step, better mid-range, better post-up game

  • The Difference

    Jordan : Original

    Bryant : Biter

  • MJ is thee greatest, I love KOBE but MJ could impose his will on you at any time and MJ lifted his game to another level in the post season like no other player.

  • from the fade away jump shot you can already tell

    kobe "copycat" bryant

  • I never understood how people can't see the fundamental difference between MJ and Kobe and that is that MJ is quite imply just much better athlete when you compare them at the same age. Kobe does everything as MJ skill wise, but he is just slower and less explosive. Thats why he can't create as quality and efficent shots for himself and therefore his FG% is lower. Where MJ freed himself for easy shot Kobe has to take tough fadeaway. MJ also spend much more energy on defense..

  • @HymanKaplan just look at the crossovers and ball handling skill alone. while kobe takes a lot of crossovers, spin moves and many dribbles (at least 10-12) just to get to the basket, MJ uses very minimal dribbles (1-3 at best) to get to the basket, the rest is all about creating shots. MJ was very agile and explosive. He is also very strong as well. When he explodes baseline, MJ uses only one spin move, or one to two post up dribbles, and that is an automatic basket for MJ. it not even close

  • @HymanKaplan cont'd his fakes and his footwork is the key to his quickness as well combined with strength and agility he has no weakness to his game. somehow when i watch kobe take 'tough' jumpers (mostly threes for good measure) which are a common highlight on youtube, he takes a whole bunch of fakes and pivot foots, thus hinders his shot, while MJ uses just one cross, one fake, or one step moves and his jumper is automatic. combined with MJ's big hands, he can also create shots with one hand!

  • @psychomajoreflex I couldn't agree more!

  • @HymanKaplan you should also look at the way he works off the ball to create shots for himself or for his teammates, that explains to people the reason why he is commonly 'open' and the reasons why he can avoid double teams and traps easily than kobe. i bet if he played in this era, with the no-handchecking and an open lane to the basket, he would average at least 50ppg with at least 60% shooting, and over 7+ assists. from what I see, he takes the open lane seriously than kobe does, & lebron too

  • @psychomajoreflex I could see him go for 40+ ppg on 60% but 50 ppg sounds little too much. He would have to ball hog like crazy..it would depend on how good/bad team he plays..He would definitely be more effective in today's league, especially when he was young and athletic (1987-91), since the rules are designed for quick ball handers and penetrators..

  • @HymanKaplan yea true, but you have got to see that today's rules opens up the lane for anyone in the NBA to drive and dunk or layup, which MJ takes seriously. and if and only if he decides to ballhog, assuming that the time he plays he plays with the same team that the bulls had from '85-'91 i'd say he could potentially average 50+ per game if not 60+. judging by how the current centers' position lack of production on the boards today, i'd say MJ would have average 7+ rebs

  • @psychomajoreflex But you have to also take into perspective the slower pace in today's NBA compared to the 80's....Although the Bulls in the 80's played always the slowest pace in the league. If MJ played on some of those crazy high octane Denver teams back in the days he would have probably averaged 50 ppg anyway :-)

  • @HymanKaplan yeah i agree!

  • Kobe under huge expectation is the closest to the dominance of Michael Jordan play on the court. The league, in fact the world, was in need of another great athlete. So, any players that seem capable of filling MJs shoes was compare to his greatness. Remember Harold Miner with the bald look. Kobe more so than anyone was compared to Jordan because he was a monster to play against. Kobe couldn't be guarded. 82 point in one game, 63 point in three quarter in another game.

  • Great videos...Both Jordan and Kobe are great player...However people need to stop comparing the two... Jordan set the standard as the greatest basketball player and athlete of all time. His skills and will power to win and improve can't be match by ANY athlete in all of sports. Every since Kobe came into the NBA right out of high school, unfortunately, was question is he the next MJ. So was Tracy McGrady and Vince Carter. All was skill and excited players to watch right.

  • 1:01 Kobe's head by the rim?

  • WHOEVER CREATED THIS VIDEO... DAMN IT'S AMAZZZZZZZZZZING.

  • mj is the greatest player of all-time.. kobe is just another hall of fame-r and the greatest player of "our" time..

  • Kobe>

  • Phil Jackson said Kobe is more skilled then Jordan was. You can't really compare them though because they played at different times. If MJ Played today he would not be the same as he was back then. Player are bigger and defense is better now. So Jordan would Kobe, Lebron and Jordan would be right there together.

  • @MrEulistolliver how is defense better? how is kobe more 'skilled' than MJ?

  • Sigh. All these "Kobe copycat" comments lol. Appreciate that he brings not only Jordans, but other older legends smooth moves to the game today. Which you see from who else? Lebron? Wade? Rose? Lol.

Days of beautiful footwork is gone, now it's the point guard era. Involving mostly speed. Yet you guys fail to realize it and keep hating. Yes, Kobe is a damned good copy cat, but when he retires...fans of the NBA will be hungry to see another modern day copy cat. 'Cause Lebron sure isn't it.

  • The difference between them two?

One did it when the NBA was a man's league, and the other one is

doing it it when games outcomes are decided by NBA head office

by tampering the game's rules so talented but players can increase TV ratings and merchandising revenues.

MJ actually play to win,Kobe plays to be perceived as a winner.

    That's the difference.

  • that's the dumbest video ever. even saying his name in the same sentence.

No one can be compared with MJ

  • Ofc that MJ is better. Even Kobe said that. But Kobe is the 2nd best EVER

  • no matter what some of these kids nowa days never grew up watchin jordan u cant say that kobe is better than jordan because even in one of kobes interviews, kobe says that jordan is the greatest that ever played and also kobes dunks are not as good as jordans.Jordan played with the greatest players ever like Dr.jay, larry bird, dominique wilkins, magic johnson, patrick ewing, carl malone, clyde drexler, charles barkley, and tha tallest center Manute bol, etc.so stop these unmatched comparisons MJ FOREVER!

  • kobe is fucking bitch

  • song nice :D

  • okay one thing....NO ONE CAN EVER COMPARE TO JORDAN!!!.....look at the players back then that jordan faced....and look at the ppl today tht kobe faces... kobe wouldnt last on the court back then and Jordan would sht on the players today....soo u cant compare ne one to jordan

  • Top 10 player vs a top 3 player (Magic, Bird are arguably up there).

  • determination sets MJ from Kobe...MJ never lets the bulls but kobe let can the lakers lose

  • mj is better... old argument...

  • bottom line i believe that MJ and kobe are talent wise the same. they both do similar moves and they both have multiple rings. And for al those ppl that say that kobe copied jordans moves, jordan said himself that he took moves from watchin magic johnson and larry bird and who in the nba truly has their own way to play everyone got their moves from some1 else. the only thing jordan truly has over kobe is popularity

  • @GotPurp90 MJ and kobe are talent wise the same - i beg to disagree.Jordan is far more talented than Jordan...and eventhough MJ said that he took moves from Magic and Larry, admit...MJ reinvented the moves so that it wont look exactly ythe same,he put his own style on his moves..unlike KOBE who is an exact kopycat!

  • @24jhunory yea jordan is far more talented than jordan lol fail... and if my memory serves me correctly i dnt think kobe copied 81 pts from jordan... real talk they were both assasigns on the court and u cant stop em, jus dnt make it seem like kobe is garbage compared to mike, they on the same level

  • @GotPurp90 KOBE IS GARBAGE COMPARED TO MJ>>>>> FACT!

  • @wornoutshoes11 ok so u 1 of those ppl that jus say some1 is garbage and dnt present any facts... yea ur opinion doesnt count here sorry buddy

  • @GotPurp90 u know what bro... if someone copies someone and then brags that they are better than the one they copied what do u do?...."u dismiss them at once"! that simple! they are not worth the time! and kobe is a damn good copycat isn't he? the fans do the bragging for him and what's annoying is that he is loving it in secrecy! should i rest my case? i think i do, have a good day...

    NO ONE BEATS AN ORIGINAL!

  • @wornoutshoes11 he dropped 55 on jordan last time they played and i think they won sooo thats a fail lol

  • @GotPurp90 he dropped 55 on a 40 yr old MJ LOL... wait till kobe reaches 40 dude and see what can he do? maybe evrything would be a highlight film coz its gonna be in slow motion! LOL

  • @wornoutshoes11 doesnt matter jordan stepped on the court and he knew the risks. kobe not that dumb to stay waaaaaaay past his prime. kobe gon retire after this season "if there is 1" or next 1 he jus want that last ring

  • @GotPurp90 no matter what kobe does or achieves before he retires... HE'S NEVER GONNA BE LIKE MIKE! he's even never gonna be top 5 LOL... FACT!

  • @wornoutshoes11 lol u must b high to think that kobe aint gon b top 5 of all time. he already the best Laker to eva play and if u look at all of our legends thats sayin sumthin. So i wanna no wat top 5 u thinkin bout if u take out Magic and Wilt and Kareem? Plz tell me i wanna hear this

  • @GotPurp90 lol dumbass jordan was 40 lmao every 1 know jordan better ya on some serious drugs if u dont know that

  • @heiltecn9ne well think bout this how long did it take jordan to win his first ring.... like 6 7 years it took kobe 3 so stfu an do ya research instead of jus goin off wat ppl say bitch ass muthafukka

  • @GotPurp90 lolol do my research? been a bulls fan and mj fan my whole life not to metion jordan coulda won2 or 3 more rings if he wanted to..kobe couldnt retire n then win a few more... lol dumb ass kobe will never be jordan do your research before u make stupid statement like kobe in the same league as jordan

  • @heiltecn9ne ok u jus made urself look like a ass. Jordan "could" Shoulda Woulda... nothing u jus said had any facts in it... how bout this one "If" len bias wouldnt have died Jordan wouldnt have ever been as big as he is now. like i said do ur fukkin research b4 u open ur retarded ass mouth dismissed

  • @GotPurp90 i got a fact for you more ring? jordan bahahhahaahah n lakers r to old now so kobe gonna sit down

  • @heiltecn9ne also cant measure a players talent by how many rings they have... if that was the case Bill Russel and Robert Horry would b the top 2 players to ever play lol so once again Fail!!!

  • @GotPurp90 yeh i fail but ur the autistic kid sayin kobe is as good or better then jordan lmao...wutever helps u sleep at night

  • @heiltecn9ne autistic lol go shoot yaself

  • @GotPurp90 haha u liked it

  • @GotPurp90 same level? I LOL at u

  • its not about who has more rings, never has been bc then where is bill russell? MJ just is the best, when kobe wins defensive player of the year and NBA MVP in the SAME year he can talk to MJ

  • @zzhoopsfanzz you cant put russell into it man he was obviously the best on the team but he had a team man it was like if jordan kobe and shaq were on a team or something crazy his team was rated the best defensive team ever neither kobe nor jordan had the best team just the best player on it which is why they are considered so great

  • @checkspender thats why i said MJ is the best ever? my only point in bringing up russell is that ppl say that when kobe wins number 6 he can be in MJ's category..no he cant its not ab the rings in that situation, no matter how many kobe wins MJ will be better..MJ did not have as good a team as ppl think..HE made them great and made his teammates better..kobe wouldve bitched out with those same bulls team like he did in LA before he started winning again

  • Comment removed

  • @zzhoopsfanzz Amen dude.. Kobe cud win 10 rings with help 4rm his all star cast.. All MJ did was send wud-be average players to the HOF, thats the difference.. MJ not only was great himself, he made his teammates great also.. (Plus he didnt rely on Shaq to win more then half his rings LMAO) Kobe - the mirage... MJ - the G.O.A.T

  • @citykeyrhidah wtf now i kno mjs better but COME ON mj had pippen and rodman and pippen was better than pau. plus without kobe shaq would not of won 1 of those ring.

  • @citykeyrhidah

MJ had pippen and rodman how are you saying their not great. jordanless bulls led by pippen won over 55 games and made it the the easter conference finals to a game 7, MJ had great players and great role players...

  • Jordan made Luc Longley a starting center.

Kobe had Shaq...bitched and tanked alone, then loved LA again with Gasol

    Jordan+Shaq or Gasol+ 10 guys with bulls jerseys= 8 chmps in 10 years minimum

  • @algarop i literally couldnt agree more with everything you said

  • @algarop MJ is undeniably the best of all time kobe is the best right now in the game, you cant really punish a guy like kobe for playin with a great player like shaq kobe was even dominant with shaq he was still a top 4 or 5 player in the league and 9times out of 10 kobe had the ball in his hands late when it counted. As for pau they both revived each others careers in a way pau was one time all star on a bad memphis team and him comin to LA to play with kobe made him a household name

  • 3:15 was way too ridiculous.

  • KO "wanna" BE (like mike) BRYANT...HAHAHA

  • @superpanbolero every good player in the NBA studied MJ, so because Kobe does everything Michael does and more hes a wanna be, MJ started ev erything thats y ppl go crazy about him being the best but Kobe is a better overall player now.

  • @TooSliik1 HAHAHA...ARE YOU JOKIN...

  • @TooSliik1 : my opinion is that jordan is better than kobe...but my problem with kobe is not that he "copied" jordans moves, it's that he copied his mannerisms, that's what makes kobe a wanna be....kobe tries too hard to be like mike.

  • @imsljr420 ahahaha Kobe copies Mike? ur saying that cuz they both were the best players in their era... and their games are simliar cuz theyre SG's and if KObe came before Jordan you all would say KObe is the best of all time. but in all reality Jordan is the best of all time. and will be unless KObe steps his game up these last 3or 4 yrs.

  • @KobeizthatruMVP24 : if you read my post more careful you would see that i said i don't care if he copied his style, my problem is he copied his manners the way he acts...the fist pump after a game winner, jumping up & down after winning the championship, saying "he can't guard me"....you know for a fact kobe only did those thing cuz jordan did it.....& depending on the amount of success they had if jordan came 2nd but still had more success then jordan would still be consider better.

  • @imsljr420 ok no one can guard kobe... and jumping up and down after winning a championship normal? hahah and a fist pump after a game winner is just as normal..

  • @imsljr420 great minds think alike... why not.... great athlete think and do alike lol

  • @imsljr420 kobe has addressed that issue and is humble about your supposed to watch film to make yourself better and if you dont then your not using history as a teacher its called being a student this is why it shouldnt be compared its apples and oranges only time they did was when kobe was just beginning and jordan was nearly done and kobe was beating him

  • @checkspender : there's a difference between coping his game & coping his mannerism....there's no need for kobe to try and act like jordan....it's ok if plays like him.

  • @TooSliik1 Kobe is the better overall player?? But cant shoot over 47 percent once in his career...You must be crazy to make a statement like that..

    Jordan owns kobe...

Jordan career in the NBA finals 33ppg on 48 percent shooting

Kobe career in the NBA finals 25 ppg on 41 percent shooting

Jordan dropped 51 in this era ave 38...Just imagine what he would do in his prime in this era...Lets be real..

  • What a load of garbage.

Kobe shot WORSE then MJ in FG %, MJ has had a 50% fg and had 54% at one point. MJ dominated in a Stronger league (80's and 90's), while Kobe benefited from the Rule Change.

Don't believe me, look at his states Pre-Before the Rule change to Post, his Stats shot up.

MJ never laid an egg in the playoffs or finals, first 3 rings, Kobe was not the Main guy, Shaq was, all 6 Bulls rings MJ was THE guy. I could go on, but it's pointless, MJ>>>>Kobe. Kids These days.

  • Jordan's FG% is 49.7%, slightly lower than 50%...

  • @mariomarcano

49.7% is 50%, if your round it off, are you kidding me here?

He would still be dropping more consistently then Kobe. Not to mention Kobe is the NBA History Worse 50 pt scorer in league history! This means he's a Volume Shooter, not an efficient shooter.

The only MJ that Kobe would have a chance against is 2001-03 Jordan, 80's, 90's MJ would mop up any version of Kobe. Please stop the comparisons, it's not even close here.

  • Michael's career FG% of 49.7% means that he slightly missed more field goals than those that he made during his entire career, no matter how you want to look at it...

Kobe is the 3rd best 50-point scorer in league's history! He only trails Wilt and Michael... By the way, 100% Kobe is better than 100% Michael... who could surpass the 3-game streak barrier of 50-point games and make it to 4, Michael or Kobe?????????????????????????????????

  • @mariomarcano

Wait, what, you want to get that technical, 49.7% is still better then 45% mind you, not to mention Kobe has never shot 50% in his entire career! While Mike has reached 54%! Hell, MJ has had 6 seasons over 50%!

There are 13 games with 50+ pts by players with less then 50% to obtain them...Kobe owns 6 of those. He has the WORSE 40 pt game % ever...being 17-47.

Please don't compare MJ far greater consistency to Kobe, it's absolutely ridiculous.

  • its just way to close you can go with either one. I give the slight edge to Kobe because of his killer instinct...

  • I respect Kobe because he was doing it in the hand check era too.

But MJ..nah. There's no comaparison. Just jordan's steer alone would get ur knees locked. The Dark Knight. Thar's what i like to call him. And it's fitting since his last name is Jordan and all.

  • His Airness compared to the Black Mamba? come on it is a direct insult to his airness... the moves, the dunks, the air up there by the black mamba is all but copy cut... the original the real deal the real thing is MJ... 6 rings the numerous MVP, Defensive Player, 2x Slam Dunk Champ and All Star Awards? the leadership? match it then we'll talk about comparison... hey!!! in and out of the hardcourt MJ is incomparable with Kobe... call all the wise men and great leaders and argue now!!!

  • Mj was the first to do it..

    nobody can argue that

  • KOBE > MJ

  • @charliebell01

    in what way?

  • MJ can't do it like KB KB>MJ>LBJ

  • It looked like Jordan had way more hang time than kobe...

  • it's not the goal...it's to win the game.

  • @whiteboy2468 if you had michael jordan and another michael jordan and you put them in two different teams one in this era and one in the old era who would you say is better even though they are the same but the other one is just in a different situation think about it cause we can't even compare that unless if they both were to play a one on one thats what this is i don't know why people claim someone is better when they don't have prove good prove stats or awards don't count

  • the difference is michael has 2 more rings than kobe

  • MJ ranks no.1 in Player Efficiency Rating. No.1 in ppg. And MJ's FG%, eFG% are also the best among wing players who can score 25+ in recent 20 yrs.

MJ a better all around player than Kobe, he had better stamina at his prime which his 32ppg,8rebs,8asts and 37ppg seasons can prove it. MJ also jumper higher, run faster, better dunker...

  • kobe clearly copied jordan .. MJ the greatest player of all time!

  • @ompongawooh29 if you had michael jordan and another michael jordan and you put them in two different teams one in this era and one in the old era who would you say is better even though they are the same but the other one is just in a different situation think about it cause we can't even compare that unless if they both were to play a one on one thats what this is i don't know why people claim someone is better when they don't have prove good prove stats or awards don't count

  • because in MJ's career, he kept himself on top level in more than 10 seasons. But Kobe cant d that.

Even Kobe wants, he can't keep his ppg above 30, even 28 in 7 straight seasons.

As a player, MJ is better because he is a much stable player, and much better in playoffs.

as a leader, MJ is better, just ask phil

  • @ompongawooh29 we all copy someone at basketball. crossovers, shooting form, fades, dunks.

  • @SheetyWawk Not to the point KB does.

Who else in the NBA can you make a video like this comparing them MOVE FOR MOVE with Jordan? And have it look like MJ's old clips? huh?

NOBODY!!!! That's why ONLY KB gets these things said about him. Phil says it, Webber, as well as MANY other analysts. KB admits that he copies too.

Better to be an original than a copy.

  • @ompongawooh29 He doesn't copy, Kobe learns and improves the technique to his capability. For example, if you shoot the ball, I'll say your copying Jordan. If you attempt a layup, your copying Jordan. If you try a crossover, your copying Jordan. You know nothing about basketball. Just following the crowd, knowing what Kobe or Jordan has accomplished.

  • @JiveDG

    stupid example, ~_~"

  • here i'll show you the difference 6 - 4 = 2...so kobe has 2 more rings to win to be "AS" great

  • @jasirrah So is the difference between Bill Russell and Jordan 11-6 = 5, so Jordan needed 5 more titles to be 'AS' great?

  • @jasirrah

RING isn't enough to be as great as Jordan

  • Jordan is 5 times Nba MVP!..Kobe only got 1 NBA MVP!

  • @jasirrah

    No, Here's the difference

6 chips AS LEADER-1= 5 more rings to be "AS" great.

    Aint gonna happen.

  • @jasirrah so robert horry is better than jordan? yeah...i thought not.

  • Not in the top 20? Omg stop living in the past man.

    MJ

    Kobe

  • censored music ruins this video.

  • good video

  • great work, respect

  • NICE AS DUNK AT 1:43 AMAZING

  • You are the dumbest person to ever comment on youtube. You need to go find a rope, tie it around your neck, and tie the other end to the back of a train.

  • LBJ >> KB (Kwame Brown)

  • AHAHAH

  • @tianos24 lol nice...

  • @tianos24 lmfao you jus made my day

  • @tianos24 LBJ=LeBlow Job

  • i admit kobe and mj do a lot of the same things but mj is the orginal. but kobe is the best of his day right now

  • @joshua1813 yeah 2 years ago though

  • The difference is 3 rings. Booyah!

  • do you wanna know the diference? JORDAN is the ORIGINAL and kobi is a cheap copy

  • @lumipifeslb that is just stupid to say what does that even mean amma just call u a hater for saying that

  • manny,how old are you??..you sounded like a kid

  • u stupid faggot y dont u show kobe blocking mj and him blocking kobe oooohhhh wait mj never blocked kobe

that shows how much kobe is better then mj

  • Yeah a prime Kobe vs a 42 year old Jordan. Jordan had a horrible night shooting only 33%(9-27). Keep in mind that it was also just an All-Star game....an exhibition. They put put up good numbers against each other in thier primes.

Kobe blocking MJ doesn't mean Kobe is a superior. Nate Robinson also blocked Yao Ming and everybody gets their shots blocks at some point or another. Try checking their stats in the playoffs and Finals....the most meaningful games of all.

    Jordan > Kobe

  • is that all you could find?

is that what it all comes down to? who blocked who?

    pathetic

  • Jordan is waaayyyy better than Kobe... try the NBA finals versus the celtics blowing 2 20-point leads..one of them at home..and then losing by 40 in an elimination game... Jordan always went down with a battle when he lost.... how about blowing a 3-1 lead against the Suns and not wanting to shoot the ball at all in the second half against the leagues worst defense... Kobe still my boy though but he ain't no Jordan...

  • Championships do matter what tha fuck are you talkin about if you win championships it shows that they played the BEST with their teammaters and they made smart plays. Im a die hard bulls fans who went to playoff/finals games in the late 90s and there is no single player in the history of the league as clutch and more polished on both sides of the court than Jordan. Kobe is the best player today but isnt CLOSE when comparing him to Jordan.

  • The difference is Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all time. Kobe Bryant is the best player in the NBA right now with Lebron James a close 2nd. IMO if anyone says kobe is better they just dont know basketball. Lets judge by the most important category Championships MJ- 6/6 Kobe-3/5. Numbers dont lie.

  • what is the name of the song?

  • whats the difference

  • thx

  • And I will continue to enjoy Kobe's. But I won't just pass judgment on his career and say he's better because of my selfishness. And neither should you.

  • And to be completely honest, I enjoy watching Kobe Bryant Play. Also, I want there to be a player just as or more exciting than Michael Jordan. Why? Because I'm selfish probably. I'd hate to think that it's all downhill from here. That the NBA hit its peak and is on a straight roller coaster to hell. Everything about Jordan in the NBA was great. And I hope that someone honestly can do it again. Because it's not impossible, just improbable. I enjoyed watching Mike's entire career.

  • And whoever does try to compare one game to another, should just stop. The People who defend Jordan (correctly) as being better than Kobe bring up career stats or season long stats. They talk about his higher fg percentage. They talk about higher ppg in the regular season. Or how about increasing his ppg when going into the playoffs. Kobe's drops. Again, this isn't a bash on Kobe. But to be fair. It's a bash on Jordan when you say Kobe is better without any correct evidence.

  • Jordan's 69 point game included 18 rebounds(also his career high). It also had 1 block 4 steals and 6 assists. Kobe scored 81 points had 6 rebounds 2 assists 3 steals and 1 block. The difference is, no one tries to compare a single game of Jordans to a single game of Kobe's like that. Because it doesn't mean anything. 1 great game doesn't instantly solidify your career. It's consistency. So when people talk about Kobe's 81 point game as solid proof, it just makes no sense.

  • Being the youngest to 20,000 points is nice. But how about being the fastest. People tend to misuse "youngest" and think it's "fastest." Wilt Chamberlain scored 20,000 points in 499 games.(That's 40ppg). Jordan did it in 622 games.(That's 32ppg). Don't get me wrong, Kobe is a great player. I never said he wasn't. But most people try to compare 1 game of Jordan's to 1 game of Kobe's. Let's compare the games of 81 to Jordan's Career high of 69. If you must.

  • You know what? You can have your 1 game of 81 points as your proof. Because when it comes to just pure scoring. I'll take back to back 50 point games in the playoffs over 81 points in a regular season. (kobe didn't do that) I'll take 4 straight 40 point games in the finals (kobe's highest finals point total is 36). I'll take 8 games in the playoffs of scoring 50+ points. (kobe's only scored 50+ once, 50 vs the suns). I'll take Jordan's 33.4 ppg in the playoffs over Kobe's 24ppg

  • @Amir883 dude it does not matter still it depends on what situation you were in it's not like people are playing to show they can do this or that people are playing to win

  • @oliverrainman I don't think I even understand what you wrote, let alone your point.

  • If Jordan play in this era. He'd average 40-45 per game and Phil Jackson said that. The Western Conference has only 1 team that plays any D what-so-ever (the Spurs) Kobe doesn't have to face those Piston and Celtic defenses until the Finals (and guess what happens there). MJ, while not beating those teams early on, were pouring anywhere from 40-60 on them. And those Celtics of earlier (the last time Boston won the NBA title before 08) are better then the 08 Celtics.

  • @ClipCoug wow dude people from jordan's era grew up different than people from this era there are alot of skilled players today thant before but they don't really care about scoring 40 every night i mean we all know kobe can do that too but than everyone of you haters would just call that ball hogging so lets not go there cause people aren't playing for stats no more

  • @oliverrainman plenty of skilled players back in Jordan's day as well that didn't care about scoring 40 a night either. I don't even care if people ball-hog as long as they shoot a high % and / or crappy team-mates.

I can prove many things to why MJ is great.

  • @ClipCoug it wouldn't matter cause it's just you saying that not everybody feels the same way about it am sure anybody in the nba could score 40 but thats not the goal
