  • the whole thing is not about helping people, its about forcing us all to buy something that we dont want to buy. its all about money, not helping people.

  • Obamacare was signed on March 2010 with 59% of the people disapproving according to a CNN poll. The CBO scored Obamacare on six years of coverage for 10 years of taxes, which is how the CBO showed the bill to be deficit neutral . It’s unconstitutional mandating all citizens to purchase health care. Even Pelosi said, “We have to pass the bill, so you can find out what is in it.” watch?v=KoE1R-xH5To It’s also meant to take over industry watch?v=p-bY92mcOdk

He took over the automobile, mortgage, banking, and health care industries via legislation and regulation. Govt is expected to own 70% up from 19% in 2008.

  • Half the videos about free staters are of them getting their asses kicked. Their response is consistent: "Sir, that's my camera you're breaking;" Sir, You're assaulting me;" "Sir, you're trespassing;" "Sir, your dick is in my anus...." They sound like the momma's boy in junior high who was always getting his underpants stolen.

  • When Tactikalguy1 sues, nobody fucking laughs. When the people he has helped sue, nobody laughs. I've spoken with Tactikalguy1. He he offered to help Dave Ridley, and DR turned him down. Why? Because, as DR admits, he scoffs at attempts to actually use the constitution as it was intended to be used, as a defense against government.

  • The reason FreeStaters are losing their interest is because

THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING IS FAILING

Either search "Pastor Sanderson." "Search Tactikalguy1." Or go back to watching American Idol or whatever phony-ass zeroes do in the snow. People are sick of watching you people martyr yourselves. It ain't heroic to sit in a cage, you morons.

  • LOL this is too much

  • Once again, ridley hits it out of the park! Good job

  • Ridley says that the wondrous phenomenon we're experiencing when 10s of millions of hard working adults and their children don't have access to affordable health care resulting in the deaths of some 40,000 of these people every year while ceo's and executives in the health care industry stuff their foreign bank accounts with billions to evade taxes and fly around int their private jets eating from gold plated silverware is something that can be characterized as "relative freedom."

    .

    Yeah.

  • @fczwartek

The existing system is completely unfair, unscrupulous, unethical, and anti-free market.

The reason people can't afford health care is because it is too expensive. The reason why it is too expensive is due to many reasons.

    watch?v=JYC2DJWU41s

Government can't solve these problems. In fact, they are responsible for much of the cost as it is now.

If you're serious about reducing the cost of health care, then the first thing you'd want to do is break the stranglehold of the AMA.

  • @somecomputergeek

Gvmnts can and have solved the problem in pretty much all the countries in the industrialized world ... except for us. The rest of the industrialized world recognizes that access to affordable health care is a basic human right and not just a privilege for those who can afford it.

    .

Meanwhile we're too busy worrying about the "right" of billionaires to gouge even more profit out of the blood, sweat and tears of the middle and working classes.

    .

  • @fczwartek

Health care is one of, if not THE most heavily regulated industry in the US.

There are lots of other countries that have socialized health care. Michael Moore's movie "Sicko" was very good at comparing the American system with other health care systems. Obviously, the American system is quite deficient in many ways. It is bloated, inefficient, corrupt, and cruel. Greed is a serious problem in our system, especially when that greed is backed up by violent power.

  • @somecomputergeek

How is gvmnt regulating the health insurance industry? What "regulations" are you referring to? The ones that enabled Dollar Bill McGuire to rake in billions as the ceo of united health group?

    .

Are these regulations similar to those that let Enron manipulate the energy "crisis" in california 10 years ago.. or the regulations that allowed the banking industry to issue millions of fraudulent mortgages? (i.e. the exact opposite of public oversight or gvmnt regulation.)

    ,

  • @fczwartek

What "regulations" am I referring to? A massive number, but don't take my word for it. Go to regulations. gov yourself and do a search. Let me know how many results come up.

Many people are rich BECAUSE OF the regulations, not in spite of them. Any time you create a regulation, it hurts some people and helps others. Why do you think so many in the health industry spend so much in Washington?

  • @somecomputergeek

The health insurance industry is one of the biggest and richest lobbyists in Washington. They buy lawmakers and even have their own lawyers write the laws that are supposedly meant to "regulate" their industry.

    .

But of course pubic oversight and actual regulation is the last thing they want. So a lot of what you refer to as regulations is really just the exact opposite of that.

    .

Take Obamacare for as Exhibit A of an anti-regulation regulation written by industry lawyers.

  • @fczwartek

Exactly. You're spot-on with the industry, lobbyists, and Obamacare.

I agree with you about WHY regulations don't work in the US - the people you want to regulate pretty much own the regulatory bodies. Why do you think that it still can work, and what do you think can be done about it?

Regulation is one thing - I have no problem with it - there are many private regulatory bodies that work fine. The problem I have is with force. Using force to regulate health makes no sense to me.

  • "Relative freedom" the libertarian definition: A situation that occurs in the richest most productive country the world has ever known where 10s of millions of people (including 10 million children) are denied access to affordable health care by the "free market" (another libertarian Orwellism that would be more accurately called the "extortionate plunder".)

    .

Ronald Raygun: unwavering pitchman for unaccountable totalitarian corporate power and ideological friend of libertarianism.

  • @fczwartek

I don't think there's a libertarian alive who thinks the current health care system is good. Ron Paul is actually a doctor.

The problem with the free market is that it doesn't exist. As soon as you demand something under the threat of "law" (aka "violence"), there is no free market. Health care in this country is extremely expensive, not because of the "free market", but because regulation, the AMA, and "blank check" entitlement programs artificially increase costs.

  • @somecomputergeek

Right ... if only we left everything to the non-existent mythical "free market" everything would be okay!

    .

Health insurance should be run like a utility ... it should be tightly regulated and its profits capped. And since access to affordable health care should be a right and not a privilege those people who can't afford it should be subsidized by the rest of us.

    .

It takes more than just platitudes about "freedom" and "liberty" to make a society functional.

  • @fczwartek

Leaving everything to the free market doesn't mean that "everything would be okay". The market is what it is - such is life. There are winners and losers. There is suffering and there are successes.

When you don't like something in society, there are many different ways to approach it, ALL OF WHICH are a part of the "free market" EXCEPT the use of force, and there are always unintended consequences when you "go for the gun" to get what you want.

  • @somecomputergeek

How is the use of force would somehow outside the parameters of your mythical "free market"? Have people evolved to such a state where the use of force has zero value (and is worthless and irrelevant)?

    .

If you can put a monetary value on it then why do you just assume it is outside the purview of the "free market"?

    .

Also how do you condemn people to a life of suffering without the use of force? Or does the mythical free market utilize only "legitimate" force?

  • @fczwartek

    You have a point.

I suppose that the government is part of the market, but I wouldn't call it the "free" market. It's not the only other part of the market that isn't free. For instance, when you are robbed, that's not the free market. Any time you engage in acts of violence, including criminal behavior, that's not the free market, either. Same thing when the Mob collects "protection" money.

Politicians are bought and sold, too.

  • Reagan screwed up the state of California. Then went on to screw up the rest of the country. He ushered in bigger government and let lose a culture of greed.

  • Ronald Regan was a psychopath. He talked the talk, but his actions were always opposite. Change? Bullshit, fascism and tyranny is all we got. The national debt started with Regan. And if the Republicans were in charge, we get the same health from the government. It is all just a stupid illusion to think there is a difference between Republicans and Democrats

  • Yeah! We don't want healthcare for everyone. Only those with cash deserve to live. We are the nation of "I got mine. Get yours." Besides, everyone has health care, at least everyone worth speaking of. Also, why should I have to pay for your fire and police protection? I can hire my own crews. If you can't afford it, too bad for you. But don't stop spending on defense. That's how I get rich, and though I am rich I don't have the trillions needed to invade countries. You pay for that.

  • @keithrockerboblewis

"I got mine" should be the libertarian motto.

    .

  • @keithrockerboblewis

Libertarianism is a cynical ideology masquerading as some kind of salt of the earth populism while in actuality it does nothing more than service, coddle and indulg the richest of the rich elite .. the top 1% who "own" the country and who have made their fortunes by plundering the wealth of the middle and working classes.

    .

  • @fczwartek

Statism is a cynical ideology masquerading as some kind of salt of the earth populism while in actuality it does nothing more than service, coddle and indulge the richest of the rich elite .. the top 1% who "own" the government and who have made their fortunes by plundering the wealth of the taxpayers.

  • @somecomputergeek

Ah yes ... the sincerest form of flattery!

  • @keithrockerboblewis or those people could just get a damn job instead of robbing the public treasury

  • Reagan talked a good game.

  • Nationol Health Care existed in Germany in the 1890's if not earlier if I remember, long before the rise of the Naz iParty.

Also, Ronald Reagan was a corporate whore, and is one of the people mainly responsible for the stae of our economy today. I myself consider him a traitor to the american people, if not to the human race.

  • When the Roosevelt administration passed Social Security, the people did not call it Roosevelt Security.

When the Johnson administration passed Medicare, the people did not call it Johnson Care.

Health care reform is right up there with Social Security and Medicare, and completes the circle of security for all Americans.

  • @catfishmudflap

Maybe you're being sarcastic but I don't feel secure that our corrupt and bankrupt govt is going to be able to pay for my social security or manage my health care. Govt is an organization where the worst in society bubble up to the top. I don't want these crooks managing anything on my behalf.

  • @limitedgovt999 Wut? I am not being sarcastic. Did you ever buy a postage stamp? The government runs the Post Office. How about the Fire Department? Do you think they may serve a useful purpose? They are the government too.

  • @catfishmudflap the Government has a purpose, especially in certain areas such as National Defense, but what we are facing today is largely government intrusion where it should not be IE: in my health-care.

The post office has been out-done in some areas by private firms such as FedEx and UPS. The fire department is a function of local government, where the citizens have much more control than the Federal Government, as are Police. They choose how those are run, not some guy 15k miles away.

  • @catfishmudflap

I think a lot of people confused the services that governments sometimes provide with the government itself. Even legal and law enforcement services were not always provided by the state. Many other institutions have provided such services, with varying degrees of success.

What sets the state apart from these other service providers is that, if you refuse to pay for or support the government, violence will be used against you - kind of like the mafia's "protection" service.

  • @catfishmudflap

Fire Department is local and paid by locals in my area. I would not trust Government as you put it to run it. Give me Volunteers and local citizens any day.

As to the post office, I would prefer to pay an outfit like FedEx over them any day. The post office is slow and quite often damages your mail in one form or another. I have allays had better service with FedEx than USPS. I bet FedEx is more efficient and too.

  • "When you see trading is done, not by consent, but by compulsion - when you see in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing - when you see money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors - when you see men get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws don't protect you against them, but protect them against you - when you see corruption rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice - you know that your society is doomed."

  • Republicans think, health care reform is President Obama’s evil socialist plot. Republicans think, President Obama is the black reincarnation of Joseph Stalin and that he is going to enslave all the white people.

  • @catfishmudflap That is incorrect. We think President Obama is going to enslave ALL people.

  • @PingOnThis Ha ha ha ... that is a gone one...

  • @catfishmudflap people that voted for obama think hes a saint and americas saviour lol. when you people going to realize politicians are crooks? it doesnt matter what label they use. they dont care about you. they only care about getting elected, which is why they say whatever to gain your votes & trust. then half you people worship that man as if hes the greatest human being to ever walk the face of the earth. you american liberals are as crazy as the conservatives that you blame for everthing.

  • @catfishmudflap

Are you saying the people are not currently enslaved to at least a partial extent?

  • @RidleyReport This is a rhetorical question, right? Slavery? No, not slavery. I am not a slave nor have I met anyone that is a slave.

  • @catfishmudflap

You pay taxes and work for table scraps of a very large pie correct?

  • @TankSwift That is not correct.

  • @catfishmudflap

No, you're not a slave. The government doesn't "own" you, they just take a percentage of everything your produce, and if you withhold it from them, they throw you in a cage that is famous for being a place where you will be beaten and raped.

You're only a PART-TIME slave, with all of the freedoms and benefits that your government thinks you should have.

  • @somecomputergeek Do you know what a slave is? Is it hyperbole? No. Slavery is not hyperbole slavery is real. I am sorry if you were beaten and raped.

  • @catfishmudflap

You're obviously not sorry for the people that are being beaten and raped in prison right now, mostly for non-violent drug-related "offenses", such as possessing forbidden flowers.

I was never beaten or raped in prison. However, that doesn't mean I'm not THREATENED with it. I'm forced to obey hundreds of thousands of laws I can't possibly know or understand, and ignorance of the law is no excuse. But there's only one REAL law - obey your masters, or else.

  • @catfishmudflap Your already a slave stupid ass. Wake up, get off your left vs right stupid mentality.

  • I think Reagan had other plans for this country, but a bullet from one Hinkley changed all that, and he got on board with the socialists.

Remember John Hinkleys brother had dinner with a Bush family member, just a few days before the shooting.

  • How the FUCK is Obamacare socialist? Mandating everyone buy health care from PRIVATE INSURERS is not socialism in the least bit. My mother's entire family lives under socialist health care systems in Denmark and Canada. When they walk into a hospital they walk into a government building. Obamacare isn't going to be that.

  • Funny how its been given the name "Health Care", when in reality it is clearly SICK CARE

  • Another mind polluted by talk radio. It is called Health Care.. You whiners must take to name calling for lack of intelligent discussion.

  • He set "the bull loose" deregulated the financial institutions which led to the corruption that brought us companies that are "too big to fail", trillion dollar bailouts for the richest of the richest. If it was a simple person with a small business, there is no bailout for them, they end up losing their home and healthcare and end up on the street.

There's nothing wrong with a country that has compassion for it's citizens health. It's bizarre America is the only modern country without it.

  • To all you who are cutting Reagan down.... don't forget who makes laws... Not the President, but Congress. I blame the Statists in both parties and I think Reagan was surprised at how many Statists were in the Republican party. To get Reagan to not veto their power grabs... they used the threat of Soviet domination to get him to back down... he didn't back down until they contracted his assassination and told him that if he didn't comply, next time he wouldn't live.

  • :40 holy shit

  • Awesome. Reagan was right on the money. and his grammar was good too~

  • @beefyoso yeah man...his speeches were very prophetic...my father thinks he was the devil though.

  • so they all make the same bullshit speeches to get in.

  • Reagan's rhetoric was indeed excellent, and I hope his legacy is not soiled by either losing the quality of his rhetoric, or the sadness of its failure to translate into reality in office.
