@jteccompany I have a windows pc, I use them all the time. I have never once had a fatal error. Back in elementary school when we only had mac's I had problems with them all the time. Might be the reason why I only use windows computers now.

This is very entertaining. I do have some problems with Macs, but have used them for years and they are the best, never get virises and my average mac lasts 5 years and the software is transferrable to the next computer. The average PC is what, 2 years? Thanks for the entertainment.
@gwarrenp I think the last upgrade I did for my PC was about 7 years ago, and I use it for gaming, so I'm not just letting it gather dust (I just don't have the funds for more muscle). I'm still running software on this that came out for Windows 95, so it's definitely transferrable. As for stability, I run my antivirus once a week and my antispyware when things get weird, and it gives me no trouble.
I have no interest in even trying a Mac. My PC does everything I need.

Everything? It can do 3D modeling, intense multitasking and intense gaming? I build computers, and I pretty much doubt "Everything" can be done in a Mac. Maybe for the casual user who says such things and has no idea what he or she is saying, but you ought to know, I've handled both computers, and Mac can't do everything. In my Art Institute, they don't use Macs for 3D modeling, or rendering, they use custom PCs.

I have 3D modeling software (solid form and realistic rendering), I do intense multitasking, audio, video and graphics, all accomplished successfully and quickly on Macs. Some 3D, rendering and video software allow several Macs to work in conjunction with each other. Who knows what the deciding factor was that motivated the company you work for to purchase a PC. It might have been price. The CPU model might have been designed 4 years ago which is typical of PCs costing less.
The only factor that bothers me is that you cannot upgrade a mac on your own unless you know which hardware is applicable for the Mac OSX, which is not really easy to find, nor cheap. Price is an important factor because some people cannot afford a Mac, despite how good you may think it is. PCs can be better than a Mac, the only issue is: People buy brand, and they know shit about computers. Whereas I built my own computer, and I had no problems since then.

Well i think its you who have no common sense. All pc's and when i say pc i do not mean windows i mean personal computer. All OS's will do what you want them to if you know how to use them. Yes some have flaws that others dont but nothing is perfect. All OS's have positives and negatives thats just the way it is. Your statement is not completely correct. Macs also have written instructions on the EPROM that is apart of the OS. When Microsoft tried to duplicate the process Apple sued and won the case. This helped to make Macs much more stable and consistent.
So not all PCs (personal computers) are exactly the same. My experience is that Macs work properly out of the box without spending an endless amount of time working on them continuously to get the thing to function.

Macs were used for design but today most high end design studios such as Pixar (co-founded by Steve Jobs) use Windows PCs with Azure.
Stats are stats, the fact is a PC worth $1000 is going to have alteast 50% better processing power, RAM, GPU etc. than an Apple of equivalent price. That leaves software which PC now excels in with design over Apple. PCs are better, in every way, there is no exception, and they're cheaper.

In the 80s and early 90s, Mac's were superior but as of the last 15 years PC's have almost matched in operation. IT does depend on the user, though. I'm not wacking PC users, it's more of their profession and how the computer itself is used.

yeah guys seriously its an overall computer problem.. i used pcs for years and switched to mac a while back. I've had to pull the battery on my inspiron many times, never on my powerbook g4 or macbook pro. however my powermac g4 did have hardware issues and would lock up. but.. I don't even wanna start on vista ;)

This parody was made back around 2001 or 2002 if I remember correctly, and the mac that was in use at the time was the OS9, which was a complete piece of shit that had every single problem that he's mentioning. I was attending West Chester University Of Pennsylvania at the time, and the music department of the university only used OS9 macs, which was a total fucking nightmare if you wanted to get your work done on time.
Not everyone has absolutely up to date technology, particularly insofar as the university is concerned. This parody may have been made earlier than I mentioned (2001/2002), but I had not encountered it before then. Nonetheless, this parody is 100% correct as far as the OS9 is concerned, the later versions got much better, but that was not the point of this parody.

@jteccompany I have a windows pc, I use them all the time. I have never once had a fatal error. Back in elementary school when we only had mac's I had problems with them all the time. Might be the reason why I only use windows computers now.

This is very entertaining. I do have some problems with Macs, but have used them for years and they are the best, never get virises and my average mac lasts 5 years and the software is transferrable to the next computer. The average PC is what, 2 years? Thanks for the entertainment.

@gwarrenp I think the last upgrade I did for my PC was about 7 years ago, and I use it for gaming, so I'm not just letting it gather dust (I just don't have the funds for more muscle). I'm still running software on this that came out for Windows 95, so it's definitely transferrable. As for stability, I run my antivirus once a week and my antispyware when things get weird, and it gives me no trouble.
I have no interest in even trying a Mac. My PC does everything I need.

I really like old gear its fun to see what will run and what wont run on them. Everything? It can do 3D modeling, intense multitasking and intense gaming? I build computers, and I pretty much doubt "Everything" can be done in a Mac. Maybe for the casual user who says such things and has no idea what he or she is saying, but you ought to know, I've handled both computers, and Mac can't do everything. In my Art Institute, they don't use Macs for 3D modeling, or rendering, they use custom PCs.

I have 3D modeling software (solid form and realistic rendering), I do intense multitasking, audio, video and graphics, all accomplished successfully and quickly on Macs. Some 3D, rendering and video software allow several Macs to work in conjunction with each other. Who knows what the deciding factor was that motivated the company you work for to purchase a PC. It might have been price. The CPU model might have been designed 4 years ago which is typical of PCs costing less.

The only factor that bothers me is that you cannot upgrade a mac on your own unless you know which hardware is applicable for the Mac OSX, which is not really easy to find, nor cheap. Price is an important factor because some people cannot afford a Mac, despite how good you may think it is. PCs can be better than a Mac, the only issue is: People buy brand, and they know shit about computers. Whereas I built my own computer, and I had no problems since then.
It's all speculation, really.

@TheseusTitan last time my PC crashed, and yes, all pc's have a crash log which is easy to find if you are stupid, was back in 2008, and it was my fault not the pc's, i was messing around with the system files and caused a fatal error on my own fault, since then my pc has never crashed, and FYI, saying your mac can play games without paying for Crossfire is a bunch of bullshit dude, and upgrading for free is another BS lie, the dollar sign doesn't always precede the numbers in all cultures.

anothing thing you forget to mention, you can't personally upgrade any macs, you buy them, they are completely sealed, if you open it, you lose all security coverage, when you upgrade a mac, you have to buy an entire new one, when if you know what you're doing you can make a PC yourself that is just as good as Alienware PC's which are still the number 1 Computers in the world, deal with it.
Macs cannot play games, without you having to pay 150$ every 2 months.

Your statement is not completely correct. Macs also have written instructions on the EPROM that is apart of the OS. When Microsoft tried to duplicate the process Apple sued and won the case. This helped to make Macs much more stable and consistent.
So not all PCs (personal computers) are exactly the same. My experience is that Macs work properly out of the box without spending an endless amount of time working on them continuously to get the thing to function.

Macs were used for design but today most high end design studios such as Pixar (co-founded by Steve Jobs) use Windows PCs with Azure.
Stats are stats, the fact is a PC worth $1000 is going to have alteast 50% better processing power, RAM, GPU etc. than an Apple of equivalent price. That leaves software which PC now excels in with design over Apple. PCs are better, in every way, there is no exception, and they're cheaper.

I've had to pull the battery on my inspiron many times, never on my powerbook g4 or macbook pro. however my powermac g4 did have hardware issues and would lock up. but.. Hey guess what you fucking moron in windows 9x when you click and drag it makes shortcuts instead of copying too, that was the way things were before we had so much disk space available. OSX doesn't do that, you deserve to be shot, besides what kind of a computer guy uses and iMac for anything other than a noevelty item, dumbass,

God I love this vid.. Having to work in an outdated editing studio at school with all the very late OS9 and early OS10 is just like he explains. Hell even my newer mac is like that some times, I swear the laptop is emotional.

i have tried pre osx... i had it for about 5 years (mac os 9 beta version) it did suck, but it wasn't as bad as he said

Nor it is Windows.
I had Windows running on my pc for 6 years and not a single big problem.
Because i know how to use it.
The first time i used a Mac i was like "HOWTHEHELLAREYOUSUPPOSEDTOREACHSETTINGS?

It's just that the casual user, who doesn't really know how Windows works, would find it more user friendly.
The Windows expert would find it very limitating and frustrating.

And i know it isn't THAT unfriendly to use.
But i don't find it so intuitive as they say.
Maybe it's even a little bit more friendly then Windows to use for someone who's unexperienced about both, still i think Windows isn't much harder to use, and it's WAY more complete, you simply can do more things with less effort with XP.

This parody was made back around 2001 or 2002 if I remember correctly, and the mac that was in use at the time was the OS9, which was a complete piece of shit that had every single problem that he's mentioning. I was attending West Chester University Of Pennsylvania at the time, and the music department of the university only used OS9 macs, which was a total fucking nightmare if you wanted to get your work done on time.

Not everyone has absolutely up to date technology, particularly insofar as the university is concerned. This parody may have been made earlier than I mentioned (2001/2002), but I had not encountered it before then. Nonetheless, this parody is 100% correct as far as the OS9 is concerned, the later versions got much better, but that was not the point of this parody.
