  • Good thing there was another dome in the second glass staircase… phew...

  • When you see Mr. Astor's face , you can imagine what is the feeling when you know that you will die.

  • the only thing thats different is that the lights burned out quicker..

  • @HomeTheaterTube And the audio remount with new SFX and color correction

  • @MichaelJeanBaker ohhh. lololol

  • John Jacob Astor IV had a really slow reaction time.

  • Does anyone look at this movie now and think...

Wow, that would be an AWESOME waterpark ride?

Like a waxed deck that slowly tilts and you fall into water?

    ... I'm sick, I know, but c'mon!

  • @stevensonbak i think many people thought about this and the idea itself would be funny! but i think would be not respectful for people who have lost their life in this tragedy, I think it's a tragedy to remember with respect, it would be immoral to create a theme park.

  • @stevensonbak They have big blow up slides that look like the Titanic sinking. They're pretty neat but what's next? A blow up slide that looks like the twin towers?

  • what is the dog that barks in the background 0:08

  • @straightsky ahahahah! isn't a dog! its the crank of the metal and wood splitted by the power of the water and the sinking! XDDD

  • @MichaelJeanBaker hhahhaha hahaaha okay I think it sounds like a dog -.-

  • BEST SCENE IN MOVIE AND BEST SONG FOREVER I LOVE THIS SONG SO BEAUTIFUL<3

  • @straightsky Do you know the name of the song? I've been looking everywhere it feels like but I can't find it! Please help me!

  • @HerArmsTwisted Titanic Soundtrack ~ The Sinking Sequence ~ As heard in the film song name i found this:D

  • the juxtaposition of the poor reaching this deck, the top deck, where they have never been, after struggling through the maze of decks below, and suddenly the water comes from above, i think it kind of in a way shows how even the most glorious of places could not escape the incoming fate, the tranquility of glory & time clock, the vulnerability of the glass and the undercurrent theme of class, been put down from something above you- i this case the water.

  • why did he cut it

  • it's not just that it's powerful......it really happened.

  • 0:11 ohh fuck the water it's so cold

  • How is there water coming from the dome?! If you look out the windows you can clearly see that these people are still above water!

  • Wow! This video is better than the other dome scenes here in YT. Two thumbs up.

  • Interesting how there's light behind the glass ceiling until the water rushes in.

  • i feel like this is alot more realistic thumbs up!!!!!!!!!

  • how music be calls with this piece of film just how water rushes in to ship

  • great scene but why dont the lights short circuit?

  • @brentybabes If you look at the dome while the water is rushing in, you can see the lights flickering/flashing/sparking. AKA short circuit.

  • @brentybabes Why don't you pick up a book and read about it, since it is actually documented that the crew stayed manning the generators to the bitter end.

  • @njdevil281 surely though anybody in that part of the ship would have died at that time. so who exactly has documented this. and its pretty obvious that when a room is submerged the light fittings will shortcircuit

  • fffsdog don't understand that so much screaming has happend in real! Like in a ship who capsized and stopped to sink it was alot of screaming peoples when the rescuers come beacouse the water was just freezy! And this was even a little more warmer than the water when the titanic sank! So it was not to much screaming! Specialy it is really cold to get water rushing on you! How can you not scream!?

  • I would have loved a part in this scene!

  • @fffsdog ... Why would you not scream? THOUSAND OF GALLONS OF FREEZING OCEN WATER AND HEAVY GLASS is collapsing on top of you, crushing you, pushing you under, why would you not scream? There is not too much screaming! This is perfect! When something like that happens you don't just stand there silently and let it drown you. You SCREAM and SHOUT and fight for survival. How can you say there is too much screaming?!

  • I loved the John Jacob Astor character (eventhough he wasn't a good husband to his first wife, but was okay to his second wife, Madeline), still he was a good character and watching his face in this scene, well, I felt for him. RIP JJ Astor and everyone else who sadly died.

  • @MichaelJeanBaker

You did good. A bit more relastic.

  • This is probably the most powerfull scene ever in film history.

  • @belgicasken so true! Can't stop watching it! it is even more powerfull than the disaster movies i have ever seen! (Not to be rude but it is cool to see this scene over and over aigan)

  • @belgicasken not only powerful but if u look at it, it makes it feel like ur there feelin dat frezzin water tryin 2 find way 2 survive knowin dat its gonna be hard 2 survive somethin so horrible as dis

  • @belgicasken It seems like you have not watched almost any films at all.

  • @LibertyWaxlips so you know a scene that is more "powerfull" ?

  • @belgicasken You mean 'powerful'? Yes I do. In fact I find this scene to be pretty bad in every perspective especially the music wise.

But for instance such movies as 'Dances with Wolves', 'Last of the mohicans' and 'Seven samurai' have pretty much way more powerful scenes and these are just from atop of my head.

  • @LibertyWaxlips you clearly have a love for masculine over the top films about men fighting men, this was man vs mother nature, and it really happened, not only that this out of all those films mentioned was not only the most successfully in commercial terms, but also, so much more in critical winning jointly with ben hur and lotr return of the king the single most oscars (11) and nominations (14) with all about eve.

  • @numba1danman You shouldn't judge the movies, you should judge 'powerful scenes' because that was what we were talking about. But as a movie as well I think this is nowhere near even the top 100 all time.

  • @LibertyWaxlips well thats an opinion and your entitled to it.

nut simply for how many people went to see this movie (one of the top 5 of all time) up with gone with the wind, jaws and the exorcist it has to be considered as one of the best of all time.

the film reinvigorated the genre of epics from which hadnt been seen since the golden age of hollywood, after titanic, studios took more risks with their films.

  • @LibertyWaxlips this scene was one of the most visually powerful in the film, as the ship was up until that point gently slipping beneath the waves, from here on is why cameron won the oscar, we had seen the beauty of the characters, the sunsets, the big sets, the beautiful decor, the audience had been hooked the the staircase many times, it was the opulent piece of the film, so quiet, so ornate and then it turned into hell, freezing water pouring in on the people attempting to survive.

  • @belgicasken i wouldnt go that far..

  • oohhh dios la piel se me enchinoo!!! esta geniall!!!! la amoo

  • sound effect at 0:13 was genius! really made this work for me, love it!

  • James Horner's song in this part (called A building panic) is so strong and for me is the strongest scene of the sinking. You see, this version may not be as easy to see what was happening but for sure is much more realistic, its the way it probably did happen.

  • Awsome Job!!!!

  • it would've sucked if they had to do re-shoots!!

  • Wow, the quality is gorgeous, though the screams seem different from the original?

  • What those people went through, I can't even imagine, We Will Never Forget Titantic. RIP you 1500 souls.

  • @mikeohoh7 dude you would fucking scream too if you knew you were gona die, and that water was near freezing so those people went through hell

  • 00:11 <3

  • Imagine being locked up downstairs and u finally make it up to the first class section and this happens...

  • whats the name of the music that playes when de dome gets flooded??

  • @SupermariokingS The music (which is from the movie's soundtrack) is called "A Building Panic", composed by James Horner.

  • the reason that part gives me chills is because of the passangers screaming. i get it: too corny

  • If they're yelling then water must be freezing cold.

  • J.J. Astor`s last thought: "Now it`s over...."

  • mikeohoh what if YOU were on the ship sinking? wouldn't YOU scream? You would die! And P.S the water Is Like Below ZERO! ITS COLD NOT HOT!!! gosh your dumb

  • Suddenly, this scene became much more realistic than the movie version.

  • Watch the making of titanic heart of the ocean

  • got bless who ever died :(

  • I cant not imaging what not only they saw but what All the passagers who did not survive. its impossible to imgine what there thast sight was.

  • 0:16 to end is mother fucking epic

  • ULTIMATE FIRST CLASS TSUNAMI XD!

  • Major kudos to the creater of this vid! I didn't think the original version could be beat, but this proved me wrong. Really when you think about it, it would (likely) have gone very dark in that room once that dome imploded because one would think the sheer force of that implosion would be enough to knock the electricity out, not to mention the tons of seawater cascading in. The sound effects for this vid fit the scene far better also, in my humble opinion Very well done!

  • @fffsdog You wouldn't scream if you were over 1000 miles from any land about to go in freezing waters? It's dark because it's 1am. The electricity is shot. It would be dark.

  • I wait wait to see this movie next year. Plus I can't wait to see the Ice berg collision in 3D.

  • Comment removed

  • Chilling with all that screaming.. Like Cameron said in the commentary,, that had to have happened at one point... Just being trapped like that while freezing water is gushing in.

  • very god quali

  • its difficult to make this!

  • Fantastic!

  • GREATEST MUSIC EVAR and i would know

  • @fffsdog wait what verison is this? Cuz this doesnt happen in movie right?

  • @fffsdog

I believe the purpose of this video was more so to depict what it would really have looked like as opposed to giving a cinematic feel to it.

  • James cameron should ask you if he can have this for titanic 3D

  • Dear MichaelJeanBaker, please please please make the whole movie as it is shown in this scene. It would look amazing, and i will download it to then present it to friends and family to show off your talent.

  • @XRioteerXBoyX Im going to do that. It's just like this scene. More screams, Extended Scenes, Different Lighting, louder music, etc. If you want it, PM me.

  • the music gives me chills down the spine everytime i hear it! the music of titanic is one of the best movie soundtracks in the history of movie music!

  • What's the soundtrack in this scene?

I listened to "the sinking" and "death of titanic" but they do sound different..

Does anyone know? (sorry for my bad English)

  • @xdheleen the song's called 'A Building Panic' (:

  • i dont get why the power supply hasnt failed butother than that best scene in the film, really conveys just how tragic it was

  • Sea shows no mercy. :´-(

  • [ThiS moVie waS So Sad I FelT N FeeL So Sorry For Them People]!!!OK

  • [ThiS moVie waS So Sad I FelT N FeeL So Sorry For Them People]!!!

  • DUDES THE BEGINNING KILLED MY EARS!!

  • hehe iceberg pwned titanic...NOT THAT I DONT CARE ITS JUST THAT you know a little iceberg pwns the titani- WHAT AM I SAYING? THE TITANIC WAS PATHETIC IN THE BATTLE WITH THE ICEBERG

  • titanic wa in real

  • i would like to see the making of this scene!!! :D

  • @fffsdog NO WAY i like this

  • @fffsdog well guess what? people r used now to the fact that they're sinking and just scared to death for DROWNING!

  • @fffsdog dude if u were on a sinking ship being drowned by water not being able to swim (which most people werent able to do back then) would you scream or be calm? i would definantly do the first thing

  • This is gonna be freaky in 3D!!!!

  • The extra screaming really adds a hard punch and the darkness gives off a sense of claustrophobia. Nice job!

  • in the part where the water came FLYING down the hallway, you really get a sense of hopelessness. I just kept thinking "The ocean is comming to get you. And its pissed."

  • Simply Terrifying.....BRILLIANT!

  • its sinking >_>

  • its a little dark

  • @poomigee Well it has to be dark..the water literally destroyed the lighting so it was that dark at that time..its more realistic! x

  • horrific

  • eh the movie version makes it look more realistic the revised u can tell things were faked

  • I love this moments, well any of the sinking, and the one of the furniture moving to one side and making that noise of the bed or cuboard moving...

I would liked to have been on the Titanic, pity I was born 71 years afterwards!

  • this is good! you did a great job!

  • There was such nobility with all classes that night, you helped out as much as they could, those ordinary people, they are the real heroes.

  • Holy Shit! This gave me the chills!

  • @MichaelJeanBaker

Yes, Cameron once said that they had to make so many lights on Titanic to the movie, because people should see all details. But in real Titanic, there weren't so many lights so there was more dark. :)

  • I still get chills watching this scene

  • O.o

  • Shit. that was scary. Well done mate. You made it perfect.

  • is this scene from the mvoie in 1998?

  • I love this video! They should use it for the new realease of Titanic. This is so much more scary. You can FEEL the intense horror these people felt with all of the screams. This is perfect. Thank you MichaelJeanBaker!

  • What is that at 0:11?

  • @jyant9006 that is the structure of the ship creaking under the water pressure

  • that is sad

  • one of the best scene's in the history of moviemaking!

  • great job!

  • iREAllY didNT NOTiCE THE diFFERENCE :/

    CAN YOU POiNT THEM OUT?

  • @MrElinquieto1 well the differences are the scene is much more intense. You can hear shrill screams through the whole video and in the original version you can only hear 2 screams the scream of the one lady with black hair and the lady by the collum both at the end of the vid. watch the original then thi and you can hear the difference. Cheers!

  • This gives me the creeps... so much more real.

  • Titanics beats Avatar by far!

  • @chrissmercerr so true! sooo much more feeling and I think that this animation is better than avatar because even though Avatar has "better" CGI Titanic still is better cuz after nearly 13 yrs it still looks so realistic...

  • Awesome, gave me the bumps :P

  • i love the music , but don't have in the soundtrack disc , can you tell me where i can found this track?

  • @leatherface1217 on the "Back To Titanic" CD. You can look up the song on here called "A Building Panic" and you can click on the buttons that say you can buy it from amazon or iTunes.

  • excellent work ;)))

  • and this is the reason why i don't want to ride in sailing boat like this and i hate this scene but fantastic to watch it !

  • I always cry when I see the people doe on the ship RIP tianic May you all live happily safe in heaven or the opposite lol

  • Pretty sure I would have had a bullet or knife in my head before I hit the ocean.

  • I think It 's the best scene of the sinking of the titanic...Really impressive...

  • which song was used for this scene?? can anyone tell me please ive been searching everywher

  • Hope they did not have to re-shoot this scene. =)

  • But it is really good.

  • At 2012 James Cameron releases Titanic 3D.

  • heres the website where it says when thay are going 2 realase it but ill tell u a lil bit james cameron confurmed tht in the spring of 2012 he is going to rerelese titanic to the big screen but in 3-D this time i cant wait :) but heres the website hollywood news

  • I love the ship groin you added at the end of the dome scene when the water fills up the entire room!!!

  • if they ever do re realase it they shud definately edit it like this. it gives it so much horror and all the screams make it so much intense...

  • heres the website where it says when titanic is being released again in 3-D i cant wait

  • Hey its not working... any help/advise????

  • James Cameron's coming to my college (Ohio state) on the 28th to talk about idk what. I can't wait to see him!

  • you really knew how to make the dome implosion more real,

now it looks even more terrifying! i love what you did with the

sound effects, just those small editions really made the differance

  • oh I hate this part

    I allways must cry :'(

  • what is the name of the song Dx!!!

  • on the wreck of the titanic the grand staircase is missing. i wonder if this really happened and the force of the imploding dome forced the the staircase to crash into the bowels of the ship...

  • @MrCharlesDouglas The Opposite Actually Happened, They Were confused until the filming of this movie, when the water flooded into the staircase and stairwell it actually caused it to lift up. and alot of historians believe this is what happened on the real titanic as the hole where it was has parts of the metal supprts bent upwards.

  • I heard the film is coming out in selected cinema's in either 2011 or 2012!! :) can't wait to see this scene on the big screen! :o

  • Just by watching this has got to remind you of those who had to go through that terrifying night. I feel very sorry for those who lost there lives during that cold, dark night.

    p.s imagine this in 3D O_O

  • unsinkable ship LMfreakingAO

  • That was frightening as fuck!

  • omg the beginning scared me....... they must be so frightened

  • What song is this?

    And AWSOME SCEAN

    LOOKS SO DANG COLD

    Lol i got goosbumps

  • Its a Building Panic by James Horner!

  • James Cameron should see this, for the re-launching of Titanic 3D

  • I made this edited piece with Final Cut studio! i think that this scene is too much scary with this edit! lol! i really love if cameron put this edit for the re-launching of Titanic 3D and other edit too!

  • @MichaelJeanBaker Please make one from when the ship splits in half. don't know if you noticed that in editing the film is cut a piece of the song by James Horner at that part. that piece that is cut is very good and you could bring something cool to do with it.

Sory for my english, I'm from Argentina. Greetings.

  • @MichaelJeanBaker well yu ever though of e-mailing him, ??

  • well!! yeah! if i get his e-mail! XD i dont know how contact him! it would be amazing!

  • I thought it was just me. I was thinking "This is far more frightening than I remember it being".

  • @Originalcrf there coming out with a titanic 3D??!!

  • So THEY caused the California Drought

  • I like this video. the quality is much better than the first one. great job. I like how you made it look like the lights went out when the water came in. that's probably what would have happened. awesome job.

  • i think that was happened, yu see the light that was surrounding the dome was natural light,

  • I'm curious on if you were around that area where the water is just pouring out rapidly. Would there be electrification added to the water? Or would there be glass shards piercing your clothes and flesh. Or is it ice-cold water just making you scream out " HOLY SHIT ITS COLDDD " . I dunno, Just curious.

  • the water pressure hurts like hell. ever been hit sprayed with a water hose? the pressure from all that water hurts plus the water is ice cold it could knock a person out sooner or later the dome would fill up with water and they are about to drown thats why they are screaming

  • Ohh. That sucks. I'd be really hating if a event like that to happen to me.

  • @KoreanzRulez yes thats a scary thought knowing your about to drown

  • @KoreanzRulez I do agree this will be scary if this happend to me
