  • Life is so funny. When my brother and I were kids in the 70's 80's we neer listened to Reeves; we never like the stuff. We thought they were for old folks cuz my Grandma and our friends parents loved it. We were always upset when we heard them. Here I am now almost 40 years later as I approach 50 and those are the sweetest sounds an ear can hear. REminds me of my cherished "Mummy Granny"

Theres nothing he couldnt sing. i remember when this song came out i was 21 i just met up with my dad and we were out enjoying music i asked them to play the song it was uncanny. they played and sang it beautifully.thankyou for bringing up these great memories and who would of thought my uncle and jim would become best friends for all time. god rest his soul.

    Just finished watching an episode on Mad Men (Madison Men) amazing show that takes place in the infamous 60's. This song came along at the end of the chapter and I it just blew up my mind. Excellent and exquisite song, simply the best version of this time.

  • I grew up listening to Jim Reeves. My parents were both Irish and they loved country music. I heard a funny thing recently, a friend of mine, a Jamaican, told me that a Jim Reeves song had once knocked Bob Marley off the top of the charts in Jamaica! Now THAT is surreal!

  • The string arrangement here is one of the greatest in the history of recorded music. Reeves is incredible here as well. He sings what every woman wants to hear and what every man wants to say. I never tire of listening to this.

    My dad used to say the same thing - Jim Reeves was the greatest. Now that I'm older and now that my dad has passed, I really hear it now. Absolutely the best!
