How to Upload 720p HD Videos to YouTube

I uploaded a 1080p 1920x1080 quality video, on youtube it isn't showing with 720p or 1080p, and I'm stuck with 480. Although the quality is ok, it is not anything near what I want. Note that it was uploaded only 10 minutes ago and is a relatively large file, 4 minutes, really high quality game video, with special effects.

@OllyTheRandom Download Camtasia and change the quality to 'Youtube & HD' or something like that. Then insert your video into it. I've done this before and it makes my videos 720p. It mostly depends how you render your video- unless it's already a .mov/.avi etc file then it wont need to be rendered.

@OllyTheRandom It should have a save icon.

It's in this order-

Record the screen.

Then there should be a folder icon,

then next to that is the save button, which will have a movie symbol in the background.

Click that then select 'Share to Youtube'.

Once you have done that it will upload it for you with no problems what so ever, as it renders it for you then uploads it.

Sorry this is a bit complicated, it's hard to explain.

@Burathan Yeah. You need to get some editing software and just compress the video. You can probably get it down to about 200-300 Megabytes without any noticeable difference in quality.

@Burathan dude one of the best compression software that doesnt reduce video quality is Sorenson Squeeze with the right presets that come with it i compressed my after effect HD avi video that was originally 8.2gb in size and 2 minutes long to 53 megabytes and it didnt reduce any quality. i used to use windows movie maker but it didnt do as good of a job sorenson squeeze
