if they are making a new one heres hoping they make it a bit of a gritty animation style.

dark knight returns deserves the darkest theme..... should be made more like a horror movie than an action movie. IMO.

not to say that they should improvise with the storyline at all, just give it a "house of mirrors" , "film noir" , horror movie type feel.

@dcentc Well as I understand it Bruce Timm & Paul Dini are going to be involved in it, DC is first going to be doing an animated 'The Dark Knight Year One' film followed by an animated TDKR movie. No idea if Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill will be voicing it or who's animating it. Bleedingcooldotcom had an article on it.

Supposedly it'll be coming out around the time of the live action third Dark Knight movie.
