Yeah, a decent way to affect the posterior SI Joint, not the best, from a massage stand point it could be done. We have to think about the hip capsule as well. There are certainly more, and better ways to affect the posterior SIJ.
Very good Geoffrrey. So good to see clinicians tackling the hip and treating hip extension which is oftentimes a silent contributor to pelvis and lumbar dysfunctions. Not only are you tackling the adductors via the Golgi tendon organ but also via the very powerful articular mechanoreceptors, particularly types III and IV, which further inhibit muscle contracting, shortening, etc.
