It's possible that it is a sample stored in Alex's keyboard, but it could be the actual samples in Dave/Jake's DL4s...I'm unsure how Ice Monster outro is actually played. It sounds like it's the verse played backwards at double speed maybe?

I think (I'm definitely not sure) it's a sample Dave made with his guitar. Wikipedia says he can sometimes be heard creating the sames on his DL4s before the songs start.

If we're talking about the end part of ice monster, then it could be anything. Dave, Jake, Alex and Cory all have DL4's, so it could be all of them creating a sample at the end of the song and then warping it. It could just be something Alex triggers as well. The Fix is all Dave and Jake though (the samples), I'm 100% positive.

Correction, Carlos Santana WAS one of the greatest guitar players in the world until he went all acid flashback and started creating that god awful shit he is right now. He's become a one trick pony, I don't even understand why he keeps his bridge pickup in his guitar, all of his solos are the exact same now and it saddens me that he's nowhere near half the creative genius he once was.
