You know there is a dial on redrum that changes the placement of the notes. You don't need to run at 184 bpm, just set redrum to 1/32 or 1/64 to get the notes closer together. Your set at 1/16 so that's why the kick notes are separated like that.

Use the 2 band parametric EQ device in reason. if you right click on your sample device (Rex or NNXT) you can create the 2 Band EQ, That device basically isolates certain sound freq, so you can take all the bass out of a sound, or cut the vocals.

it's pretty much impossible. just download some drum kits or find songs with drum breakdowns

You gotta keeping messing with it. You cant fully take out anything of a song you can can only filter them out with an eq. Because no song is mixed the same way usually you cant have a certain setting....

Nice Job !..I used to double the tempo and use 32 steps on the redrum, but you can just set the knob on the redrum to 32nd notes and you dont have to double the tempo. It makes the dr rex work better over beats. Just FYI
