wow, cool. This is the mighty Pennsylvania RR train, maybe the "South Wind", which would come in from Indy and then be handed over to the L&N for the run south, eventually to FLA. The filming was done at the passneger depot lead tracks, the giant "shed" where trains parked (and where the train backing up is going to) and unloaded passengers. All of it was gone as of 4/30/70, when Amtrak came to be. Louisville soon lost all passenger train service. ETTS (everything eventually turns to s**t)
the rival train of the southwind was the illinois central's city of miami, which sadly was replaced with the southwind, renamed by amtrak, the floridian, the city of miami was the better ,cleaner & on time train, the amtrak's floridian had terrible equipment, got frozen in the snow in kentucky was rerouted numerous times due to the penn central's deteorating trackage, and the l&n's nashville to montgomery al trackage was in bad shape also, was chosen because of the state capitols it operated
