The reason Babs Bunny (and to a slightly lesser extent the other female characters on Tiny Toons) is so interesting to me is that as far as I know she was the first girl toon animal who was used as a full-fledged slapstick character. She could get smacked around just as much as the boys, and go through wild emotional contortions just like them. That was new at the time. Most girl toons before that had been played straight. Tiny Toons just took that "rule" and smashed it.
