If you can, try to model it from some real videos. The flash needs to be a bit bigger and you need to be able to see the glow on surrounding scenery that would be likely to pick it up (Walls, your face etc.). Also the report was bloody awful, you really need a better bit of sound for that. I'm not saying I could do any of this however, it's just a bit of creative criticism.

Before you continue reading... i did notice this was made in Feb or 2011.
Flare needs to be around the same size as the gun. and add glow on the wall where you think it should go. ( close the the end of the gun, arms, face. ect.)
also when you add a bigger flare, 3 frames is usually the max.
@Dontcallmetimtam after all the shooting i've done, which is like, 5 times, i've noticed there is almost always a muzzle flash on pistols, but rarely ever on rifles or sub machine guns. Though cameras can't catch the fast muzzle flash so they don't appear on videos.
