great playing nice pan ok peeps study this playing and forget bout the sticks, in any case serious pan players need to have more than one type of stick, vibraphone and other stick players do, you are the one to make the best of your instrument not the stick, you got wood /aluminum, whatever there are diferrent techniques to each type

@airtone1980 no i think they wants what each bumps note is written on the bump that way they know which one to hit in order to play, most people dont naturally know which note is which on a steel drum

If you don't mind me to ask but do you like those mallets. I got aluminum and there much better in sound.

I use these mallets for practice in house.

and these are  made of bamboo and polyurethane.

When I play on stage, I use wood mallets with rabber.

These can make bright and big sound.
