@aferguson1960 because Voldemort deeply despises Malfoy since Lucius failed in his task in the Ministry of Magic to recover the prophecy, indeed, he before was angry to him, when he badly damaged the diary Horcrux that had given him into custody. Voldemort also knows that Lucius fears him, and almost no voice comes out in front of him, and this increases his contempt (see the scene at Malfoy's Manor from the first part of deathly hallows)
So many powerful and emotional scenes in this video. I wish it hadn't ended with the seventh book. And yet a tale so epic that if there ever was a continuation one would fear it might dilute it's impact by watering it down into the mundane.
@leony331 In fact in many ways the films don't do justice to the books. However I agree: the tale of the books is epic and the masterful interpretation of actors like Alan Rickman, Jason Isaacs, Gary Oldman, Maggie Smith, Helena Bonham Carter makes even the movies memorable. Special mention to the bravery of Ralph Fiennes: if after his acting as the nazi in Schindler's List he entered a pub and someone spat in his face, I wonder what will happen after portraying Voldemort so well!
@annafrancesca1 His own face is not that recognizable behind the latex. He probably got more lucky this time than the poor kid who played Draco. I read he was given a hard time because Draco was a foe and folks verbally abused him on the street.
@leony331 OH! I didn't know about Tom Felton, it's not pleasant! But thinking about it is plausible, since it seems to me that among the young actors of HP, he is the more talented one, and so it's easy to confuse him with the character. In fact he gives Draco a sort of inner conflict and a kind of spirituality that imho is not in the books, and that somehow justifies the desire of Dumbledore and of Severus also to protect him from the negativity brought about by his own family.
Lucious looks more and more rough for each year that goes. Voldemort has the strangest way of saying it I think. Having read the book I knew the last film wouldn't be cheerful but wow how gloomy.
I wish the memories of Snape had been longer, I found him to one of the most interesting characters.
@MissMael I read all the books. Severus is my favorite character, since from the first book I was sure that he was on the good side. From the movies in my opinion you cannot understand anything and the part of the Prince's tale is too short, but the interpretation of Alan Rickman is so powerful and effective to compensate for the shortcomings of the screenwriting. Lucius has fallen out of favor, since then he doesn't shave!
And the movie is too gloomy, many victims but somehow it lacks pathos.
@annafrancesca1 I was also convinced since the first book that there was more to Severus than just what met the eye. I was really shocked at the end of book 6 and relieved but also sad when reading about his memories in book 7. I think he was a wonderful tragic anti-hero and a character I felt a lot with. However a fellow Potter fan of mine couldn't stand him and she meant that his reasons and character were weak and egoistic. :( Well she didn't convince me of that notion.
@Majcicaful Thanks, I'm glad you liked it! I know it's a little gloomy, but it is a curse that kills, so it could not be otherwise. BTW, you are right: sometime this could be a useful curse! ^__^
