I love the fact that people always pick the Padres to come last. Well if nothing else, it lets us slip under the radar, but not anymore, because WE'VE BEEN IN FIRST IN THE ENTIRE NL FOR ALL BUT THREE DAYS!
padres are awesome dbacks suck....and the reds are hot right now so the nl central is not yet decidable....the braves are best and the phillies 104 wins?....wtf the mariners are worse than the tribe but u did get texas right....wow, u got the central right the tigers are really fading....the red sox are gonna mis the playoffs cuz of injuries and the rays rock orioles suck and they just traded tejada.... so ur predictions were off but i enjoyed watching :D
I like how you say the dodgers have a young team when really there old. This is last year for dodgers to do anything b4 they fall apart.... the NL west will be owned by the giants and padres for the next 5 years.
@MoranXc Marlins have young potential. they've looked decent in years past so i picked them to be good this season. we all know how good the phillies are. and so far, the braves are proving me right
@boltman02 I don't know man. They are having a great run, but I think they'll turn into what, the '03 or '04 expos, were they ran out of gas toward the end of the season. I know their pitching has been lights out, but that offense is gonna' kill them come the second half of the season. And my Mets are a surprise too, huh!
Ha-ha, bye-bye Cliff Lee-- NY Mets!! I knew the Mariners weren't for real and I'm somewhat surprised that the A's leapfrogged them in the standings; although Billy is a solid GM and has put together good-decent teams in years past.
The Reds, I am not that surprised. I already knew that the Astros, Cubs, and Pirates were dead in the water. The Brewers, I had faith in but losing Ben and C.C. really hurt them.
The Rays-- I underestimated their talent, but Pena and Crawford will be gone, I think
@WorldTradeCenter2011 they have played without jair jurrjens who has been effective for them and at times jason heyward and still lead it. i think they're capable.
@tstarr17 Well I think they will cool down. At least I hope they will. I'm really looking forward to another postseason with the Phillies. They have really let me and everyone else down this year. I mean come on! They are supposed to be favorites to win the World Series!!!!
@tstarr17 Well Rollins is back now, but yea their lineup is really screwed up. But still, if they are a truly great team they should be able to get to the postseason anyway. They need Halladay to start winning games now and Werth has to stop striking out. I've had it with their offensive problems. Offense should be the least of our worries.
@longwoodlions28 after the nationals went 59-103 in 09, why would anyone pick them to do good? can you honestly say youve seen a video predicting the nationals would win the NL East or make the playoffs as a wild card team? im not quite sold on washington just yet. the only team thats good this season they've played was the phillies and just 6 games
AL East: Tampa Bay Rays AL Central: Minnesota Twins AL West: Oakland A's AL Wild Card: New York Yankees NL East: Philadelphia Phillies NL Central: St. Louis Cardinals NL West: San Fransisco Giants NL Wild Card: Florida Marlins AL Pennant: Minnesota NL Pennant: St. Louis World Series Champs: Minnesota
I like the Angels in the AL west. I think they just have too much experience. They went to the ALCS last year. Scioscia is good against teams over 500. Rangers defense hasn't been good so far.
I think the Braves will win the wild card. They'll be playing with a lot of motivation. After all, this is Bobby Cox last year and maybe for Chipper Jones too. Plus theyve got great young talent like Melky Cabrera and Jason Hayword. Hayword is my rookie of the year winner.
@MarkHerzlich94 well rounded? edgar renteria wont dominate anyone. you have solid hitters, i can see the giants making a run, but im not sold on the hitting. yes you have a very good rotation, but you need to be a good all around team to be playing in october
@MarkHerzlich94 I don't want to sound like an asshole but your only said Renteria will have a big season cause he had a .750 average like 3 games into the season. He's pretty washed up actually, the only reason the Giants picked him up is because their weak point is shortstop.
@MarinersFan1015 i would like to see seattle win it too, but if you know something about milton bradley, he has been a clubhouse cancer for every team he's played for. getting him was a huge mistake. if they didnt, id pick seattle ANYDAY to win that division
Overall, good predictions IMO. The only one i disagree with is in the AL West. I think Scoisia shows why he is the best manager in baseball and the angels will pull out yet another division title. The gap is definitely smaller but I still think they are the team to beat. I don't think Texas has the pitching and I don't think the Mariners have enough in the middle of that lineup.
@ridder00 the nationals have made some good moves this offseason. getting adam kennedy, jason marquis, ivan rodriguez, scott olsen, etc. the royals on the other hand, not so much. they lost some key players like miguel olivo. he was 3rd in the AL in throwing out base runners.
i can definitly agree with all of those predictions........ except for maybe the marlins...... they have a good team but their wins will defenitly not be in the 90's range
Oh come on! I don't think that the Phillies are that good to win 100+ games. And the Braves are better than the Marlins so I think the Braves should be at least at 2nd and maybe around 95-67.
@tstarr17 Well the lost of Mike and Rafi is a big blow but they got Takashi Saito and Billy Wagner and so far they've been pretty good. And they still have a fine group of guys in the bullpen like Moylan soo I think the bullpen will work just fine.
@tstarr17 Have you seen what Atlanta picked up in thier absence?? Billy Wagner and Saito...Bullpen will be fine, not to mention the well balanced lineup and fine starting rotation.
Uh winning over 95 games is VERY hard. It is pretty much impossible (almost) for every divison pretty have to have 1 or 2. Also, the AL has been better than the NL for years. It aint changing this year
I believe that the Braves will have a pretty good season this year, they have a strong Pitching Staff and Offensive upgrades. Don't forget Atlanta beat the Phillies 11 out of 21 games, this year they will be stronger
How do you have the Mariners getting a worse record then they did last year with all the improvements they made? Milton Bradley cancels out chone figgins and cliff lee?
Ha, I forgot about Chris Dickerson, he's not bad. And they did sign Jonny Gomes who has power. Why can't it be April already, I think this season is going to have some interesting division races.
The Reds are a team with potential and I guess we'll have to wait and see what Chapman can do. I just can't see them hanging around with the Cubs and Cardinals. The Cardinals have pretty much owned that divison since Albert came up and he's the type of player who can carry a team on his back, we've seen it before. 1-2 years, and I think they'll get in.
The Rays better get it done because Crawford and Pena are free agents after this year and I don't see them coming back, maybe Pena does.
cool video. If I could give a couple comments (opinion :)), I think the DiamondBacks need more consideration. Arizona has a great rotation (looking forward to Kennedy's first full year) and offensively, I think they will possibly lead the NL West in runs scored. I reallllllly like your Cincinnati Reds prediction!!
If I can say "Come on man!" to one thing - it's selecting the Rangers to finish first in the West. Angels have too much talent in the bigs and minors.
they do have a good rotation, but their lineup is horrible. their only good hitter is mark reynolds. who is also a strikeout machine (hitting wise. he strikes out WAY too much. they might come in second because the giants and padres have horrible hitting. dodgers have a good hittin squad tho. Angels lost too much in the offseason. they lost John Lackey, Guerrero, and Chone Figgins.
the rays are a solid team. they also now have rafael soriano. the reds were very injury prone in 2010 and made some solid moves this offseason. Rangers also now have Rich Harden and Vladmir Guerrero.
Talk about injury prone, Rich Harden is exactly that. The Rays can't compete with the Red sox and Yanks. 08 was their fluke year. And after the end of this year, it will be a while before they are taken seriously again. The Reds don't impress me. Scott Rolen, good luck getting something out of him. Orlando Cabrera, he'll be turning 36. After Bruce, Votto, and Phillips, it's ?....?....?......?......?.....for the rest of the lineup. Arroyo, Bailey, Cueto, Harang, Volquez. That's not good enough.
The Rays do now have Rafael Soriano. They are just like the 07-08 rockies. injury prone the next season. Pena got hurt the final month of the season, BJ Upton got hurt as well, Pat Burrell, etc. and still won 84 games. they're not competing with boston and NY too much tho. the reds were very injury prone to. Cabrera is still a solid pickup. they also have arodlis chapman now who was very good in Cuba.
I shouldn't have said that the Reds rotation is not good enough, because for that division, it is. The one thing they have going for them is that the Cardinals have no one after their top 2. The Cubs do have three good starters and if they can stay healthy-- another team with injury problems-- they have a real good chance.
i had the dodgers winning 98 games. yes i know they're better but i wouldnt be suprised if they didnt win the NL West either. because of their ownership's divorce, they arent a free spending team anymore. the only guy they signed was jamey carroll. Colorado was just in the playoffs last season. you may think we will suck because we lost marquis, but we're getting our former ace Jeff Francis back who won 17 games in 2007.
I say switch the marlins and the Braves. Reds wont get 2nd place. I give 2nd to the brewers. Rangers won't win the West. Mariners will. I agree with the Phillies. they coulda won 100 something games in 09 if they didnt have 17 blown saves...
Marlins have a young team with tons of upside. The Braves dont have the hitting to do it. even if they get jonny damon. The Reds made some decent signings plus had an injury plagued 2009. Milton Bradley is a club house cancer. he has been every team he played for. he now plays for the Mariners. plus we saw how the rangers did last season. and they now have Vladmir Guerrero
so the Dbacks who get webb and cojack back and added Jackson and kennedy to the rotation, not to mention LaRoche at first are gonna finish 3rd. get outta here you biast rox fan, Dbacks will win the West!!!
it will still be a few months before webb is 100% Ian Kennedy hasnt lived up to his potential yet, and Adam La roche is a good addition, but they will have to be able to keep up with the rockies and dodgers. Colorado has a young team with some of our players who are becoming really good.
@minertank13 What was that? last time i checked, the d-backs have the second worst record in the national league, but you're probably right. they'll get a hot streak and probably win right?
I think the white sox will take the central they have more depth and proven players than the twins, plus the twins will play out doors they were close to 20 games under 500 on the road last year.
the cubs will win the nl central and the phillies will have the best record in baseball with 102-60 and you guys will win the N.L. west and the dodgers the wildcard
I think the Marlins actually have shot at the NL East, I also think the Mariners will take the AL West, and i hope my Sox can pass the yanks for the AL East
Completely wrong!! Go Giants!

Buddy - you need to do a little math before presenting predictions like this.
There are 2,430 games in an MLB season, therefore the combined record of all teams must be 2,430-2,430.
Your combined record is 2,523-2,337. You've given out 93 more wins than is possible.

The Cardinals have pretty much owned that divison since Albert came up and he's the type of player who can carry a team on his back, we've seen it before. 1-2 years, and I think they'll get in.
The Rays better get it done because Crawford and Pena are free agents after this year and I don't see them coming back, maybe Pena does.

in this video, i have the cardinals 14 games over the reds. the cubs arent too great.

Cool man
kyleboerner 2 years ago
they do have a good rotation, but their lineup is horrible. their only good hitter is mark reynolds. who is also a strikeout machine (hitting wise. he strikes out WAY too much. they might come in second because the giants and padres have horrible hitting. dodgers have a good hittin squad tho. Angels lost too much in the offseason. they lost John Lackey, Guerrero, and Chone Figgins.

i really do think my orioles will finish 3rd and above the rays and jays this year

its possible

rangers with 92 wins!? the rays are not that good and neither are the reds.
FutureAnnouncer 2 years ago
the rays are a solid team. they also now have rafael soriano. the reds were very injury prone in 2010 and made some solid moves this offseason. Rangers also now have Rich Harden and Vladmir Guerrero.
tstarr17 2 years ago
Talk about injury prone, Rich Harden is exactly that. The Rays can't compete with the Red sox and Yanks. 08 was their fluke year. And after the end of this year, it will be a while before they are taken seriously again. The Reds don't impress me. Scott Rolen, good luck getting something out of him. Orlando Cabrera, he'll be turning 36. After Bruce, Votto, and Phillips, it's ?....?....?......?......?.....for the rest of the lineup. Arroyo, Bailey, Cueto, Harang, Volquez. That's not good enough.
DaRkLyDrEamiNg000 2 years ago 2
The Rays do now have Rafael Soriano. They are just like the 07-08 rockies. injury prone the next season. Pena got hurt the final month of the season, BJ Upton got hurt as well, Pat Burrell, etc. and still won 84 games. they're not competing with boston and NY too much tho. the reds were very injury prone to. Cabrera is still a solid pickup. they also have arodlis chapman now who was very good in Cuba.
tstarr17 2 years ago
I shouldn't have said that the Reds rotation is not good enough, because for that division, it is. The one thing they have going for them is that the Cardinals have no one after their top 2. The Cubs do have three good starters and if they can stay healthy-- another team with injury problems-- they have a real good chance.
DaRkLyDrEamiNg000 2 years ago 2
decent, but the brew crew will get to .500
TySketch 2 years ago
good picks but Reds will definitely not get 2nd place in their division
tacosauce731 2 years ago
most accurate picks.
26philsphan 2 years ago
The Rockies will not win 97 games. The Dodgers are better than them.
The Cardinals won't even make the playoffs. Outside Carpenter and Wainwright, they have no one. Penny and Hill, yeah right.
The Mariners will win the west without a problem. The Angels will come in second. I am not sold on Texas just yet.
DaRkLyDrEamiNg000 2 years ago
i had the dodgers winning 98 games. yes i know they're better but i wouldnt be suprised if they didnt win the NL West either. because of their ownership's divorce, they arent a free spending team anymore. the only guy they signed was jamey carroll. Colorado was just in the playoffs last season. you may think we will suck because we lost marquis, but we're getting our former ace Jeff Francis back who won 17 games in 2007.

Oh. my bad lolz. i dont like his predictions either
tstarr17 2 years ago
you put too many teams above .500
remember to balance the wins and loses in each division out next time
tonymr95 2 years ago
i know. its not easy predictions wins and losses for the MLB.
tstarr17 2 years ago
I say switch the marlins and the Braves. Reds wont get 2nd place. I give 2nd to the brewers. Rangers won't win the West. Mariners will. I agree with the Phillies. they coulda won 100 something games in 09 if they didnt have 17 blown saves...
Fallingdown232 2 years ago
Marlins have a young team with tons of upside. The Braves dont have the hitting to do it. even if they get jonny damon. The Reds made some decent signings plus had an injury plagued 2009. Milton Bradley is a club house cancer. he has been every team he played for. he now plays for the Mariners. plus we saw how the rangers did last season. and they now have Vladmir Guerrero
tstarr17 2 years ago
reds in 2nd???
tacosauce731 2 years ago
they made some decent signings plus they were hurt.

so the Dbacks who get webb and cojack back and added Jackson and kennedy to the rotation, not to mention LaRoche at first are gonna finish 3rd. get outta here you biast rox fan, Dbacks will win the West!!!
minertank13 2 years ago
it will still be a few months before webb is 100% Ian Kennedy hasnt lived up to his potential yet, and Adam La roche is a good addition, but they will have to be able to keep up with the rockies and dodgers. Colorado has a young team with some of our players who are becoming really good.
tstarr17 2 years ago
haha bullshit the d-backs have a horrible lineup and an above average pitching staff
you can have a good staff but a horrible offense wont get you to the top
tonymr95 2 years ago
exactly! a good example is the Giants. they have a great rotation but their hitting is garbage
tstarr17 2 years ago
@minertank13 What was that? last time i checked, the d-backs have the second worst record in the national league, but you're probably right. they'll get a hot streak and probably win right?
nlchamps07fan 1 year ago 2
I pretty much agree with everything except i dont think the phills will win 104. I think about 98 or 99
thefightinphillies13 2 years ago
the phillies have a great lineup, and will have Roy Halladay the whole season instead of Cliff Lee 2 months
tstarr17 2 years ago
I think the white sox will take the central they have more depth and proven players than the twins, plus the twins will play out doors they were close to 20 games under 500 on the road last year.
dangasi22 2 years ago
the cubs will win the nl central and the phillies will have the best record in baseball with 102-60 and you guys will win the N.L. west and the dodgers the wildcard
TheEaglesphils17 2 years ago
TERRIBLE
Coasterdaredevil13 2 years ago
I think the Marlins actually have shot at the NL East, I also think the Mariners will take the AL West, and i hope my Sox can pass the yanks for the AL East
