I just watched the end of Code Geass and there is no possible way for there to do an R3. Sunrise is popular for ending a series with a cliff hanger ending and making either an OVA, a follow up movie, or nothing at all so you the fan can decide what happens. So don't get your hopes up about an R3, but I'll give you bragging rights towards me if it dose happen. Just don't count your chickens before they hatch

season 3 isnt gonna be called R3. R2 stands for Rebellion and Revolution. Rhe new series is called Code Geass: Gaiden. It sets in Europe during the first season of CG.

@miro995 Shikkoko no Renya IS the next Code Geass series. The director is having the manga published beforehand to gather details on it's popularity and such. However, the Lelouch within Shikkoko no Renya isn't the same Lelouch from Code Geass R1 and R2. This takes place in the past, so most likely, this is an ancestor of Lelouch. Lelouch is a descendant of Royalty and the Lelouch in Shikkoko no Renya is after all a king.
@miro995 Lelouche is alive due to getting the code, and being immortal. When suzaku accepted the geass, it was a real geass. Lelouche is indeed the guy in the cloak, however R3 will have suzaku as the main character and , I presume, lelouche guiding suzaku now and again during melancholy and epic scenes. Or rather, lelouche planned out everything suzaku would do in reaction to his proclaimed death, hence pretty much causing peace again.

No offense but the evidence you have set forth is incorrect. You are in fact correct there will be code geass R3!! It takes place in 2017. There are 5 people on the European warfron with a 5% chance of surviving in the begining. That is what i read and Lelouch does live!! He is ALIVE. Apparently some of the dead characters are brought back as well because of a new geass power and some other stuff. However this is mostly rumors. @StyleChang Rei Renya of the rebellion, the official R3, is set in the Edo era of Japan. You could see it as a gaiden of the current Code geass. CC tries to give a geass power to Renya, but thanks to some weird power this fails. Instead, he receives a curse which alter his left arm into a kind of Guren arm. Because this is set in the past, there are no Knightmare frames but rather armored men and demons who fight with swords, knifes or claws.

I just watched the end of Code Geass and there is no possible way for there to do an R3. Sunrise is popular for ending a series with a cliff hanger ending and making either an OVA, a follow up movie, or nothing at all so you the fan can decide what happens. So don't get your hopes up about an R3, but I'll give you bragging rights towards me if it dose happen. Just don't count your chickens before they hatch

People R3 will not happen for now because the Code Geass SunRise team is on a low budgit on the animating Payments and they can't seem to work through it. But they said they will get Code Geass for sure on 2011 december ^^

Существует 3 стадии развития гиасса)) грубым языком первая это когда гиасс есть но птичек в глазах не видно. вторая - одна птичка. третья - две птички. сила гиасса возрастает от первой до третьей стадии. Всего в аниме присутствует два кода гиасса(код бессмертия) это у Сиси и у Виви. Код Гиасса можно передать несколькими способами. Первый - это когда гиасоноситель выполняет желание гиасодателя, второй - когда гиасодатель сам передаёт код гиасоносителю.

However, I agree with you about him not making an appearance in R3, cuz its about a whole different area. Im reading the manga of Renya of the Darkness and theres a guy who looks a LOT like Lelouch, only now with long hair. However they're just at chapter 5 so it isnt explained who the guy is really. @miro995 Shikkoko no Renya IS the next Code Geass series. The director is having the manga published beforehand to gather details on it's popularity and such. However, the Lelouch within Shikkoko no Renya isn't the same Lelouch from Code Geass R1 and R2. This takes place in the past, so most likely, this is an ancestor of Lelouch. Lelouch is a descendant of Royalty and the Lelouch in Shikkoko no Renya is after all a king.

@miro995 Lelouche is alive due to getting the code, and being immortal. When suzaku accepted the geass, it was a real geass. Lelouche is indeed the guy in the cloak, however R3 will have suzaku as the main character and , I presume, lelouche guiding suzaku now and again during melancholy and epic scenes. Or rather, lelouche planned out everything suzaku would do in reaction to his proclaimed death, hence pretty much causing peace again.
