I believe the locrian seems to give at a first look a creepy sound, but in contemporary music funky sound, Locrian would be a great mode to write an entire funk or disco song in.

If it sounds good, go with it. They're all minor modes so are very similar but use the b5 and b2 to get that really Locrian sound.
