  • Where is Galena III? I just arrived in Cali and am no longer bored! Thanks for the belated Mardi Gras!!! I ate so much King Cake I almost died. lol

  • Galenas in North western corner of Illinois ......WE have lots of fun here on 110 ten acres Near Pilot Knob area .,,, Gelenas a old lead town . Ever though .I do miss the sleepy stillness of the La,, south winters ...and the warmth too!!A differnt place of pace >

  • DO YOU LIKE CRAWDADS or ARE YOU MORE OF A SHRIMP GAL ??????

  • Red hair so cute !!!!

    Windy

  • heheh Thanks Russ.

  • If you are going to make a tour through Florida,

Sanibel Island is the seashell capital of the world.

It is a beautiful clean beach, usually uncrowded, and you can watch the sun set on the Gulf.

In fact, that puts me in mind of a uniquely Florida activity. You can watch the sunrise on the Atlantic Ocean, and the sunset on the

Gulf of Mexico. I've done that a couple of times.

  • Sanibel has long been a dream of mine. Shelling is a MAJOR love for me. Do you see the sunrise and sunset over 2 oceans at the same time? I have only done that in Panama. Sanibel is now on my list.

  • I forgot that you've spent time in Panama. Watching the sunrise on the Atlantic and the sunset on the on the Pacific must have been a special experience.

  • It really was. My first 18 years were spent there. Also the rain would start on the Atlantic and crash through the rainforest and hit us at precisely 4pm every day in the rainy season. I loved it. I miss it.

  • Yeah, I'll bet that was great! I'm a stormy weather freak. I love rain, and wind and thunder. Right up to the point where it starts tearing up the house and flooding......

But there really is something in a rainstorm that is good for my soul, and I've always known that.

I've always been appreciative of the fact that I wasn't born a desert dweller!

  • a lot of people hump? maybe im just hearng things :P

i love abq, NM. can't explain why it's so amazng you just feel it in your heart when you are there.

  • LOL we'll get you a hearing aid or me a better speaking voice. haha! Abq, NM... I looked it up and wow! K it is definitely on my list. What is your favorite place there and why?

  • The icy attitude of boredom will melt before the warm heart of a volunteer

  • I have no idea what that means but it sure sounds pretty. :D

  • As long as you're online the world is at your fingertips, but I highly recommend Key West...

  • Key West! I have wanted to see Key West for a long time. That sounds like another for my list.

  • This is an old one, but do you find yourself in a one horse town and they just informed you the horse died yesterday?

River, how can you be bored if you own a computer?

Hey, I think we own the same pajamas.

  • Cuz the computer is sooooo slow here. Hey get out of my pajamas! (heee)

  • Hello River, Sounds like you are not doing too good. Try to be with another person as a friend if you are alone to keep you company. If you like to write, try to write a short story or a song. Write a letter to one of our American Troops that is overseas thanking them for fighting for our country and wishing them a very Merry Christmas. Go volunteer to help less lucky people that is in need. Be a Savation army Bell ringer.

got to Disneyland in Calf. Most of all, Have a Merry Christmas.

  • You have a good idea about writing to the troops. That is an excellent idea. I will look for an address. As for Disneyland, it would not take much to get me to say yes to that one! And Merry Christmas to you too.

  • I just boiled shrimp at 2:15 am. Sleep is sometimes problematic for me.

  • Shrimp at 2:15am with insomnia. I'll go for it! LOVE shrimp.

  • But fishing can be loads of fun if you do it right!

Fishing with dynamite yields instant excitement and gratification!

Hand grenades are even better if you can get them, because they sink instantly and you can get the gigantic channel cats down on the bottom.

  • ROFLLL dynamite!!!!! This comment made me laugh so much!

  • I should add that the authorities really disapprove of fishing with explosives.

  • haha! You are making me laugh!

  • There are no establishments where you could sip an Amaretto or two, and bat your pretty eyes at some handsome young gentlemen? Perhaps convince them to dance to some Marvin Gaye tunes or maybe some George Strait or the Bellamy Brothers?

    Cats as furniture! LOLOL!

  • No establishments but beer halls and if my family found out that I went into one... and they would find out.... all heck would break loose.

  • Ah, the wonderful small town grapevine, where everybody knows everything that everybody else does. I'm familiar with that social phenomenon.

  • sounds like my town at sundown they roll up the sidewalks and the town close up for the night

  • Exactly. They roll it up real tight too.

  • Bah..boredom was invented where I live! Plus, I'm so loopy lately I don't have any concentration.

  • So you are stoned, is that what you are saying VK? hehe

  • resting on a cat!! LMAO

  • She is definitely good for that, she hardly moves.

  • Sounds like my town, except we have 2 nice restaurants and no walmart :P

  • No walmart????

  • Nope! :)

We have to drive 25-30 minutes to get to a walmart.

  • Welcome to my world hunny! lol Sounds like where I live!

    Sexy attire there missus. x

  • Hey you are THE sexy attire maven. xo

  • I know you're simply bemoaning the lack of catered activites in a small town, but River, you have to put things in perspective. From my Houston hometown till my near-40s, I was strictly a big-city boy with an excess of traveling and (yawn) so-called "excitement," with a notable 8-year exception in a (then) small Texas town. Hated every minute of it.

Today, I hate it just as much, but because it's no longer a small town. Instead it's just like all the others, Gime me peace and quiet anytime.

  • Houston is where I just came from, and I miss it so much. Well just my old haunts you know, and a Sephora store. Peace and quiet does do wonders for the soul when looked at in a positive manner.

  • go to a beach.

  • A beach is a great suggestion for me the beach lover. But which beach?

  • resting on a cat. hahahahaah

  • She was sound asleep too. haha

  • How about the Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee? Stay in Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg..we go every year and love it..you can hit Dollywood..hahah

  • Thank you! So on your suggestion I am going to research these tonight (except maybe not Dollywood hahah!) What do you do there?

  • Oh and what time of year do you go?

  • Going a little stir crazy? Aren't there day trips you can take? Places of interest nearby, like the pecan plantation?

Sorry I can't help more than that, never been to LA. or the U.S or the Americas.

I like your nightgown btw, you sexy thang!

  • Thank you (blush). Yes, I have taken alot of day trips.

  • Ok, how about if you moved to another RV park? Might provide a fresh change? New perspective. New neighbours? :)
