  • CROWBAR brought me here...

  • Prefect for those days you don't want to leave the house and the sky is grey and filled with melancholy.

  • i hope all evidence of this song is burn so no one has to endure this bullshit excuse of music.

  • @shaneturnerable Fuck you. Listen to Nickleback and Little Wayne

  • @willingtotry awww your as cute as a god damn pink asshole son... step up and get schooled with your nigga lookin ass nigga.:)

  • ...

  • (i have idea, this music with opera.) Using dante divine comedy as the stage and theme

  • the three powers in all of us need to be developed the material, the spirit, and the mind!

  • These guys must have been a really big influence on Mastodon. Well, it really seems like it.

  • @Fluffypopcicle Troy Sanders has praised Neurosis many times. I saw an interview were he stated that if it wasn't for Neurosis, there wouldn't be a Mastodon. :)

  • too bad they didn't use the full version

  • too short!

  • i'm so mad the song is cut short. the end is where it gets most intense making this such a perfect build up. totally ruined me listening to this just now.

  • I could really die for the riff at 1:10 and 2:20 *_*

  • The lead singer is my uncle scott

  • New Years Eve Friday Dec 31, 2010 - Seattle, Washington

Infinite Productions presents NEUROSIS, Ludicra, YOB and Brothers Of The Sonic Cloth @ Neumos 21+

  • This sounds a lot like mid '90s indie rock, Slint, Rodan, et al. I guess if all you listen to is metal this must sound really new and profound, but eh....

  • @BurningSpear213 Thats certainly true of this record but in no small part to Albini engineering though you cant really gauge a band by an edited version of a song but eh...

  • @BurningSpear213 But they came before those bands and mid-90's indie rock was total crap, Neurosis wasn't.

  • @MsCrudos Well, really, Slint was early/pre 90s post hardcore (sort of like Pavement but with talent) and honestly could have influenced Neurosis' style as it developed into what it was for Souls at Zero considering Neurosis' hardcore roots. Naturally, this doesn't detract from how awesome Neurosis is or just how thick and layered their sound tends to be. Really, that alone sets it apart as a whole 'nother beast.

  • Christ, all of these comments are so pretentious.

  • @LichKingSkullWart

It's not about being a fan or not. Let the music give you a profound experience. Some people might feel the same way about pop, rap or other genres/artists. If you don't get it, that's cool. But if you have shred of soul, pick this CD up (not just mp3s), sit in your basement with the lights low, smoke or drink whatever you need and crank this record - don't touch the volume, tell your mom to go away, hold calls, whatever. If you're not affected by it, it's really your loss.

  • @dripgoss well said... respect \m/

  • A legjobb Neurosis szám,nem vitás.

  • Once is enough, trial is alone. Grace fall into us.

All through the night, Father I crawled.

Sun of my soul be revealed. Walking amongst the stones

from the sky, feeling their rhythm wash over me.

Rite of this waring god. Destructive, alive, frees you now.

Rivers of fear, don't you know? Vigil of faith stills you now.

You've been shown over and over, don't you know?

You've been shown over and over, don't you know?

  • The Doors + Paradise Lost.

  • 1:10....omg now try and tell me Isis weren't influenced by these guys.. :)

  • Of course they were.

  • @EtherealWaves they where, but that was a good thing! but i think that neurosis is more depressive.

isis is just plain fucking heavy.

  • dificil de explicar lo geniales que son estos tios

con ellos consigo concibir mi sueño!

  • Rivers of fears, don't you know?

  • is there anything i can buy and watch this video and others by neurosis on a big screen tv and listen to this?

  • The DVD "A Sun that never sets".

  • First time I saw these guys was when they opened for Pantera back in the 90's. Best show I ever went to bar none. Been a die hard fan ever since

  • neurosis reminds me of voivod a very good band too!

  • dope

  • STUFFFFFFFFFF

  • Haha, I don't think it's bad.

Maybe you aren't aware of how terrible music videos can be.

  • Amazing stuff, very unique.

  • I've been to thousands of shows it seems over the years. The best one was in 1996 I drove 10 hours to Lexington Kentucky (The Thunderdome) on a whim to see Biohazard. Neurosis opened the show and peoples jaws were on the floor the whole time.

Now with this newer stuff it's the same raw emotion - not many bands can make you smile and cry, make you want to kill and die at the same time. Even without the show, these guys bring something to music that's rare so don't pass it up.

  • @dripgoss fuck YA!

  • @dripgoss

Got damn, man that was simply some awesome f**king commentary! Excellently worded friend!!!

  • @dripgoss kill and die! Great Stuff! neurosis is reason enough to live.

  • @dripgoss well said... i wish they would make the effort to do australasia

  • i just got into these guys ...should have a long time ago though.

  • I listened to this abum on three bottles of delsym and 6 spliffs, and I could not handle the emotion within the songs. Neurosis is truly one of kind.

  • This song is so damn beautiful. Neurosis is one of the all time greats.

  • for those,who understand it

  • I dont think i can say enough great things about this band, their trippy dark thought provoking lyrics, their amazing song writing, i could go on forever but isntead im just gonna give this video a 5/5

  • i thought the same. i tried to get into neurosis afetr i had read about their big influence to isis.

about one and a half year i did not get into them. but then came this one "klick-moment ", afetr that i got into every album of them in just a few months. they are so great, but you have to put time into them. and DON'T lsiten to their songs, listen to an album!

btw. i think neurosis have no 3 min songs since 1990^^

  • i have a version of this that goes for like 9 minutes, is it like a 2 part song or something?

  • Comment removed

  • Neurosis, Cult of Luna, Isis, Tribes of Neuros. They all make me wanna go Armagheddon... :)

  • ten nuer zamiata mna ze no....

  • Neurosis is so great it hurts. it makes me sad that I will never see them live 'cuz I live in a third world country. I don't know why I torture myself watching their videos.

  • I could sit here for a week and not come up with the words to describe how much I am moved by Neurosis...my only regret is not getting into them sooner.

  • I feel that way about Neurosis too, an incredible band.

  • amazing colors

  • neurosis fuckin' own! This album makes my top 3!!!

1: Us And Them - Godflesh.

    2: Oceanic - Isis

3: A Sun That Never Sets - Neurosis

  • The ending of this song is epic... Like the last transmission of a planet facing obliteration.

  • OH YEAH!!!

  • I love Neurosis! I hope they plan a tour and come to Vancouver soon...
