Kristian, votre musique est simplement fabuleux et je l'apprécie énormément. Quel âge avez-vous maintenant ? J'espère que nous pouvons voir plus de vous sur YouTube et les compositions classiques passionnées que vous exécutez.
When did you start working on this piece & how long did it take you to memorize it & how old are you? I am really impressed with your technic & interpretation of this piece.
how can you say this piece is not technical? This is the combination of technique, passion and structure, it's one of the greatest compositions for piano at all times
Total agreement. Liszt, even in Un Sospiro and the other two of the Concert Etudes, was all about technique. Yes, indeed, passion and structure are too part of the equation of the sonata, but not the end all.
However, having played the piece myself, it's very pianistic - everything Liszt wrote is doable. I'm not a genius but learned it in two weeks. Albeit, this kid is indeed fantastic. He' s been given some great training, has practiced his bum off, and is a thrill to listen to.
I learned it in 3 days when I was 16 (a tempo and from memory), it means that I am a genius?
I think the most difficult thing of this Sonata is not the technique but the expression, because it is full of deep feelings. I think this is the greatest Sonata ever, does someone agree with me?
Outstanding, you have become quicker. The technique has improved since your earlier recordings. You are on the right track! I'm off to part two... 5*****
Thanks for putting this in your favorites, UncleNathan. This is how I discovered it. I agree. This is excellent playing for an 18 year old, or any age for that matter! Kristian, you have a phenomenal natural technique, but it seems that you are somewhat detached emotionally almost as if you were playing an easy minuet from the Anna Magdalena book. Just throw a little verve into it and you will have everyone beat!
@BachScholar I don't think Kristian is detached emotionally from the Liszt Sonata. I think that at the piano he shows a very calm, relaxed exterior and does not "choreograph" as much as some other pianists. Kristian is a very intellectual pianist and has thought about and decided on a whole range of issues. His playing, though, is very satisfying musically. At the same time, Cory, I appreciate and do not contradict the point you are making.

Hey, let's see everyone else play it! Okay, I think he is doing great. I like how he isn't overly emotional in his movement, it's very refreshing.
