I Have 2 Large mouth Bass in with my Koi, They dont bother them at all. I also Have a Channel catfish in there with them. I lost alot of my Large koi to a Giant Blue Herring this yr tho.

Love the pond! I have a question. We started our pond about 9 months ago and started with 14 koi and now we only have 7. Did they eat each other? We have a net over the pond so birds and frogs can't get in.

actually do they appear dead in the pond or do they disappear? cause if they appear dead in the pond it might be because there is not enough gallons per inch of koi

see koi fish need lots of room to swim around and if they dont hav that they get stressed and get really sensitive and die.

They are actually gone! hah. I have no clue. I mean at one point we had to remove the hiding places in the pond so it was completely empty, only fish, and there were just those 7. In the mornings sometimes I see frogs on top of the net so I'm guessing those are what ate the koi because the koi were small enough. Do you think?

Nice pond.....I heard you say their were some feeder gold fish in the pond...Do Koi eat smaller fish? Do they also eat their small Koi hatchlings. ? Again really good video on ponds.

I started the pond several years ago with feeder goldfish.....12 for a buck. They help "cycle" the pond......

I have some blue gill in the pond to handle "crowd control"......:)

Nice. I sent this video to my husband. This is what he dreams of. Ours is very small with 3 Koi in it. I think he wants to do bigger and better.
