  • i just lost some trust in the E.R.

  • Wow. crazy doctors. It's why they call it practicing medicine.

  • i have absolutely nothing to complain about, just wow.

  • o_o You don't tell a little girl that you're giving her away! That'll make her more scared! Tell her "This kind man is going to make that nasty bump go away, and then you'll feel better" or something positive like that...

  • no lie she is pretty

  • for some reson i like these metical shows

  • @cupcakezebra101 Me too!

  • there was a man with FOP who died. his incredible skeleton in a museum.

  • It's so sad to see people living through this, god bless.

  • that kid looks like a creepy doll in the thumbnail

  • Comment removed

  • these guys need Dr. House

  • omg sad

  • if they had only discovered it much earlier, the arm might have been saved, if diagnosis was @ an earlier stage while the tumor was still small. Good luck Ashley.

  • wait... so she got her arm taken off foe no reason at all? that bites... :(

  • What i don't understand is the fact that she went into surgery for a biopsy. which is simply collecting a sample of tissue for further analysis. So why did they go from biopsy to full on amputation surgery?! BS man, this lil girl was mauled by a "doctor", plain and simple.

  • @yes333yes She had a biopsy, went home, came back AFTER the results told them what it was for another surgery to take out the muscle in her shoulder/arm. Turned out she needed the whole thing taken off. You should watch it fully before you assume things.

  • @brionycc I now understand all that after I watch another vid on her, and I did watch the whole thing. I simply misunderstood. You shouldn't make assumptions, they make an ass of you, ever heard that!? With that said you assumed I didn't watch the whole thing, spelled it out for you cause you clearly missed that.

  • That's the sadest thing ever! You are brave! Keep going

  • I can't believe it, right when I saw that big toe I knew what this disease was! I knew what this was from looking at the top 10 rarest diseases awhile back..

  • I dont understand how muscle turns into bone...

  • @CurryBiskit The genetic sequence is modified in the womb... Nothing her real mother did, or her adopted ones. Calcium, in a way, can also be sort of used as a back up plan for your body as well. A womans body discovered a miscarried child in her womb, mistook it as a growth or virus, and covered it in many layers of calcium.

  • @CurryBiskit cartilage is what turns into bone, not muscle. The gene sequence has ben mutated and now bone is growing where cartilage would usually be.

  • poor girl

  • oh gosh, i feel so bad for her :(

  • she was on the tyra banks show a while ago, shes such a trooper.

  • I feel so sorry for her! It makes me want to cry. I hope they find a cure for it. Best of luck and fingers crossed!

  • To everyone calling her a freak,if that was you you wouldn't want to be called a ''freak.'' Do people literally don't care about others peoples feelings .Listen to me , I hate people like that I know that people might be like oh shut up what do you know this all I got to say HAVE A HEART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • doctors are wrong 50 percent of the time.

  • Omg :'(

    That's so sad.

  • @1989jolle

that makes you a sadist. maybe even a pychopath.

    congrats!

  • @Bigpussycat5 Awesome!! Where's my psychopath diploma?

  • @1989jolle thats really sick.

  • @1989jolle that's very disgusting that you would say something like that. Shame on you.

  • @momokada12 Why? Because my sense of humor is alittle bit away of from the normal "a man walks into a bar" jokes?

  • fob

  • It is so strange to me that people actually take the effort to post things for the sole purpose of discouraging or hurting others. This girl and her family have experienced such tragedy and yet some people strive to worsen it. We are HUMANS not animals. We have emotions and intellect that animals do not. It should be a celebration that someone disabled still has a desire to live. Humans also have the ability to love, but from a lot these comments you wouldn't know it. *tear*

  • @howekg So you are saying that Animals dont have emotionals or intellect? That is quite wrong to say.

  • @lordhanzen They do not have them like humans do.

  • @howekg yes they do hit an animal it will fear you and be sad if it once loved you animals feel everything we do they just have more of a survival instinct

  • @lordhanzen To say that animals don't have emotions or intellect is in fact quite accurate. Their emotions are VASTLY primitive, and is for the most of the animal kingdom, restricted to fear and non-fear. Most social animals do have a more complex emotional range, though not by much. As for intellect, the only ones that have intellect than us, are other great apes. So don't claim "that is quite wrong to say", when @howekg was actually quite right.

  • @BillHicks420 I think that is wrong, that they dont have emotion or intellect is wrong. Animals cant express theire emotions the same way as we can, but they still have emotions the same way we do.

  • @lordhanzen No, the fact is that they do not. Their brain is not large enough, they don't have the same emotional capabilities or brain centers as we and the greater apes do. What you THINK is completely irrelevant.

  • @BillHicks420 andrews-elephants . com/elephant-emotions-grieving.html

Sure they dont have emotions because theire brain are too small.

  • @BillHicks420 As for theire intellect, its alot higher than what most people can expect, its not low at all, probably the apes have the highest, but i wont say that any other animal have low intellec

  • @lordhanzen Not only do they have LOW intellect, they don't have ANY intellect at all.

    From Meriam-Webster dictionary online:

    Intellect:

a : the power of knowing as distinguished from the power to feel and to will : the capacity for knowledge

b : the capacity for rational or intelligent thought especially when highly developed

Nope, animals do not have knowledge or rationality. They operate on instinct. Dogs for example, don't KNOW, they react based on classical conditioning.

  • that is a very obsolete form of thought that. there have been studies that pretty much proved beyond doubt that certain animals (monkeys in this case) can learn and even develop a culture of their own. i don't recall the study very well but it was something like, a monkey that learned to peel bananas before eating was inserted in a group of others who never did that, and with time they all adapted and eventually developed a "culture" of always peeling the bananas.

  • @DarkCrono100 Like I noted, apes do have culture and a social structure. For most animals though, their "knowledge" is limited to conditioning. Some animals learn to use tools, and communicate etc. but this is not part of intellectual in the same sense as humans. Also part of the definition was "the capacity for rational or intelligent thought especially when highly developed", which without a doubt, no one can do except the great apes.

  • @DarkCrono100 I heard about that. National Geographic did a segment on it. They said that they even had social classes based on looks and behavior. Pretty astounding.

  • @lordhanzen I couldn't agree with you more.

  • @lordhanzen

Animals don't have intellect, but they certainly have emotion.

  • poor baby :(

  • Doctors should use the internet more!

  • @spotlightman1234 tell them then, go back 20 years -.- idiot

  • @sweetheart7394 I'm talking about doctors today, because this kind of thing happens too often. Doctors that think they know everything and end up misdiagnosing people.

  • So sad *cry cry..*

  • Try being born with Rhabdomyasarcoma in the left spit gland, starting chem/radiation at 3 weeks...

I got a screwed up face, will stay 4 ft 7 for the rest of my life & possibly be sterile!!! Not to mention putting up with ignorant stupid kids/adults who are dumber than a rock. So shut up about freaks, outsiders, burning, and shit that belongs in the GUTTER!!!

  • that lil' girl in one heck of an actress

  • Well, she's my hero. <3

  • Unfortunately, there will most likely not be a "cure" for this disease, not in her lifetime. Hopefully some new drug will come along to slow down the progression though.

  • OH SH** THAT PART ON THE EXOSKELETON SCARED ME ALOT.

  • SCARY REALLY. poor girl really no arm? is she a leftie? i hopr she is so she can right :)

  • no arm thats so sad :(

  • Thats so depressing, imagine her waking up with no arm after this surgery. Oh God.

  • well done Ashley, parents and doctors

  • @unicycle7117 The surgeon failed massively when an operation intended to remove a benign tumor ended up in an amputation, there's nothing well done about that. I hope he got sued.

  • my god, this is my worst nightmare, adopting a child with horrible problems :(

  • I had the honor to meet Ashley and her Mom Carol at their home in 2009. Ashley lives her life to her words "just live with it". Love ya Ashley

  • Oh shit,...this relly made me cry. ..cut little girls arm off..thats so........wrong...

  • How the hell did i get here??? Does anybody have a YouTube GPS??

  • SPOILER- dont look to the recommended videos

  • @passionsinging101 the part of the video that your refering to was a reinactment. The child you saw flapping her arms wasn't really ashley.

  • I'm confused because whe Ashley tries to push the elevator button, she cannot raise her arm because it is too painful, but when her mom was on the phone when the doctor said she had F.O.P Ashley was in the background playing with a toy and clearly raising her arm with ease and without even flinching from any pain whatsoever.

  • @passionsinging101 that was a kid actress not actually her. Part of this had to be reenactment of course.

  • @passionsinging101 The video footage of Ashley as a child is re-enacted at an actor for the documentary.

  • This is leading into that weird part of youtube quickly....

  • :(

  • poor kid :(

  • what channel is this show on i used to watch it but forgot the channel! does anyone know!

  • @sarahdontsuck i used to watch it on TLC but it dont play no more so i try to watch it on here lol but mayby it plays on discovery healt i think

  • @selenafan4ever131 it plays on the OWN channel now too

  • @CupcakezRViolence ok thx for telling me :)

  • she is beautiful <3

  • @jhonen32629 That's not necessary. Stupid and ignorant of course, but not mentally disabled. That's insulting to those that actually have mental disabilities.

  • The skeleton shown at 16:59 is very disturbing to look at.

  • Lets hope for one day there'll be a cure for such horrible diseases.

No, she is not a freak of nature,

No she does NOT need to be burned.

She is a regular human being,

    Like you and me.

  • @TheFIsForCOOKIES

    Freak-

    1. A thing or occurrence that is markedly unusual or irregular: A freak of nature produced the midsummer snow.

    2. An abnormally formed organism, especially a person or animal regarded as a curiosity or monstrosity

That's the exact definition. Look it up.

Yes she is a 'freak of nature', and no she is not 'regular'. Why do you have to tell lies? Being a freak doesn't mean that this girl isn't a cool person, but you don't have the sugarcoat the fact.

  • @HumanoidSparky

It's still a derogatory term to disabled people

do you also use the word "Negro" when talking about black people?

  • @Ofir84 Oh please. Everything's a derogatory term to disabled people. They don't even like being called disabled! Now days they expect us to call them "differently abled". Differently abled to do what? Disguise bitterness for offence?

  • @HumanoidSparky

well.. they aren't disabled. disabled is a word that was put upon them, not that they chose. shouldn't they be able to call themselves what they like, and shouldn't we respect them by using the word they choose?

realize that you're just a bigot by saying that.

  • @310BPM Sure. I would like to be called Dr. Busty McSmarts, but i'm not going to get offended if people call me by my given name instead of my self-proclaimed one.

In the real world people give other people names. We define certain aspects and characteristics by said name to make life easier.

I am an asshole, and that suits me fine. I'm not going to ask people to call me something else. If disabled people really want to be treated equally (as they claim) then they should get used to this fact.

  • @310BPM Also, I noticed you called me a bigot. I am deeply offended by that. I did not choose that name, your people of deep sensitivity did. Going by your theory, I should be allowed to be called what I choose (insensitive realist), and you should not refer to me in such derogatory statements.

  • @TheFIsForCOOKIES No , she isnt regular she is a completely unique human who is still just as normal as you and i

  • @TheFIsForCOOKIES well she's not THAT normal

  • Guess we'll see whether theres a God. Theres enough evidence for me not to take MY chances. God bless.

  • @NerdyCast you mean the bible?

  • @Rawr5649 Mainly logical reasoning behind events such as the resurrection of Jesus, as well as miracles and unexplained events such as the Shroud of Turin and the Tilma.

  • @NerdyCast unexplained events, miracles and "logical reasoning behind resurrection" does not equate to undeniable evidence. It certainly would not hold up in court. I'm for what works in peoples lives. Faith is good for some people and I never try to discourage it, but there will never be facts regarding the issue and wish people would just be ok with that.

  • @aghahowa11

I hope u burn in hell u fuckin piece of shit

  • thumbs up if you checked your toes O.O

  • I'm so sorry, she's suha sweet little girl ;) good luck sweetie

  • It's horrible to see what a small error in DNA can do... :(

  • why do i watch these videos?? @_@

  • I fell very sorry for her

  • @aghahowa11

    You're a monster!

If you ever get crippled I'll laugh in your face just before you kiss my ass because there is no love for you in this world.

  • Poor Ashley

  • @aghahowa11 you're a bad person. good luck with the karma that's about to hit u like a truck.

  • @AllieeNB Excuse me alieen karma is the result these kids are deformed, dont talk about karma coming to me, i been decent man and respected others, if you believe in Karma you know why these people are deformed cos of their previously lives, Hope you understand babe

  • @aghahowa11 lol if Hitler was alive he would also murder f-ugly lame asses like you ;D

  • @aghahowa11 Fuckin douche bag...

  • @aghahowa11 you heartless fucker.i wish more peapore cared about these children. think about what you said. imagenen living with fop. one of my couzens have Williams syndrome and my mom has a autoimmune disease.i find what you said very offensive!

  • @TheRyanslions my question to you young sir is, if your mother and cousin disappeared surely less stress for you and others, basically less burden, my point is why keep the seriously diseased alive, thier death is both good for all themselves included,

  • @aghahowa11 my couzin wants to live. she loves life. some of the disabled guys and girls love life.they make the most of every day and we love our disabled relatives. as a family we would be sadder and more stressed if they went away. i hope you understand what i am trying to say

  • @TheRyanslions Your cousin wants to live but she cannot live to the best a human can, what a shame, anyway if i was crippled id kill myself instead of being a burden on others

  • @aghahowa11 you internet chicken shit. Post a video of you telling that to your family if you're so brave.

  • @aghahowa11 piece of crap you probably have no life then

  • @rosewaterfallprod shut up cupcake, how can u judge my life atleast i have legs to walk on , unlike this crippled girl, why dont u tell this girl with fop she dont have a life instead of bothering able ppl like me, now get lost cupcake

  • @aghahowa11 well imagine if YOU were that girl, now stop being selfish at least i care about crippled ppl and don't tell me to shut up and NOPE i'd never tell her that she has no life cuz she does, u don't bcause your just wasting your time being mean to cripples! (i think i'm wasting my time too)

  • @rosewaterfallprod ok fair point mwah im sorry

  • @aghahowa11 I'm disabled and morons like you made me suicidal when I was a kid. Now I'm a 4.0 honors student in college, so my body may be useless but at least my brain isn't, unlike yours!

  • @iluvwanesworld Well in your case, i admire you, even with your disability you beaten me in education, I do admire you as i dont see many disable people who suceed. im 25 male uk where u from cupcake? what type of disablity do you have, I doubt you have a serve disablity

  • @aghahowa11 I'm only 19 and I'm from the good ol' USA! I have Cerebral Palsy, which makes my muscles extremely tight, as well as being deaf in my left ear and near sighted. However, being intelligent doesn't give me anymore of a reason to live than a more severely disabled person. Just because they may not be able to function the same way you do doesn't mean they deserve to die.

  • @aghahowa11 People who are mentally challenged develop other areas in their brain allowing them to excel at music or other talents. I have a friend in a wheelchair who is a genius and another autistic friend who creates video games. You shouldn't judge people by how they look. Like I said people like you made me suicidal. What if I hadn't lived to go to college? Please think next time before you speak. As my Asian English teacher used to say I forgive you, God bless you, I see you in hell lol

  • @iluvwanesworld Sweet you claim i made you suicidal thats lies, im sure it wasnt me who made you suicidal, anyhow i apologize for my comments i just dont care what others do now or what they look like. you believe in hell ha ha thats funny one babe cos I only wanted the crippled put to death to end thier suffering but you believe in hell which makes people suffer eternally! so who me or you is evil?

  • @aghahowa11 You totally misinterpreted my comment. I'm NOT suicidal, and you didn't make me suicidal, it was bullies who I dealt with as a child. However, I was concerned for other disabled people who are hurt by your negative comments.

  • @aghahowa11 When I wrote see you in hell, I wrote laugh out loud after it, meaning it was intended to be a joke. As far as which one of us is evil, you should reread your first comment where you cursed God and said cripples deserve to burn in an oven because they have no place on this planet. I said all I had to say. You need Jesus.

  • @iluvwanesworld lol alright sorry for my seriousness :) i donno if jesus exists but ur differently a sweetie mwah c ya

  • @iluvwanesworld

Here is another saying for you sweetheart.

"No one can make your feel inferior without your consent."

You should never let anyone get to you that badly. If someone doesn't like you for you then that is their problem. The next time you think of committing suicide you need to think about all the loved ones you will hurt. Not some little punk you meet somewhere.

  • @15:30 I would be so pissed at the doctor who ordered the amputation if this was the case.

  • You're awesome :) So glad you're happy and have an awesome family and friends

  • wow...thats weird...poor girl :(

  • Stop makin fun of tht girl she's in serious struggling and fighting off a diusis

  • Some of you ass holes will make fun of her but what would you feel if that was you

  • thats not a lump, thats a freakin goose egg

  • isnt it cerebral palsy?

  • All these videos of deformed kids are very sad, they make you grateful that you don't have much wrong with you, but also scared that your kids will grow up different.

  • @1998leigh2

Oh my god.. I never thought of it that way.

  • @1998leigh2 true..

  • Comment removed

  • @1998leigh2 13-year-olds aren't supposed to worry about their kids that they won't have for another 10 years at least.

  • @noreason2701 Sometimes I like to think. Is that such a crime? No.

  • wow... what a brave girl!

  • -gulp- O.O

  • Wow..don't give up !! Keep being that fighter the doctor says u r

  • your amazing i love you! i want to meet you and become your friend, your my hero. i love this and how it shows people that everyones different and everyones beautiful

  • @madilovejustinbieber .. Thanks! Add me to facebook! :-)

  • You are my hero! Keep fighting :)

  • omg u is da bravest girl i evr saw 3 cheers 4 her

  • wow she has a great attitude! ...the arm aputation wasn't totally a loss since she wouldn't really be able to use that arm anyway.. (maybe I'm just trying to make myself feel better about it)

  • We had a girl in my high school who had F.O.P. She was perminently in a romote control wheelchair and she lost mobility in her elbows and legs, and i think her neck.

  • @NinjaStarfish94 ... What's her name?? I may know her!!

  • @OABC30269 Oooo, god i cant remember, began with a K maybe?? Cant be sure though

  • @OABC30269 Correction, sorry, not a K, her names 'Megan Sanderson'
