Derek Lowe of the Atlanta Braves.
4 Years/$60M Contract for a #3 starter at best. Hasn't had an ERA below 4.00 since he got here. Also:
Kenshin Kawakami of the Atlanta Braves. 3 Years at $6.7M per year for a guy who started half of the season, and went 1-9 with an ERA of over 5.00, and is now in the minor leagues.

@Jherd12 "the best outfielder at playing off the wall balls" OK, but since he's not in Boston anymore why would that matter? He's old, his range in the outfield has gone WAY down, his production at the plate has gone WAY down, and he doesn't even play everyday anymore. He's not a great option in LF anymore.
And I say all this as a longtime Red Sox fan.

Where's Brett Favre on this list? $16 million for a 40 year old quarterback with more INT's than touchdowns on a 4-7 team limping towards the end of his career? He would have already been benched if not for his consecutive starts streak. I know he's a hall-of-famer to be, but he still belongs on this list.

I agree but, you can't blame the athletes the owner's are the ones who are paying them. If someone offered YOU $100 million to do what you do,you will take it.
Also remember, some contracts are not guaranteed.
