  • Wow I had it on low and I needed ear protection!-Miss the 80s and this great music! Rockin with Dokken!

  • Why the fuck did Don smoke so much and continues do it?! damn it, Dokken's my favorite band but Don's voice has really been down in these last years...

  • dude when lynch is playing a solo i don't need to fucking see the bassplayer!

  • That´s one of the best guitar riffs ever. Period.

  • I heard they blew Aerosmith off the stage

  • Comment removed

  • Don Dokken, vocalist extraordinaire.

    George Lynch, guitar virtuoso.

    Mick Brown, manic drum-basher.

Jeff Pilson.... uhh,,, king of fairy ballerinas?

  • @Jaserace1 Lol Jeff Pilson is the most talented guy in the band ,He plays24 instruments and is a great vocalist

  • Too bad Don can't hit those high notes anymore. well maybe he can after throat surgery.

  • @tvscaf actually, now it's gotten even worse after the surgery

  • some of lynch's riffs were razor sharp double edged sword....ya don't wanna fuck with him.....

  • What a faggot Jeff Pilson was ...... hahahahahaaaaaaaa !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Rokken with Dokken

  • what people today dont realize about the 80s was even the crap music was good, pop ect.you use to have to have a voice, technology murdered that shit.any turd with a vocoder can sing now.dokken by themselves destroys 99.9 of modern rock and most metal, all the pop period.thats just one band.green day, nickel back, disturbed, seether, hinder, and er could pay my way and give me passes and shit,id tell them to suck my dick those fags would try to and id whip theyre ass and go to a ratt, dokken show.

  • DON'T FUCK with the 80's mothafuckers!

  • Don's voice is Mindblowing! George's guitar skills & tone are Suhweeeeeeet!

  • Awsome F%$#@#$#in Video....Thanks host

  • i saw an interview with randy rhoads, he said in some degree - george lynch was the one to watch, and it was fucking true man.....

    DOKKEN FUCKIN RULLLLLLLLESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

  • I saw the tour's stop in Richmond. They opened for Aerosmith. Blew them off the stage!

  • THE SPECTRUM!!! I was there!

  • great

  • Whenever I "NEED" to get back to that which makes music worthwhile,,, I hit this shit loud, balls to the walls, take no fuckin' prisoners!!! What the fuck happened to bands like this? Performances like this? CONCERTS LIKE THIS?

  • @SilverByte69 You can blame the recording industry for turning their backs on bands like this for grunge...a musical trend.

  • Awesome quality - this is how I like to remember Dokken...

  • CAMERA CREW I HOPE U BURN IN HELL!!!!

  • Tama made some of the baddest drum rigs in the 80's. i love that set.

  • LYNCH É UM MONSTRO!!!!!!!O MELHOR DO HARD ROCK JUNTO COM VAN HALEN!!!!!!!

  • George kicks ass on this song, killer ...

  • One of George Lynch's best solos...oh I just that on another Dokken tune...well there are simply too many great Dokken songs!!!

  • I think whoever filmed this video was majorly in love with Jeff Pilson. Oh well, it's all good!

  • @Memoryburst Wasn't it you that fell in love withe female poses of Jeff? Those were the days...

  • is he using an effect for his lead? if so what kind? anybody know?

  • Rokken With Dokken!! George is the best!

  • Lynch was true metal, DeMartini was more a pop glammer. Lynch was the best of his generation

  • Don was drunk as hell here

  • Why not zoom at Jeff Pilson. He's a singer and a good one too. I admire Don but Jeff singing on the unplugged version of "Just got Lucky", huh?

  • @lukemanify yes jeff is a very good singer

  • It sounds monstar!

  • Lynch was the "Ripper Guitarist" of this era for sure. He is the missing link from the old style to the new style of playing. Tremendous sound seperation. These live 87 recordings don't represent his true live sound in an arena setting. Missing is the low end crunch that he had with the razor edged attack. If you were not there in 86' and 87' well not everything about being old is a bad thing

  • @sharkbytz George Lynch was strongly influenced by Michael Schenker's "old school" and EVH's "new school". Really good mix! Warren DeMartini was the same case.

  • Back For The Attack is my favorite Dokken album hands down.

  • el medio tema

  • isn't this player from STEEL DRAGON?

  • halford 3256 speaks the truth

  • Don never had a "live " voice....hes not a rock singer...hes a top 40 singer listen to his solo stuff...the attraction was his melodic tone and the crunch of Lych..a great contrast...Watch the Hearing Aid video...DIO was all over his shit...

  • operation at don dokken for his voice.. stop for tree month

  • RIP Don Dokken's voice. The new guitarist is quite talented, but I got into the band because of George's style of playing. Its what attracted me. It seems hollow without him.

  • Dokken are a very talented band

  • by the way that "fill in" he was not able to play properly in 2 12 was awsome =P-.--

  • @guitarralaraja btw play some fast arpeggiated stuff will not take you anywhere pal! you re not creative nor original, youre just 1 in 1million here on youtube, just a little older, a little balder...

  • Set my time machine to 1987!

  • George is a great player but man, his tone sucks.

  • i have a question, but plz someone answer me without fighting just explain..

what do you mean when you say best solo ever ? to be honet i think the solo its prety plain and simple, that's why i want to understand it

    regards

  • @guitarralaraja Best solo is the solo that you like the most. Best song is the song that you like that most. Best guitarist is the guitarist that you like that most ... and so on.

It's just a matter of opinion, if you ask me. There is no true answer to that kind of question ;)

  • @guitarralaraja You seem sincere so what the heck. The solo is very memorable as per melodics/ Extremely difficult/ the guitarists efforts and just plain what you like. Personally this totally rocks but is not my fav solo...I dont actually have a favorite but there are 5 I like. Usually brings up bullshit arguments if you list them. Hope this helps.

  • @guitarralaraja I understand you're stuped, just by seeing your name.

  • @GLAMJOKER if you say so that ok=) hahahahaha

cool arguments man you must be under 18..

  • @guitarralaraja I am, and I play better than you already!

  • @GLAMJOKER =s

thast's impossble i dont have any videos of me playing =s...

  • @guitarralaraja It´s spelled "that's", and really?!?! so who's playing "the reaper is comin" you grandma?!

  • @GLAMJOKER hahahahahaha cool argument, man this is INTERNET, AND YOUTUBE...not a grammar lesson =s... oh man!! now im sure you are under 15!!

the reaper is coming=s you did not read the description..i was not playing it....

    maybe you cannot read..

  • @guitarralaraja Yeah aint got time to read your stuped description, now dont bug me anymore....aint got time to deal with grandmas who think theyre great at guitar, and say George sucks....

    GEORGE LYNCH´s THE BEST!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Man, he started out ok, but couldn't sing the whole song. Poor Don...

  • grorge is god

  • to bad Don never realized what kind of talent he had playing guitar.

  • Lynch is a fucking beast.......nuff said.

  • Dokken in their best times....

  • Lynch is sick!!!!

  • The band was really rollin here... And Don's voice was still great... This is them probably at the top of there game.... Great post.. ( would love to see this on DVD.. )

  • opening for Aerosmith?

  • This is a great studio song for sure, but live it blows. I've seen Don Dokken sing 4 different shows and frankly , live he just sucks. These vocals sound horrible.

  • Dokken favorite band of the 80's,saw these guys like 5 times, great songwriters, musicians, they stunk everytime i saw them live though, stunk when i saw them with aerosmith permanet vacation tour, and stunk when i saw them with dio and ratt, mick brown's drums snare were wound all tight like you hear in this video, george and don never found the timing of the songs.Best money i ever spent for live show's were ac/dc and dio =sounds just like record.

  • i love all of Dokken songs, but this one is specially amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Dokken, 80's hair metal at it's best!!!

  • fucking badass solo

  • @Alejandro1313sixx ....No shit, the owner of this needs to re-edit using George's camera(I'm guessing they used 3 or 4 cameras) footage for us to actually SEE one of the coolest solos around played by one of the coolest guitarist around.

  • jeff pilson is pretty dorky in his heyday.

  • always loved lynch's animalitic guitar

  • Good damm it i fucking hate it when the guitarist solos and the camera guy is filming everything but him!!! its so stupid, why is he filming the bass player and equipment?????? but anyways George RULEZ

  • @Alejandro1313sixx well i'm glad you like George Lynch and he was the nucleus of Dokken but there are other members in the band besides him

  • @Alejandro1313sixx goodbye spectrum! That was where they were playing probably...lotsa memories. If anyone has any Anthrax opening for Iron Maiden from 91 at the philadelphia spectrum that would awesome. or Metallica and Ozzy 1985.

  • @Alejandro1313sixx i was thinking the same thing. lol.

  • @Alejandro1313sixx Cause camera men dont know what a guitar solo is.

  • @Alejandro1313sixx its not the camera guy's fault. notice that they were shooting multiple angles at the same time which means the camera guy did film the whole solo. the blame should be taken on the dipshit who edited this.

  • @Alejandro1313sixx it's the editor, or if's a live cut then its the director. not the camera operator's fault.

  • Wow. I've never heard Don sound this good live. He was really on that night. This really shows live Dokken at their best. Thanks for posting!

  • i must say i am just starting to listen to dokken and always thought g.lynch sucked.but no hes pretty beast actully he rivals evh and rhoads in my book

  • Didn't George play Randall's for a bit in the 80's? Anyone remember if he did?

  • @Raminator5651 he played Randall during the tooth and nail tour

  • I grew up on 80's metal, but i would love to sit down with some of these guys, and get thier reaction to the stage moves they made. Would they be as funny and embarrassing to them as they are to the rest of us?? WTF were you thinking, jeff??? Looks more like a jane fonda workout tape!!

  • yeah...

whoever said George sucks is clearly delusional beyond belief

    ignoramus's...

  • DON'S voice is like a mixture of Klaus Meine and John Sykes :D

  • 0:25 DUDE

  • george smokes this one...

    damn!

  • OMG I just love the white boots. They look so great when your prancing around the stage!

  • Dokken couldn't contain George Lynch....

  • @p0rkjell0 Lynch Mobb was ahead of it's time

  • Dude that Barry Sparks guy is an awesome bass player I saw him with UFO and he was really good

  • Wow... 4 dudes working all alone... don't see much camaraderie here... 4 dudes working hard but not as a team.... sheeesh.....

  • @box1467 Well after they got back from Japan when the tour was over all of them went diffrent ways but after Lynch Mob kinda failed they made up

  • I got to see this concert and it was totally incredible! They were on fire that night!!!

  • Wow, I saw Dokken in April, they played a great show. Don said, "Let's play some heavy Sh**", and they just exploded into this song. Awesome!!! Don can still sing, even though Don doesn't go to those high notes.

  • Is this song about aids?

  • they fucken rock!

  • Don hates to scream those high notes, it's like it's painful for him. But his voice was so strong back then!

  • saw Dokken in 84 with Dio,86 with Judas Priest,88 with Aerosmith,88 with Van Halen,95 with Bon Jovi and 03 with Scorpions, never sen them headline, always opening for somebodyelse.the one tour I remember them headlining was in 99 when they had Reb Beach on guitar and was out of town for a week when it came through town

  • man this is when they were really on their game! I want the rest of that concert!!!

  • I'm proud to be one of the few 18 year old females these days that actually listens to real music and metal like this. I can't stand most of the crap on the radio and tv today...LOL I'm talking like I'm old now. But the 80s were certainly a great time for music. I don't see the appeal to artists like Miley Cyrus or Lil Wayne at all, if they even deserve to be known as artists. -_-

  • This is the best Dokken Song!!!

  • for me he has one of the best hard rock voices

  • I think I was at this one. God I'm getting old. Lol. This might have been when they opened for Judas Priest. Turbo Lover tour was awesome.

  • @sirandy012 I remember Turbo tour as being in 1986 , that was my junior year of High School. I could be wrong though , it was many years and many brain cells ago. Weren't the 80's bitchin though !

  • the crowd is DEATH....

  • Don sounds great there, but someone tell George to tune his damned guitar!

  • I want George Lynch's signature guitar sooo bad! It's super expensive though, and they discontinued his $699 one.. bastards...

  • I suppose, they still WOULD have been booked to play a big venue in late 80s.

  • Where was this in Philly? Saw Maiden once, too.

  • most likely the Spectrum, at least that is what it looks like to me!

  • @mj718 The Spectrum. They opened up for Aerosmith. I was at this show and followed them to Providence RI, to see them again. After 20 + years I'm going to see them again this Friday, can't wait.

  • @lpc72 that's what I thought!!!! I am gonna miss that place when they tear it down!

  • awesome!!!!!

  • Lynch is ripping here! Too bad Don Dogshit can sing anymore...he sounds terrible now!!

  • @doingitwell420 yeah.. he was awesome...accent on "WAS" ...

  • Kudos to George Lynch!

  • this music is so good i wish i would have been alive in the 80's im 20 now and will jammin hair metal forever im in a rock n roll hair metal band i wish this music was back in the top twenty music stuff

  • I grew up in the 80s, but didn't come of age till the 90s. Couldn't have attended this concert in Philly but about 10 yrs, I went to the Electric Factory to see L.A. Guns, Warrant, Winger, Dokken et al, and it was a total blowout. Thought I'd never have another opportunity to ever see these guys, still reeling from seeing them all like together like that.

  • @reska200 that would be such an awsome show i want to see winger i got to see motley crue , dokken (with john levins on guitar) poison and sabastian bach

  • DOKKEN ROCKS 4EVER!!!!!!!!

  • One of their more up-tempo tunes... good stuff.

Lynch with the cruch -n- chirp. Drums sound tight... bass is just there, 'cuz glam never bet on the bottom line,,,

Wonder why DD's voice is so *dry* ? Perhaps this is a mix direct from board ?

Dig that wall of fake Marshall Cabs ! Can U say Priest ? or Maiden ? ha ha ha ha

  • AMEN!!

I was really bummed out when metal died in the early 90's falling to pussy ( alternative rock) bands like Nirvanna. What Zeppelin started in 69 died when metal died in the early 90's.Hopefully more of the younger generation will realize what the 16 yr old poster below did.

  • I love you. Lol Everything you just said was AWESOME. :D

  • dude you couldnt have said that any better

  • Sabbath started metal, Zeppelin advanced it, Van Halen started Hair Metal, and Nirvana started Grunge. I love grunge but it shouldn't have shunted hair rock like it did

  • zeppelin didnt advance metal, van halen didnt start hair metal and nirvana didnt start grunge bud, better do some more research

  • the good ole days !!!!! *****

  • Don's voice is shot now! It's too bad he was EXCELLENT in the 80's. Also "Up From The Ashes" album ROCKS!!

  • Every time I've seen them [4] Don has been shit faced drunk.

    Mick was good though.

    OUT

  • as much as i love don dokken i wish he'd do sumthin on stage he just stands on the spot, thank god for jeff pilson lol.

  • Don could still hit those notes back then. George is great, one of rocks best guitarists ever.

  • As bad ass they are and they opened up for aerosmith? FUCK THAT.!!!! dokken is bad ass

  • George Lynch is ON FIRE!!!!!!!

  • im 16 and live for 80s metal, i really hope one day this style of music makes a comeback

  • dude so do I, the only way thats gonna happen though is if your generation grow your hair and get into a band, so do it man and we'll all benefit. peace brother.

  • Perfection!

  • that iz indeed a major case guitarist. but the drumz rock me az well.

  • that bass player must stretch a lot

  • Lynch is a god leering over that fretboard...

  • lynch nailed this one !!!!

  • I've always heard about dokken. I knew about them just never got into they're music. First song i heard was "Alone Again". That song kicked ass, then i heard this song and it blew my mind. ROCK ON!!!!!!

  • @twoo57

Dude check out Don Dokken's solo Album, "Up From the Ashes" that CD rules!! its pure bad ass

  • I Love this tune!! Dons voice still kicks ass!! Love it!!

  • Best solo ever!!!!

  • One of the few bands from this era that you can play their music on ANY rock radio and it still stands up!

    ROKKEN WITH DOKKEN SINCE 85!!!!

  • Like to have this on dvd...saw them in this tour with areosmith i do believe...I think some if the younger people are figureing out these bands where not about hair..they kicked ass live and purley rocked..These bands now like fallout boy are whimps!! they couldnt handle the road life these guys and other bands from the era had to endure yet they still performed 100%,,,,,

  • What can I Say about Dokken but you always Be Rocking With Dokken, I Was @ that Show got Laid !!!

  • Orgasmic tone!

  • God a rythim guitar would have made that amazing solo sound so much better and the whole more live! God I love 80s metal

  • I wish i could have been alive during all the GOOD bands time...Im only 15 years old, and I get so sad cuz all the bands I like are not together anymore :(

DOKKEN is in with the favorite favortites :)

  • Same here man.. im 14 and wishing i was alive during the 80's ugh. i love dokken.. and im a big iron maiden fan D:

  • I like maiden to..but i get bashed alot for it.People think its funny that since Im a girl, and I have a huge fetish for REAL rock and roll..lol

  • @spurkayy i love girls that are rockers.hard to find.

  • A fetish for Rock and Roll is a damn good thing. Rock on, Sista!

And YES Iron Maiden kicks ass like old Dokken...

  • @spurkayy its all about what you like !!! and sounds to me like you got great taste !!

  • @spurkayy

Where were you when I was 16?

  • @TheNovaAxon Lol. I wasn't anywhere. I'm 16 now. lol.

  • @spurkayy who gives a shit what people think. You listen to what your heart tells you. Real Rock rocks :)

  • @spurkayy Maiden is bad Ass and still is you Rock on Girl.

  • @spurkayy good for you girl!

  • @spurkayy Good, stay that way ;) Nothing wrong with liking real music instead of this fake stale regurgitated crap that passes for rock today.

  • @spurkayy - There's nothing wrong with a girl having a fetish for real rock n roll. I play "real rock n roll", ala Maiden, and I plan to have a girl singer fronting my band. Check out the tunes.

  • Yep. The late 80's/early 90's concerts and music in general were the best! I hope 80's and 90's rock makes a comeback before all those great musicians are gone forever! I remember seeing Dokken, Van Halen and many others in Dallas during the Mosters of Rock tour when I was like 17 or 18! Had a hard on for two days straight after walking out of that inferno!!!!!

  • Are you kidding. The video gets 5 stars just for the shades and the great quitar playing. Better than the shameful shit thats released nowdays. So glad I'm old as shit and was able to enjoy that era as a teen. I want my MTV!!!

  • Me too

  • a sounds of long ago. back when don still had a voice and everyone had big hair!
