  • It might just be the wheel gone out of line a little, or the hub axle has rotated a bit in the dropouts... Check these first. There are some copies of the old 80's videos turning up on eBay now, converted to dvd.. I have one, covering 3 & 5 speed hubs. Well worthwhile...;-)

  • thats funny, on my older 3 speed hub it has the cable and you adjust it by twiting it.

    I've just had a new hub installed - my previous one was an X-RK 8speed from a bike made in 2008. I rode it just under 1200km through the streets of fairly flat London and then it broke. The new version is an X-RK8 (w) and makes a horrible noise (see attached video)... is that normal? Please tell me it isn't! These hubs are silent while pedalling forward, aren't they?
