  • Hey look, GEORGE WEASLEY!

  • I was wondering where I ripped this joke off from *blush* :-D

  • Nine people do not have funny bones.

  • the title implied something entirely different to the actual sketch

  • Look at this, howcast!

  • Never seen this one before! Crying!

  • Eric Idle's "boobs" are uneven lol

  • So sad Chapman and that dog are long gone.

  • I likee

  • Oh dear... I thought that was a real woman until he started talking lol

  • 8 people don't know how to do it.

  • I learned so much!

  • Does anyone know whether this was a parody of a specific TV program or just another one of their brilliant off-the-cuff ideas? I love the addition of that ginormous dog.

  • @kayper54 "Blue Peter" was (and still is) a BBC children's program... check out their "elephant" episode on here.

  • @feraldarryl Oh, OK. I've never seen Blue Peter but I am familiar with it. Thx much!

  • @kayper54 Blue Peter, a long running children's programme on BBC!

  • @manygate10 Thank you! :)

  • @manygate10 Hm, now I wonder why the show is called "Blue Peter." Is there are character called Blue Peter? I'm afraid it isn't among the British shows we get on BBCAmerica so I know nothing about it.

  • @kayper54 'Blue Peter' is the name of a flag flown by a ship about to leave port. Why it was thought suitable for a children's programme isn't especially obvious, but that's what the BBC thought. As the show has been running for about 50 years, I don't expect there are a lot of people around now who know the rationale for the original name.

  • That is a big dog.

  • @bigfatAMERCANbastard Ha-ha. Generic anti-conservative blather. Meanwhile, Team Obama has handled Iran, Egypt, Syria, Libya, et. al. with aplomb.

  • I bet these characters are Libertarian !

  • @dagensvisa more likely Ivy league PHDs

  • DRAGONS

  • Eric Idle played women so well because he didn't exaggerate. He seemed to understand that the differences between men and women are subtle, not big and broad; he barely made his speaking voice any higher. As a result he plays women wonderfully and doesn't come off in the least like a cross-dresser or caricature.

  • @Himaryous no, he actually played women so well because he was the most feminine of the pythons (higher voice and not very solid body)

  • @6020e3 That certainly helps but it's not a substitute for good acting. ;)

  • I swear I want to intro my engineering class with a sketch like this.

  • Funny as hell, yet such an accurate depiction of our educational industry today.

  • but wait they did'nt show us how to split an atom!!!

  • @gmodman1701 @xXxLovEMasTerxXx911 They didnt show us how to do anything, that was the joke

  • @comanchio1976 And so was the comment.

  • @gmodman1701 it was after the commercial break :P

  • how to even up jackies tits?

  • They haven't shown us how to split an atom yet!

  • Maybe Eric needs to learn how to grow another boob

  • How to play the flute? How to irrigate the Sahara desert? How to split an atom? All of these are obviously sexual euphemisms. That's how you do it.

  • What's going on with Eric's tits?

  • For me, this is when, by series 3, Python was scraping the barrel for material. Though 80% of the series is still brilliant

  • But how do i split an atom!?

  • @Shalor93 You cut it with a knife

  • All these "How To's" and yet, not a single tip on How to Irritate People (Hint, Hint!).

  • jackie's tits are kinda... on the lopsided view

  • Why is that dog there?

  • I think that it's trying to show how the basics on how to do things are easier than people think and that people over complicate things.

  • @boyomeboyo it's taking the piss out of blue peter. ( a kiddies programme in england since the 60z )

  • @russinhouse As well as "How"..which later became "How To". It's funny reading all these comments from Americans, assuming that they're somehow prophesying later American foreign policy

  • Eric Idle has some killer legs, god damn!

  • "next week, we will teach you how to make the blacks and whites live together in harmony" god the Pythons are geniuses

  • BLOODY HELL THAT DOG IS HUGE.

  • Graham is so cute X3

  • why i ended up here???

  • @ONE1LoveOne because everyone ends up here

  • I was mislead....

  • Monty Python is probably the best commedy act in the history of humanity.

  • 7 people don't know how to do it

  • I thought he wanted to be called Loretta...

  • GOOD GOD I FEEL SMARTER ALREADY!

  • Pitbull2005, finish the sentence. Not even what?

  • i love how eric doesnt even try to change his voice.

  • Omg.... I recognised Eric only 40 seconds into teh sketch!.... >__<

  • If you are danish - thenthink about Graham Chapman as Poul Thmosen in "Dus med dyrene". Even the dog is the same.

  • Well, he finally got to be a woman...Probably called Loretta.

  • Good Lord, when I think " Blue Peter" was the centre of our TV in the 60`s I am amazed we didnt all grow up to be perfect Einsteins, or did we ???

  • Jackie's breasts are not even!

  • God, this is PAINFUL!! LOL

  • I can't say how many times I have seen this sketch but I will name my firstborn Notlob, after John Cleese.

  • @MrVordas Notlob? You told me it was Ipswich!

  • This bit with John, Graham, Eric is so damn epic!!!

  • The highlight of this was Graham playing with the doggie. I want da doggie!

  • What series is this from?

  • "Thanks Jackie, great idea!"

  • The women, Jacky I think is the first troll scientists. Too bad she forgot the last part... THE PROFIT!!!!

  • @valdas0 And also the first transgender to anchor a show on TV. :D :D

  • Eric Idle has nice legs.

    Just sayin.

  • @brainmachine04

    dear god that's true!

  • 6 people are doctors/flute players

  • One of my favourite MP-sketches ever!

  • Graham and the doggie seemed to be buddies. D'aw, so cute.

  • John Cleese's humor in this sketch reminds me a lot of Colin Mochrie. Perhaps it should have been the other way around?

  • Racist.

  • @TheOnlineMediaWatch ....wise up !

  • the intro music, their naive attitude, eric idle as a woman, and cheerio! this sketch is is amazing

  • I do not think the dog is British....

  • TUV Rheinland training program.

  • And yet 6 people found this unlikable! Hope I don't know any of them.

  • Everyone smile, that's scaring

  • I've seen TED talks that were more or less this.

  • In british english, ANYTHING can sound like sexual innuendo

  • I think they must be my teachers from high school.

  • they make me think of those weird overexcited people from catholic organisations for youngsters, if you know what i mean?^^

    Eric though...<3

  • I remember this series well, particularly the episode before this one. Thanks to it I've been a successful gynaecologist for over thirty years now!

  • @allblue3 I am sulking!

  • Man, I mised how to become a gynecologist! Now I'll never know how to do that.

  • @DasGoldenBoy It's the same as playing the flute. ;)

  • Blue Peter should go back to this formula

  • Pretty much like expertvillage. :D

  • @oOfretlessOo hhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • 291 people are hot for Eric Idle.

  • @theanvilcracks I know I am!

  • @theanvilcracks I am one of these people ;) yomnomnom, hahaha

  • I WANT THAT DOG!!!!!!!!!!

  • Blue Peter in 90 seconds lol . fucking quality

  • Cleese's smile is a bit of scary, you know...

  • Thanks jackie .. great idea ... man i pissed my pants laughing there!

  • ''Last week we showed you how to become a gynaecologist'' My favourite ever Python quote

  • My God! The Pythons predicted Wikihow! And it is as silly as they thought!

  • @Namadof This is as informative as an expertvillage video

  • Hello, Alan! Hello, Jackie!

  • @Gage371 Apparently. 0.o

  • flood wuzz here

  • Somehow I learned more from this than ExpertVillage...

  • hahah this video is already more helpful than expert village will ever be!

  • I love when eric's a woman with his own voice

  • HOw do they not LAUGH when they are doing this!

  • @harveydents I bet they did and they had to shoot it over and over till

    they got it right.

  • These are obviously folks working in the current administration here in the US.

  • ooh, I love Eric as a woman =D

  • john cleese is freaking me out...

  • "Hello Jackie x)"

  • Every time i see an animal in older films and tv shows it's always depressing to think 'that animal's probably dead by now.'

    Unless it's a tortoise.

Or a parrot. (Except in Python, heh heh.)

  • @HisEmptyHouse He's only PININ' for the FJORDS! (Beautiful PLUMMAGE, innit?)

  • @HisEmptyHouse The parrot is dead? OMG, the horror...

  • An explanation is on order.

In the 70s British children's TV was seen as patronizing with a tendency to over simplify complex issues so young minds could understand things.

Now the adult TV shows are the ones that are dumbed down.

  • i love John Cleese....♥

  • My favorite.. how to split an atom...:)

  • @allinhungary I was wondering if anyone else got that. XD

  • LOL-This is how you think when you are 18:D

  • @MrBeerbug Which makes it even funnier ;)

  • Flood was here.

  • "Great idea!"

  • Comment removed

  • @SgtPepper303 eric :D

  • This sketch is really detailed

  • It's this kind of vague, unspecific instructions on how to do pointless things that make contemporary daytime television possible.

  • on behalf of Expert Village....

  • Damn... which I'd seen last week's...

  • @jagarf Me too...fuckshitdammitfart..........tits. That was weird. SQUIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • "You blow there and you move you fingers up down here."

    That's what she said.

  • There are many lucky dogs in the history of British television, but I can say without any doubts whatsoever that this one here is the luckiest.

  • -Como tocar la flauta, ahora esta es la flauta, se sopla por aca y se mueven los dedos. XDXD

  • aha, this is the inspiration, of how its made

  • Expert Village at it's finest : )

  • hey effy the old ones are gold ones

  • yike me they would have seen blue peter when they were growing up

  • Sexy legs! :P

  • eric is cuuuuuuuutee

  • I heard this on "Another Monty Python Record" long before I got to see the original....it was always one of my favorite bits...you know, just after "The Naughty Bits of Mr. Edward Heath"

  • Great Idea!...

move your finger up and down...

  • How to play the flute: You blow here, and move your fingers up and down here. xD

  • Funny thing is the only one gay in this scene is Graham Chapman...

  • Woah! i thought it was an actual woman at first!!! lol =0

  • Graham is beautiful!

  • @Harriet123P True that! He is starting to become my favorite...

  • Really one of my favorite python sketches :)

  • Blue Peter or Blue Python?

  • LAWL How to split an atom

  • I just die at 0:33 - 0:36 ... I started cracking up at this as soon as I saw the video still in the sidebar.

  • Comment removed

  • That dog is adorable.

  • "You blow there and move your fingers up and down here"

  • "Thanks Jackie.., great idea."

  • The comedians of all time! I´d marry them all if , they we´re women, and possibly if I was a Muslim man.

  • Classic.

  • John Cleese's character kind of makes me nervous, with all the rocking. XD

  • Eric Idle makes a surprisingly attractive woman.

  • Yeah. I'd hit it. (Sorry, Eric)

  • @endlessone07

    Yes he does :s :]

  • @endlessone07 that's probably what John Cleese is thinking too, the way he watches him...

  • @endlessone07 he truly does.

  • @endlessone07 he has a good woman's body too, haha (: great legs.

  • @endlessone07 I am looking forward to how many thumbs up you will get.

  • @endlessone07 Yes, but 'she' seems to only have one boob.

  • They didn't teach me to split an atom...

  • It's too possible.
