hey i would appreciate if u responded to this. ive read a lot of reviews on this laptop, and most of them were 5 stars, but there were the occasional 1 stars, saying there were problems with the driver and the screen, which makes me kind of reluctant to go out and get this laptop.

It's funny that the GoW sticker on it next to the touch pad says 1440x900. :P

This 1920 display looks SOOOO much better than the 1440 would have.

the gpu side fan on my p-7805u seems to pulsate high and low every few minutes. is anyone else having this problem? this is the only complaint i have about this laptop though.

FYI, the p-7805u has the WXGA+ resolution and 2.4GHz cpu while the p-7801u has the 2.26GHz cpu and WUXGA resolution. It sounds like yours is the p-7801u by your description, not the p-7805u. Besides, I'd take the p-7801u over the other any day; the p-7805u only has a little faster processing speed while the p-7801u has the 1920x1200 resolution! Hope this helps.

Big here is wrong, its a 2.26 p8400, WUXGA screen,. this one has a 1920 1200 res too. watch my 7805u review video and ill prove it.

According to the Gateway site, the p-7805u has the p8400 like you say, but only has the WXGA+ screen. It could just be that Gateway, the manufacturer, is wrong in its description?

I was mistaken, the p-7807u was the 2.4GHz cpu, not the p-7805u. But according to Gateway's description, the p-7807u is the p-7805u with just a faster processor but same 1440x900 resolution? I don't know for sure if these are incorrect specs, as I do not own either. I opted for the p-7801u for the supposedly higher, WUXGA screen with just a slightly slower cpu than the p-7807u.

The P-7805u is listed as having a WXGA screen with a 1440x900 resolution, however, some of the early batch of the p-7805u's have the WUXGA screen with a 1920x1200 resolution, which is what mine has. Gateway's specs arent wrong for the p-7805u, just that some of the first models are somewhat rare models now.
