i know helions counter lings, but i think this proves zerg need a buff. honestly, who else can get a planetary fortress that makes it impossible for a huge cloud of lings to destroy it? marines can easily take out a bunch of spine crawlers in the same numbers. and lings need more health. they get useless as soon as your opponent gets out a decent number of units

It's kinda funny how QXC stuck with Lings and Queens and spine crawlers. All T1 units while the Terran had to cheat with hellions (T1.5) and Medivacs (T2) and even lifiting off the building at the end which is kinda gay to do in a showmatch... Especially after having cheated TWICE already.

But if anything, this shows that Terran is quite weak when going just marines and nothing else.

I have steamrolled players with mass 3/3 stim and shield marines many times before. They rage and leave and that's why i do it. Not because it takes any skill but because people are too stupid to realize just how squishy those marines are and i laugh at their idiocy. It's a matter of using your units properly...

@nerfusplz i agree he stimmed against an inferior number of lings. his stim did 10 times damage than the lings wouldve done if he attacked without it. i mean this is bull stim is for emergency uses not any time you engage. especially if you lack medivacs they terran player is terrible

can some one answer this- if i hot key like 5 hive,lair or what ever and each one has a queen can hot key the queen and get the queen nearest to each lair to spawn larva without me having to go to each lair or hive?

No in order to spawn larva you need to take the queen and select the specific hatchery you want.

If you hotkey all your Queens in one group (I use 5) you can hit shift, select spawn larva, then click on each hatchery. There are two ways to quickly cycle through the hatches; you can either do the "view base" method (default backspace; I've bound mine to my browser forward button on my mouse), or my preffered method, using the minimap. So for 5 bases for me, it'd be 5, shift+v+click click click click click, enjoy larva.

I always wanted to try a Zergling-only or Roach-only army, get scenes like those in the books "Starship Troopers" and "Armor"--feels like the Zerg were absolutely inspired by the Bugs. I will try it in single player for sure. Still, I just don't see how it could work even if your opponent does not get air units, because by the time you get the upgrades and numbers you need on those little guys, your opponents area attack units will go apeshit on them. A pro player could make it work.

anyways, we cannot pinpoint the inspiration for SC to any specific sci-fi franchise, since the developers were likely familiar with every franchise there was - AvP, WH40k, SW etc etc ...

every game ( including SC ) also offers something refreshing and unique to itself.

@Doesnotcomput3 yes it is a air units. Overlord count as a supply building which allows you to make more men and it also is a air unit that u could use to fly around to spot ur enemy. Medivacs are drop ships with healing powers LOL

1. The terran should've gotten building armor, +2 armor for buildings makes a lot of difference against zerglings.

2. With nothing but zerglings, he should've gotten orbital commands instead of planetary fortress, since he can just lift the orbital command when the zerglings swarm in.

3. The terran should've gotten some siege tanks, for the splash damage against zerglings and taking down spine crawlers from afar.
