03 F150 5.4L Straight Pipes

Well i ended up just going with a y pipe and 4 inch tips, it sounds pretty good

the shop here said they cant do true duals on my 2001 f150 why?, is it because of the cats or what?

@17irok71 idk why they said that, i had it on mine. on mine i had them cut out the stock y pipe and run true duals straight back

@BOBBYDIESEL1000 oh this is a old video, my truck is even louder then that now... im goin to make a video of the new pipes at thanksgiving... my setup now is shorty headers, rear cats cut off, x-pipe, then straight pipe the rest of the way

How did that affect gas mileage?

@nskaja56071 im not sure, i put the straights on it the same week i got the truck. but ive learn alot about cars goin to uti and putting true dual striaghts on a car or truck is piontless, youll loose low end torque. true dual are not efficient till 7k rpm and my truck will never see that. Im bout to put shorty headers, delete my 2 rear cats, and then a x pipe on it a couple weeks, that will give me more low end torque, good back pressure, and better scavenging.

You should cut off 2 of the 4 cats. i have an 02' with a 5.4 with true dual straights with the second set of cats cut off..talk about LOUD

@hondaman338 right where the stock pipes came together it was cut right there and run true striaght duals with 4in tipes, i want to take the 4 cats off and put 2 highflow cats on there
