in those days you won about $ 2,000 if you won a tour tournament. they made better money doing some exhibitions and the fans loved it. I'll never forget seeing palmer and billy casper at braidburn c.c. in new jersey in 1960. I remember every shot they took and I was only 11 years. old. On the 1st hole arnold palmer hit a driver out of the ruff to clear a fairway bunker about 240 yards away. best shot I ever saw in my life.
