on the side theres a tensioner with 2 10mm nuts, remove it and replace it with a new one. they all have hooks on it. compress it hool it and install. finally get a long flathead and follow the chain down youll see the hook and tap it off. your done :)
@homebrewtube hahah really? with a ford yeah it wont jump a tooth but a honda will ask my sister she knows all about it.her toyota belt did the same thing
@robby844 ...owned an E-series for 5 years, and now an AU...... been working on them, i KNOW. ...... Some slack is normal, too tight, and it puts too much pressure on the AUX shaft. The slack shown in the vid is due to worn chain/guides/tensioner etc. but, NO it wont jump a tooth, possibly might have a rattle but that is all. Fucks sake, ive drove around for a week with a broken chain tensioner giving the car shit in the meantime, you wont get that chain to jump a tooth

Its not sound you're looking for, its slack.
RobertGary1 2 years ago
that tensioner that you had the screwdriver on should have a plastic coating on it that can make plenty of noise without it
manfer1020 3 years ago
Yep, that's what solved the problem, new guides and chain. It'd done 250,000km.

@galapogos01 How much did it cost to replace it?
