  • the old asubsions of reality VS make u beleave

  • Well, at least the name fits.

  • Name calling instead of honest debate of real issues? Typical .. Being able to call others names is NOT the way to go about making the world a better place ..

  • Dear Lauren, I hope that you find the contents of this care package useful. Take care. Love, Uncle Paul

  • Heston was always conservative, but also, passionately believed that all people of any color deserved the same rights as everyone else. Just because you have conservative views, does NOT mean that you think people of color don't deserve the same rights as white people. He believed in freedom, and that included the freedom to bare arms.

  • I understand totally. However, many of the people I know who support the Republican party are racist. So, I guess, for me, it is guilt through association. What I am stating has nothing to do with Charlton Heston, he was just a cool cat.

  • It works both ways. There're people who are racist in the Democratic party as well, but that minority should not define an entire party. By the way, you probably know this but many people I have found don't, Martin Luther King Jr., wasn't a Democrat, he was a regestered Republican :). Back on topic here..I agree with you 100%, Heston was a cool cat! Loved him in Waynes World 2! Thanks bg147 for your honest but respetful reply. It was appreciated, because It can get to heated here sometimes :D.

  • Omega Man was about disease, not nuclear war. What movie is this really?

  • @Nerdykid95 war and germ warfare....

    terry

  • This is the way I feel all the time:(

  • Brand new bio (Charlton Heston: An Incredible Life)at amazon. Its by Michelle Bernier!

  • I'm sure they hate you too. Infact, I recently travelled through Russia and China and you're name came up on the news over there. Putin actually said "Aunuscus is a dumb fuck". You're famous!

  • :D

Dont forget the growing hate for aunuscus in his own country as well!

  • i was 16 when i first seen this movie and it still scare me....

  • MATHIAS WAS THE MAIN BAD GUY.

  • Asa kidd "Omega Man & Planet thet went Ape" were my favorite all time movies.

    "Ben Hur" was cool too

    Charelton Heston will be missed.

  • It's good to know that you weren't traded for a chicken.

  • That's interesting. Thx :)

  • rofl

  • I think in the book it was nuclear war that caused the virus, but I can't really remember.

  • OK...OK....the first blast scene is from a vietnam film reel of naplam bombs.....and the last blast scene is a test hydrogen bomb...doesn't any one watch the history channel!

  • Hamasalkeida, where does you name originate from?

  • Hey Junior Knumbskull (ludocrat). Hamasalkeida's comment was an explanation of the technology that utilizes a TNT / Atomic simulation. That particular explosion is obviously not the same one, dork.

  • Everyone's an expert. Even dimwits who can't read. They tend to defend their fellow dimwits. At least that's consistent I suppose - in a collectively dimwit sort of way.

  • You're just making things up. The movie was made 36 years ago so how can it include footage of a blast experiment ten or twenty years later?

It looks like an H-bomb trigger test from the fifties.

But your use of the word 'infidel' demonstrates a far deeper ignorance. You should not feel it as appropriate to insult people with your religious bigotry anywhere.

  • Ok - can anybody tell me what that circular tower thing was that blew up towards the end? I have showed it and nobody seems to know what it is (was) before they blew it up.

Can you help us identify it?

  • Seems odd to me that Charlton Heston, who appears to be hated by quite a large portion of his own country's population, not only starred in but helped to create three of the most chilling and meaningful dystopic future-world visions ever attempted in film (of the period): Omega Man, Soylent Green and Planet of the Apes. Serious stuff for a "gun-crazy neo-con". Maybe they'll be nicer to him when he's gone.

  • it's becuase hippies suck! heston rules!

  • lol

  • True. Heston was pretty liberal in the 50's and 60's. I believe he was with the screen actors guild in the early 60's and did various work for liberal causes in the early and mid 60s. His politics changed in the early 80s. He became pro NRA. But I don't know if he abandoned all his earlier lib. beliefs.

  • I agree.

Not that you did it, but I think it's a bit harsh to get a thumbs down for yer basic 'lol'. I was just being nice to the last poster, taking the comment as ironic, don't cha know!

  • Pretty soon,I believe within 5 years 10 at the most we are going to have some REAL GLOBAL WARMING,courtesy of a few nukes!

This will be known according to myself as 'The Great Human Fish Fry"!!.

So get ready to kiss your arses goddbye!

  • Yeah, I have a response....Uh, WHAT?

  • A Movie made 36 years ago, and STILL politically relevant today! This and the movie: Network. They have both been prophetic. From Network: we have collectively become the humanoids that are described, as we continue 'The Great American Rectal-Crainial Inversion' by losing intelligence. The Omega Man Paradigm has yet to happen, but now more than ever, we sit at the brink of it!

  • I'm telling you. Heston was the bomb back then. He got on this Sci-Fi-Socio-Political trip with Planet of The Apes, The Omega Man and Soylent Green. All prophetic commentary on what is going down TODAY! Add 1975s Rollerball to the list and you have the perfect Retro Dystopian Movie Festival!

  • Don't Forget to add Network to the list first, then 1984 just before Planet of the Apes and then you'll really have the retro-dystopian future we're now currently on the brink of!

  • Can you recommend any similiar types of movies??

  • Nice montage. Pro abortion message though. And with Charleton Heston of all people.

  • He's thinking "why didnt we kill all the liberals when we had the chance". So we better hurry up and finish the job today while there is still light.

  • No, he's thinking "why didn't we kill all of the commies while we had the chance."

  • You know fucktard. Charlton Heston fought during the Civil Rights Movement to give less fortunate Americans the chance to have their own deservent rights. What the fuck have you done with your life?

  • oh yeah! sorry...i don't understand the american "rights"...of course all american people deserve a weapon for self defense! you have that right!! people finally have the chance to live happily with guns!! And don't call me a fucktard for criticizing that stupid vicious circle of crime and self-defense that you are all into...and about civil rights...i don't care..i'm not american...if it isn't nobel prize..guess what?..i don't give a shit..

  • The lack of professionalism in debates is a key weak point in many, but especially Americans. If emotionally aroused and wishing to defend views, they are more than obliging to add needless obscenities in lieu of wit (or at least trying to hone one)...

Mr. "Fucktard" Summeyson is an excellent specimen for this.

Keep in mind however that while he may represent the average idiot, he does *not* represent a composite of US citizens.
