Carriers are NOT obsolete. They project sovereign US territory overseas wherever we want it to be. Any attack on the carrier is understood to be an attack on the United States. This is how we can kick our foot in the door and stay there, as we please. No matter the vulnerability; that is like saying it would be easy to shoot at Rhode Island -- sure, it's true, but would anyone dare? Carriers are extensions of US territory, plain and simple.

@DrumL3000 eurofighter is a 3rd generation airplane....it is born in the 4th generation as a 3th generation. f22,f35,su-37 an su-47 are much better.
