yeah, because we all play side scrollers for the story. Ever heard of that old game super mario brothers? Yeah, it not only set the standard, it IS what side scrolling will always be. No story = no problem in this genre, and I feel sad for you if you don't think that is totally cool. Maybe you have missed the entire point of playing these games at all. It ain't about the story, to put it more basically.
