No way 279. the 257 was only achieved by leaning over....riding on the smaller diameter of the tire changing the rpm vs speed...what showed 257 is a lot closer to the 252 it was doing in a straight line...which is also likely a somewhat optimistic speedo...use a GPS for your REAL speed.

That's a big belt-sander you're driving on. Hopefully, you have the toughest leathers on. My V45 only went to 220 km/h. No digital speedo on the' 83.

It can...it a close to 100hp bike on the rearwheel V-tech even. Its not the fastest bike on earth. But it sure as hell is for the cash you buy one a whorty bike speedwise.

Maybe see a VFR upclose and talk to someone who actually owns one. Then you would have known this firsthand.

Great video dude!!!! I have a question for you and everyone who have a VFR, I was planing to get mine but a friend told me it would be very hard at that speed because of the position!! I would fell like the air is gonna take my head off supposely!! Is that true?? Going at that speed on the vfr is hard because of the position?? tnx...

@dannyehp Hi, I ride my VFR 800 VTEC for 3 years now, I'm 1,90m and I do have to put my head down from 200 km/h, I lifted my head once at 240 and I never did that again! But that is the case with every sportive bike...

It can speed up more....up to 279 but i didn't have the chance to do it in this ride because i was approaching the tolls.... The power commander was set up to give better acceleration and fill the gap till 7000RPM. But even thought it can hold the higher speed even on roads with opposite strong wind or on uphill roards

Shouldn't need a power commander to pull that off. My 1998 VFR will put the speedo in the 255-260kph neighborhood. Ofcourse, that's indicated, reality is 9-12% lower.
