Not everything a person writes is *their own opinion*...clearly, the song writer is pretending to be someone who hates music, and this song is written accordingly.

Darnielle almost always writes songs from the perspective of a character--the lyrics aren't his own opinion. And also, it's obvious because of the way he mispronounces morrissey in the song. it's meant to be funny, you idiots.
