When I first started playing DA2 way back when, I saw Anders do his glowy Justice thing and was like "MINE." I left Fenris out of the party all the time for about three playthroughs, claiming he was "grumpy." I later tried romancing Fenris just to see what it was, ready to go back to Anders next time, and found it was impossible to go back. I have had Fenris in my party 24/7 since :D

I loved having conversations with Fenris, just so I could hear this music. Guh. Also, since everyone else is saying so... I can't stand Anders. Which is not to say I'm team Fenris, but, at least Fenris, in the end, understand what being a friend actually entails.

DA2 hate is hate...purely because it's hate. There is nothing wrong with this game. In many ways it is better than the first one. People tend to look at sequels as the first in many things. You can't do that, you must look at it as a story in a series. That's what it is. DA2, overall was better imo. Lots of people are taking back hate they had for it now that they have actually played it!!

Origins has a Tons of Replayability than DA2 so many choices that actually make some difference in the game ,and different combat style within one class (though DA2 combat system is way better imo) and there are many things need some polishing in this game more than Origins (like reusing same map or not even a single thing changed as time goes by,

@TheJedimaster6788 I got the game when it first came out. It had its good points. I do admit it had some better things but overall I prefer origins. I just find origins with better replay value over DA2. I like how the fighting was better but I love how each place you go to in origins is different and gives you a breath of fresh air. I also prefer the origins party over the DA2. Everyone has their preference.
The beginning sounds a bit like the mage pride song. I like how this sounds and I liked Fenris and all but having him in a party with Anders or Sebastian made me want to bash my head in. Those three in a party have got to have to be the biggest whiners ever. "Mages this mages that" "Templars blah blah evil" "Chantry blah preach preach". I prefer the lighthearted banters from origins over those guys... or Varric's and Isabella's party banter.
@Lady4080 I guess I should rephrase... I like any party banter with Varric because he doesn't take sides and makes jokes about a persons personality. I love how he joked about the chars brooding.
I was Thane's girl in Mass Effect, and I'm Fenris' girl in Dragon Age. If you see a theme, then don't mind me blushing here. I just can't resist a dark mysterious man in dark clothes. Just so delicious. But this theme fits him perfectly. It's not sad and broody. It has and air of hope about it. The night is darkest just before the dawn. <3
I like Fenris. My brother really hated him though. He didn't want to romance Fen, 'cause apparently Fenris is "too much of a woman". Didn't stop him romancing Merrill and Isabela though (who are presumably more women than Fenris is ;D). Oh, and Anders, romanced him too.

Fenris is so tortured and has been through so many hard times. He's learned to trust no one and to always make sure that he takes care of himself before ever worrying about putting his neck on the line for others. To see him transition from this hardened shell of a being to just a damaged elf looking for someone to listen really amazes me. David Gaider truly is an amazing writer and he creates such real emotions for the characters in Dragon Age 2. Fenris is truly an amazing character <3
Fenris needs to carry around an ipod with this song on it so he can play it whenever he pisses Hawke off. Even if you feel like you could rip his head off for being so stubborn, as soon as this song comes on with his sad voice, your heart melts like butter. I mean, could you stay mad at that?

The Lyrium ghost concept is creative and amazing. Fenris becomes a likeable character after you give him the book of shartan and he opens up, but until the end of act 2, every little choice is a landmine with this guy. On all my playthroughs, I've maxed his friendship. However, a brooding fenris is too similar to a brooding sasuke uchiha; I just want to slit their carotids.
@robertekew Except Sasuke gets worse; he ends up killing a teammate who gets captured because she's "so weak she let herself get captured." Wheras Fenris would probably try to help said teammate (even Anders and Merrill, albeit because of Hawke).
Um, Fenris is different for Sasuke. Sasuke betrayed his companion whereas Fenris helped everyone EVEN (remember) EVEN Merrill and he even holds back of killing Anders because of Hawke. They may be brooding, but that's what they are.
The only reason I got to finish this game was that elf. When i recognized the voice it took a few seconds to try and calm myself.I thought I'd never hear that voice after FFXII.After Alistair, he's my favorite character.Others weren't that great but with him Bioware did a great job;made up a bit for not giving the warden king a bit more space and brief mention of hero of Ferelden.
I wish they would put Alistair and Fenris in the DA3.
Although ima guy but seriously Fenris was the best out there.Though i ended up romancing Isabela(Shes just Hawt and i love her romantic ending) Fenris was just too cool not to try hell its just a game ^^.Never got bored of him talking and he was the first Questioning believes i did :D
Oh, Fenris. I love you so much. Bioware, I thank you for creating such a deep, and unforgettable character. Unlike the other relationships in the game, Hawke and Fenris' love seemed more real. His voice was so dreamy, and his lines when he's in love with you are melting. His story is so sad, which makes him even more lovable. I have fallen hard for that Elf.
And I'm back to this song. If he wants it to be, he'll only show you his aggresive, kick-ass side. Win him over and you will SEE his depth. Good job Bioware, you gave life to one legendary companion.

You cant blame Fenris for hating mages he was abducted and abused by the man he could trust more than anyone, and for that he only relied on what he though to be right was to hate all mages cause of their lust for blood mages but when Hawke got him he changed his mind from step to step which makes Fenris my Favourite of all
Anytime I see Inon Zur listed as a composer for a video game soundtrack, I know that game is going to be amazing. He definitely knows how to set ANY mood.
This theme couldn't some up Fenris' character any better.
He's feral & a little savage, very mysterious & some might say exotic, crippled by sadness & full of bitterness & hate, though it's very possible for him to learn how to trust again & he can become entirely devoted to Hawke. Beeeeautiful. :D
@TheFlowerGirl13 I found his voice pretty funny at times. Sometimes I would click on him just to hear him say 'Hawke' and then laugh like an idiot. ^.^
I dont think people give Fenris enough credit. He is an amazing character. he can be serious, funny, romantic, hot, cute, sweet, rude... it is very impressive considering bioware fit all of this into one character. He was way more fun to romance than Anders, which surprised me :D
@TheVGamer I bet you're thinking about how hes voiced by the same man who voiced Balthier.Well he has a unique voice and voice actors do lots of jobs. Or if you're talking about character personality, there's no such thing as pure originality anymore, so what if there are similarities. Though I will say High Town reminded me of Arcadia from FFXII
Fenris is among the most memorable characters that Bioware created in this franchise. He evokes such strong reactions; you either love or hate him... but that shows you that he's a great character because he gets under you skin. I hope his story doesn't end here. There should have been more with him :(

Rivalmanced Fenris, and strangely found his constant anger with my Lady Hawke fun. But the two of them became incredibly close. To me it felt like they loved each other and were always brutally honest with one another.
fenris wasnt a fan of my mage. Since I loved mages it made it hard for me to like fenris. But despite that he was an awesome character and since my anger and disgust for him felt so genuine, i thought it said alot about the game developers.
Fenris is by far my favourit companion , partly cos i love his tevinter fugitive abilitys and partly just because i foudn his chracter and design to be very well done =)
my brother was like romance with anders! he is a badass, so i flirted once, then FENRIS! and andrastes angels were singing in the backround!

First time I played DA2, Hawke hooked up with Anders.
Second time around, I was curious to see what it was like with Fenris.
Anders made me feel some guilt when he questioned it, but as much as I admired Anders, Fenris was also still pretty awesome.
And, even after I helped the mages, I still had Fenris on my side.
So, in the long run, as much as I loved Anders.....Fenris was the biggest cutie, overall. :) ♥

DA2 hate is hate...purely because it's hate. There is nothing wrong with this game. In many ways it is better than the first one. People tend to look at sequels as the first in many things. You can't do that, you must look at it as a story in a series. That's what it is. DA2, overall was better imo. Lots of people are taking back hate they had for it now that they have actually played it!!

Origins has a Tons of Replayability than DA2 so many choices that actually make some difference in the game ,and different combat style within one class (though DA2 combat system is way better imo) and there are many things need some polishing in this game more than Origins (like reusing same map or not even a single thing changed as time goes by,

@TheJedimaster6788 I got the game when it first came out. It had its good points. I do admit it had some better things but overall I prefer origins. I just find origins with better replay value over DA2. I like how the fighting was better but I love how each place you go to in origins is different and gives you a breath of fresh air. I also prefer the origins party over the DA2. Everyone has their preference.

The beginning sounds a bit like the mage pride song. I like how this sounds and I liked Fenris and all but having him in a party with Anders or Sebastian made me want to bash my head in. Those three in a party have got to have to be the biggest whiners ever. "Mages this mages that" "Templars blah blah evil" "Chantry blah preach preach". I prefer the lighthearted banters from origins over those guys... or Varric's and Isabella's party banter.

Fenris was without adoubt the most interesting male cahracter. I wouldnt say the most interesting character in general, I still loved Merrill more.
I remember beeing mad at him for being so stubborn and having so much prejudices. I always stormed into his house after he did this and that.

I was Thane's girl in Mass Effect, and I'm Fenris' girl in Dragon Age. If you see a theme, then don't mind me blushing here. I just can't resist a dark mysterious man in dark clothes. Just so delicious. But this theme fits him perfectly. It's not sad and broody. It has and air of hope about it. The night is darkest just before the dawn. <3

I like Fenris. My brother really hated him though. He didn't want to romance Fen, 'cause apparently Fenris is "too much of a woman". Didn't stop him romancing Merrill and Isabela though (who are presumably more women than Fenris is ;D). Oh, and Anders, romanced him too.

I tried really hard to friendmance Fenris, but pissed him off way too much for that. So, I just gave up and rivalmanced him. And I'm sorry, I've beaten the game twice now, and I'm always with Fenris at first, but I cant help but go back to Anders. I love both though, and Fenris's whole 'conflicted bad boy' thing gets be every time. Plus those eyes.... who wouldnt kill for those eyes??

Fenris is so tortured and has been through so many hard times. He's learned to trust no one and to always make sure that he takes care of himself before ever worrying about putting his neck on the line for others. To see him transition from this hardened shell of a being to just a damaged elf looking for someone to listen really amazes me. David Gaider truly is an amazing writer and he creates such real emotions for the characters in Dragon Age 2. Fenris is truly an amazing character <3

I loved Fenris deeply. He just grows so much as a person throughout the romance, and I think Hawke can learn a lot from him as well.

The Lyrium ghost concept is creative and amazing. Fenris becomes a likeable character after you give him the book of shartan and he opens up, but until the end of act 2, every little choice is a landmine with this guy. On all my playthroughs, I've maxed his friendship. However, a brooding fenris is too similar to a brooding sasuke uchiha; I just want to slit their carotids.

@robertekew Except Sasuke gets worse; he ends up killing a teammate who gets captured because she's "so weak she let herself get captured." Wheras Fenris would probably try to help said teammate (even Anders and Merrill, albeit because of Hawke).

Um, Fenris is different for Sasuke. Sasuke betrayed his companion whereas Fenris helped everyone EVEN (remember) EVEN Merrill and he even holds back of killing Anders because of Hawke. They may be brooding, but that's what they are.

The only reason I got to finish this game was that elf. When i recognized the voice it took a few seconds to try and calm myself.I thought I'd never hear that voice after FFXII.After Alistair, he's my favorite character.Others weren't that great but with him Bioware did a great job;made up a bit for not giving the warden king a bit more space and brief mention of hero of Ferelden.
I wish they would put Alistair and Fenris in the DA3.

Oh, Fenris. I love you so much. Bioware, I thank you for creating such a deep, and unforgettable character. Unlike the other relationships in the game, Hawke and Fenris' love seemed more real. His voice was so dreamy, and his lines when he's in love with you are melting. His story is so sad, which makes him even more lovable. I have fallen hard for that Elf.

I dont think people give Fenris enough credit. He is an amazing character. he can be serious, funny, romantic, hot, cute, sweet, rude... it is very impressive considering bioware fit all of this into one character. He was way more fun to romance than Anders, which surprised me :D

Fenris is among the most memorable characters that Bioware created in this franchise. He evokes such strong reactions; you either love or hate him... but that shows you that he's a great character because he gets under you skin. I hope his story doesn't end here. There should have been more with him :(

Rivalmanced Fenris, and strangely found his constant anger with my Lady Hawke fun. But the two of them became incredibly close. To me it felt like they loved each other and were always brutally honest with one another.

fenris wasnt a fan of my mage. Since I loved mages it made it hard for me to like fenris. But despite that he was an awesome character and since my anger and disgust for him felt so genuine, i thought it said alot about the game developers.
